Are there any 4.4 roms for the Verizon HTC One that are good for daily use/close to no bugs. I was looking at the tikTak rom, does anyone have any opinions on that rom as in stability. Also, how does it compare to cyanogenmod 11? which one would I be better of using?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
(BTW, just got the phone!)
The tiKtaK ROM is perfectly suitable for daily driver. Highly recommend

I personally run tiKtaK and haven't had a problem with it. Santod does a good job on his roms and answers questions pretty quickly if you have a problem. Not sure about CM 11 as I haven't ran that rom yet.
tiKtaK or beanstalk are perfect daily drivers as far as AOSP is concerned

agreed. First kitkat ROM I've tried and its working very well so far for me. BT paired perfectly with no force closes (BT has been an issue on these ROMs so far).
Thanks for all of the replies.
Could someone give me a brief instruction on how to unlock/s-off/root ?

Thanks brholt6.
I have yet to run rumrunner s-off for my Verizon HTC One w HBoot 1.54 .
From my understanding,
Goto the rumrunner website http://rumrunner.us/
Under Download page. Goto Device Specific Downloads.
The ROM version is very important, find your version by going to Settings>About Phone> Software Info . Software Number is going to be your ROM Version.
Once you find your version, download the specific rumrunner for yours.
Follow the instructions on the rumrunner website!!!! Once your done running rumrunner your next step is going to want to flash a custom recovery and gain root .
TWRP is located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416431
there is also a SU link on that page you should grab.
I Bought my Verizon HTC One Last Friday, I have yet to do anything with it .
This is my 5th HTC, gaining s-off and unlocked bootloader is similar with every one .
Please Let me know if I made any mistakes.
Always double check your work
If I helped, Hit that Thanks Button Good luck, Post your results

TikTak is good. Ecliptic inverted is cool. But my favorite is GPe by JoelZ9614 is by far!
GPE was great except at this point had bluetooth issues and battery drain otherwise was very very solid. on CM11 nightly and only complaint is lack of beats audio for headset speakers..

I'm running cyanogen 11 now. Everything smooth quick set up. Alil issue with LTE but working great now
I love the GPE port. Bluetooth is now seemingly fixed with a patch, and everything else works perfectly!

Definitely GPE, he has patches for BT/time. Andybones also added a volume wake mod if you search the same thread.
Grab xposed installer, load up gravitybox for more framework mods and you're good to go!
aosp... i hate the stock skin. CM11 is pretty stable. Plus you get 4.4.2.
Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt you lose all the extra softwear for the camera and beats audio if you not on a sense rom? i mean dont get me wrong i love AOSP i ran them ever since Cyanogenmod 6 came out. but the sense roms have some kind of camera framework related due to its need of the ultra pixels or something. please correct me if im wrong because i woul dlove to one day be back on Pac_man Rom but eclyptic rom 4.4 is my choice right now.. That due has gotten it right on point. also answering this trying to get the 10 post so i could go help on dev section :silly:

I downloaded Ecliptic on my son's One. Works great. I got a later One which a dev had for a bit. I've tried Ecliptic twice now on my One and can't hear anything when a call connects. It's talking to the Verizon towers because I can send and receive texts. Also the phone will send and receive calls but neither end can hear anything.
It's quite annoying. I can run any CM11 nightly with no issues. I don't have enough posts to ask on the official thread for Ecliptic. It might be something simple that I'm missing. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Have you flashed the kitkat firmware also? If not, that may be your issue.

So Ive never had a device (even on sprint) that has no development to be seen within a weeks period of time. I believe the Root we have is from other devices and the CM 10.2 build that was posted was something that was supposed have never seen the light of day and was broken. I totally love this phone but I was really excited for the development aspects since its basically nexus 5 with a different shell. Anyone else with the sprint variant a little worried by the lack of interest?
I'm on the same boat, many probably are.
This phone is still solid stock.. all I really need is tethering... patiently waiting

Development is under way. There are 2 devs working on a CM 10.2 ROM right now and another working on a version of CleanROM for us. Its going to take some time and the phone hasn't been out for a week yet.
Also the CM 10.2 ROM was removed because the build was not tested and verified by the dev to be working and they removed the links to it in case it caused a potential brick to the phone. People who downloaded the ROM say it had GPS lock and rotation issues so you don't want to download the ROM anyways. In fact they saved you the hassle of reverting back to stock or a nandroid backup. Read the last few posts in that CM 10.2 thread to get a sense of the situation.
I am not worried at all about the "lack of interest" in this phone. You have to remember that not all the potential devs have received the phone yet such as garwynn who probably just received the phone today. Lets give the potential devs some time to come out with new ROMs and other mods. There are enough ways currently to mod the current stock ROM anyways through Xposed and other mods like (increase volume).
Its only been a week. Our device was rootable even before Sprint released it. I'm not worried. For now I've been using Greenify + Titanium Backup to keep my phone in battery/performance BEAST MODE.

Install G2 xposed and you'll see you can do a lot of the customization yourself. There's also an xposed kitkat theme in the theme's section by ock. The device is already fast and ignoring aosp roms, you can customize the stock rom to your liking.

I was just noticing that compared to devices I've had in the past (even the SGS II which I hated lol) had some things pop up pretty quickly. Also make sure that no one takes this as me complaining, just thinking out loud here.
And as to the xposed stuff, Im atually just interested in some slimed down stock roms and AOSP, but thanks for making sure I knew about it
PS: Ive also had this phone for close to a month so Im probably feeling that rom flash bug harder than most XD

1. Our device shipped with Android 4.2.2 already, no kernel work was needed.
2. 4.2.2 Google Edition was mostly stripped down Sense, which is no longer the case.
There are other reasons as well, but I won't go into them, as they are all but behind me now anyhow...I'm almost satisfied with the port. (and no, NO ETA's, lol)

Can the Sense camera still be installed on the GPE 4.4 like it could on 4.2/4.3? That's the only reason I would switch to it - I hate AOSP camera.

If I'm not mistaken, you were asking for help on fixing your softbricked One after you flashed ARHD to it. You also asked a few weeks back about changing your CID to let you flash stuff not intended for the Verizon model.
Please, stop. You clearly don't know what you're doing. Take a break from flashing ROMs and browse the forums for info on the HTC flashing process and how the Verizon One differs from the international model. It would be a waste if you bricked a perfectly good phone that you had to import from the US.

i know its a perfect device but comes with many Verizon apps that i don't want and don't use at all. also the battery life that i am getting is quiet not good that is why i thought to put a diff. custom Rom that promises for better battery life and performance but since now i know that its incompatible with my device i would like to use stock version for now. i like ARHD because it gives a stock like experience. i just love the HTC's userinterface and OS that is why i won't be flashing any other Rom like ViperOne or CM which is even compatible with it.
my device is now currently fixed and i won't be tinkering it for while now

Santod040's debloated, rooted, deodexed/odexed stock ROM seems to me to be exactly what you're describing. I've been using his versions after the OTA updates, and they've been perfect.
(I'm often messing with settings or playing games on my phone, fiddling with Tasker etc., and I get good battery life. Usually 60% plus left going from 6:30AM to 9:00PM. Anecdotal, I know, but still.)

It'll be in your best interest to try them out. Any of the sense roms are great (ecliptic or any nusense). You'll find people that are lean towards one or the other...it's just personal preference. Couldn't tell ya about any aosp roms though. I'm one of the weird ones that thinks Sense is way better (and much more stable).

Battery life sense nusense by far has the best battery life. But tethering just had to much issues. Best tethering in a sense ROM is ecliptic.

I hear Solar Flare is pretty decent.
Just trolling....Only way to find out what is the "best" is to try them all. The "best" is subjective and depends on your usage. But everyone's replies are pretty much stating that.
I'd vote for unsense as well. Fast and solid.

If you want something a little different that's based on Sense 6, try out Bonestock or NuSenseSix.

The 2nd snapshot of CM12.1 (10/7) is rock solid. Since they released the first snapshot, I haven't even messed with the nightly game. Works so well it finally got me off CM11, which I didn't think would ever happen.
WiFi interferes with bluetooth, and the animations are broken. I'll give it another try though.

The only time Wifi interferes with bluetooth for me is when I'm using Hotspot function (and actually it's the opposite -- the hotspot won't allow anyone to connect to the internet if bluetooth is on), but that's true even on TouchWiz ROMs I've used. Of course, I'm not using the native hotspot on TouchWiz ROMs, so that could be my problem there. Otherwise, I use a bluetooth headset with wifi on all day with no issues. If you try it again, I hope it works for you. I'm pretty happy with it.

Do the broken Netflix, YouTube playback (video loading error), and scrolling bugs still occur on the cm12.1 snapshot? What bugs are there in the snapshot? Thinking about switching from the nightly and doing a fresh install but only if it's worth it.

I haven't encountered a YouTube playback error or any scrolling bug. From what I've read about the scrolling bug, it seems to be an across the board Lollipop issue...??? I've never encountered it, though. I do know that Netflix doesn't work, but that always seems to be the case with Netflix and custom ROMs on whatever phone I own, so I've pretty much given up watching Netflix on my phone...haha.
I just replaced my aging Note 2 yesterday with an unlocked Nexus 6 64GB. Got tired of the whole Samsung update infinite wait thing (we're now two major OS versions behind), as well as didn't want to have go under another 2 year contract with Sprint. It's going to be nice to always be the first to get the updates now (for a change!).
Use freedompop, its free cell service on the sprint network. I have the YouTube issue and all the ones that I had on the nightly, the nightly was a big jump of small bug fixes though.

I'm probably going to end up on Project Fi.
I really enjoyed seeing Lollipop on the Note 2 and it worked really well for me. I always get way too attached to my phones! Haha. First my HTC Evo 4G and then the Note 2. I tend to hold on to them way too long.
can anybody assist me on obtaining a good rom, kernel, and gapps? please? will be greatly appreciated
