Hi there
I recently purchased a wireless charger and receiver for my Note 2. I am running CM 4.3
I inserted the card contacts to the right side of the phone and ensured contact. when i place my device on the charging pad it simply turns blue indicating it is charging but ..... my battery continues to drain and does not notify me its charging
Any idea whats going on ?
Thank you!
I have a Qi Standard Wireless charger and a note 2 receiver.
If you have the Tmo T899 Note 2 then there are some hardware modifications that must be made for wireless charging to work. Search the Note 2 general forum and you will find instructions.

yep, you've got some additional modding to do. Check the link in my sig for the wifi charging mod.

Hi crew,
Anybody knows if the charger for the Note 10.1 will in the long run damage the Note II. From what I can see both have an output of 5V at around 2A.
The electronic knowledgeable peeps can shed some light?
PS: I think the Galaxy Tab line use the same charge the newer Galaxy Note 10.1 uses.
Thanks
Ron
AFAIK there should be no problems.
No it will definitely not/should not basically...
Although charging is optimum when using stock charger of any phone, its not that it can do any harm AFAIK

I have both and was interested in the question as well (do I need to carry both with me or will I have one in my travel bag and one @home).
I checked both and both are rated @2A so their capacaty is the same.
The note 10.1 shows only a 'red cross' in charging on the PC or on a charger from old Galaxy S2.
Now, plugged to the charget from Note II it works with same current than on original charger
Now I plugged the Note 2 into the Note 10.1 charger, and it's charging with same 1.8A as with original charger!
So from my side it's clear, they are interchangeable
I will use the Note 10.1 for home and the Note 2 charger for travel Old charger stays @ home, could make only 900mA...
P.s.: I checked charger currents by reading /sys/class/power_supply/battery/current_now with root explorer.
Hello guys from XDA!! I would like to tell you something that just happened and something strange. I got a Note 8.0 N5100 which came with the software CLARO, the only thing i did was change the ROM from CLARO to a clear one whitout the icons . when the flashing process ends and the Note 8.0 start i realize than the battery was in 0% and whean i connect the charged did not charge.
Now, here is the weird part:
- I realize that the Note 8.0 has a connector from the Galaxy Tab 2 (the width), and i saw on the videos even in the samsung store that this Note 8.0 has the standard connector from all the galaxy's (i9100,i9300,i9400, etc)
I think that my problem its because of that, as i put the ROM from the Note 8.0 normal (with connector standard) and i seek for the ROM that had before in all the website and i didn't found anything.I not even found a comment about this kind of Note 8.0.
I would be glad know if somebody can help me with this or give me some suggestion
Thanks
Sorry for the english its not my home leguage
We cant understand anything im sorry

the galaxy note 8 uses a standard micro usb port, not the 30 pin like the other galaxy tablets. it does need a 2.1A charger to get the rapid charge going, or you'll be stuck at trickle charging and it'll take a good while to charge. if you don't have the charge and just a usb cable and a computer just hook it up to the computer and let it sit for a few hours. you should maybe have 50% after 4-5 hours.
Thanks

what happens is that came with the connector on the galaxy tab. Always charged so. at the time of change the ROM has stopped charging and battery 0%. What do you think it is?
try another charging adaptor or a different cable
Could you please posts the photo of the connector on your piece and the charger you got?

I just recently got a Galaxy Note 2 and I"m wondering if the chargers are interchangable between the phone and the tablet. Also any cool tips on how to use my note 2 and note 10.1 2014 together would be appreciated
I'm also kind of curious as to what color charger came with the black model? My black model came with a white charger which I thought was odd.

Yes the chargers are interchangeable but the one that comes with the tablet might have a higher output and charge faster.
They are both 2amp chargers so I wouldn't think you would see a difference using either one
the tablet charger is at 5.3V and the phone is at 5V. it doesn't seem to do any harm, but i can't say about long term effects.
so the 5v works fine in the tablet, but possible ill effects if you use the 5.3V(tablet charger) on the phone.
Just starting this for those that wanted to discuss wireless charging for they're Note2.

Wireless charging for the sgh-i317 is a piece of cake. Just pick up a wireless charging receiver from somewhere (ebay, local, etc), align the 2 pins, and place on Qi charger. Easy breezy. I use mine on a DT-900 and no problems.

I am use that wireless charger
SainSonic QI Standard Wireless Charger Receiver Tag for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 NOTE II N7100 LTE
compatible withe
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 / LTE N7105 / LTE AT&T I317
You can use it in easy 4 steps
STEP 1: Open the original case of SAMSUNG.
STEP 2: Stick the receiver card on the mobile phone's battery. Please noted that the two protuberant touching points must touch
the two recesses next to the battery.
STEP 3: Close the original case.
STEP 4: Place the mobile phone onto the wireless charging Pad.
how fast do these charge compared to micro usb cables? i have a 2.1 amp charger and cable that charges my note 2 at 1900ma. can these compete?
Have had the same car charger the last two phones I owned (Note II & Note 3). It would charge 2 phones and keep up with the screen on and GPS running.
However, it doesn't work at all with the Note 4... Plug in the Note 3, no problem.
Am I the only one experiencing this?
Do we need all new car chargers? I realize it has some new fast charging capabilities but I figured the old ones would still work.
My car charger still works but very_very_slowly. If I'm streaming Sirius and using GPS with the screen on it just holds the current percentage of battery life.

The Note 4 charger and battery are different from the from the previous models, and the current note for battery accepts higher voltage (9 volts and 1.5 amps) and the previous models were (5 volts and 2 amps) for the house chargers so i would assume that there is a car charger that has different charging capabilities..
Looks like a second charger I had works fine. Strange.
Weird you say that because same thing happened to me. However, now my charger doesn't work on my old phone could be a coincidence
