I need to flash the stock recovery, as the TWRP gives an error while trying to update to KitKat. Anyone know how to do this without having to factory reset?
Download the factory image for the rom u currently have from google.
Then run command fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
While your tab is in fastboot mode

Hi!
Yesterday i have downloaded and installed new rom for my HTC desire Z..
name of the rom is : aosp.4.2.2 20130627 vision
After installing the rom i installed gapps
version of gapps is : gapps-ics-20120429-signed
And i think i installed the wrong gapps beacuse when i was installing the gapps in the recovery mode...suddenly recovery mode closed...
Now..when i turn on the phone i get an error: Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped
And i dont know what to do please help
Boot to recovery, flash jb gapps, reboot
If this doesn't work
Boot to recovery, do a full wipe, flash ROM, jb gapps, reboot

I downloaded Nexus Toolkit 7.9 and ran a factory flash and unroot. Now im stuck on this Google boot screen. Iv'e tried to go into recovery nothing but boot logo. Ive tried doing almost every option. What else can I try? Help Please.
Advice not use toolkits, but that's your choice
Boot to fastboot and make sure your still unlocked, if not
fastboot oem unlock
Then wipe partitions again
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
Now flash new recovery
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img
Now boot to new recovery and go to advanced
Choose adb sideload
adb sideloade romofchoice.zip
Then probably need gapps
adb sideload gapps.zip
Now rebbot to ROM
These steps are to get you up and running with a custom ROM if you want stock unroofed than from fastboot lock bootloader and flash stock ROM of choice

I've had the same issue and am still having it. Your tablet must be like mine where it doesn't like the new kitkat bootloaders. No one has been able to help me so far yet either so I will watch this thread as well
you can follow the instruction in this thread. I got boot loop too. And this tool worked like a charm

I have a Google nexus i9250. I have unlocked the phone, i root it and have installed 4.3 Jelly Bean Rom. Today i tried to update to CM11 4.4 Custom rom but i have deleted everything in the phone via custom recovery. Now the phone is empty and it doesn't open. It stucks at google logo. I rebooted the phone into stock recovery mode and i tried to install again various roms via sideloader but I CANT INSTALL ANYTHING BECAUSE it says "signature verification failed".
what can i do????
Thanks!!!!!
Try entering in bootloader (vol up+down + power) and flash with fastboot a custom recovery. After that you get your adb sideload.
The command is fastboot flash recovery ā¢imagenamehereā¢.img
Dowload latest TWRP and copy it on the folder where fastboot is (usually platform-tools dir).

Hi Folks,
I just flashed TWRP 2.7.0.0.1 via TWRP Manager and now I can't enter the Recovery.
TWRP Manager showed that I'm using the htc_m8 and /dev/block/mmcblk0p43.
Booting into the Bootloader and booting the ROM (ViperOne 1.3.1) works fine.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you.
Download twrp from here:
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m8
Then using fastboot:
Fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then boot to recovery from bootloader

Thanks! Worked! :victory:
Recovery is gone after boot unlock, twrp install attempt.
I tried to instal TWRP before unlocking the bootloader, it failed so i tried uaing the official Asus unlock tool and the twrp again it still fails.
Now i cannot access recovery at all, it just reboots into fastboot. I choose recovery but dead android never shows up. Just fastboot again.
How can i flash the original recocery back?
I have tried through adb (failed) and using the microsd card (flash does not start, just reboots to fastboot) method.
Otherwise the phone works as normal.

Definitely fail unlock bootloader, splashscreen should be white after unlocked bootloader.
Use unofficiall bootloader unlock under development

After it reboots into Fastboot use your volume rocker to navigate it to Recovery. When the screen goes black, press power and Volume up and when you release volume up it will take you to stock recovery.

Along with an unlocked bootloader you Need USB debugging turned on. Then while you're in bootloader use 'fastboot flash recovery (IMG file) ' to flash your recovery

Success!
i didnt have the recovery.img file
downloaded it and flashed through ADB ( after disabling my screen lock or you get "permission denied")
i can now get back into recovery.
thanks very much. been battling with this for a week.
