you can try formatting system partition and than flash cm rom without gapps or anything else.

Help! flashing cm10

hello guys, when i did this method (flashing the rom) and worked fine but when i turned on my phone and get it into recovery mode (purple led) , Its not on CWM but in TeamWinrecovery, (i know that i have CWM installed and tried cwm recovery before any flashing) Sooo, i wipe data/ dalvik etc then installed CM10 and GAPPS, and reboot, now im stuck on the cyanogen logo, i kept on rebooting it and doing the same procedure (wipe data/dalvik, install cm10 gapps) same results. Stuck on cyanogenmod logo but the circle thing is still moving, I havent tried waiting for one hour or two on that cyanogenmod boot logo. Should i really flash any roms using CWM? how do i install CWM without the phone turning on? pls help
Update: Left it on cyanogenmod logo last night and i think my phone is now on low battery status, What should i do?

[Q] E980 Stuck in Boot Loop

I have an ATT LG Optimus G Pro. I rooted it and insalled CWM and preformed a backup with it. After that I tried flashing a port of CM 10.1 to my phone. Something went wrong and when I tried rebooting the phone it got stuck in the boot loop, all I get is the LG screen and then a blank screen and the led just changes colors. So I tried getting to the recovery, but instead I got a screen telling me if I wanted to preform a system reset, so I obliged thinking it would take me to the recovery, it didn't. My question is if I can get to the recovery, and if how? I know this might not be a real possibility. And if I can't, how do I unbrick my phone?
ps sorry for the noob question
thanks

There you go. You might well. Also whenever you install the CM10.1 port it'll take a longer time to boot up.

Can I put my phone into download mode even when it won't boot, and is there a way I can access the recovery from the boot screen?
You literally have no choice but to go to download mode. You should be able to as long as that partition wasn't forked.

I've got the same problem. Totally clean installs but upon reboot, I'm stuck at the note 2 screen. 4.2.2 ROMs boot. Probam roms mentioned having an unlocked bootloader but i thought that was a prerec to being rooted?
No problems here. One thing on 4.3 roms is the su binary needs to be updated usually. Supersu from the play store addresses this. I'm running the cm 4.3 9-1 nightly.

Clockwordmod superuser app was the key! After the first boot, I ran the app and even though it always wanted to be updated (even after it went through its process) 4.3 ROMs would reboot! I tried probam and pacrom. Each time I flashed new, I had to re update the su or else no reboot. Thanks for your help!
Stuck at cyanogenmod screen on t0ltetmo 10.2 Need help
I'm having the same problem, I had stock new 4.1.2 t0ltetmo. Rooted/TWRP recovery booted fine. Loaded RomManager booted into recovery flashed 10.2 nightly from 9/9/2013 then flashed 4.3 GAPPS, Wiped cache, now it's just sitting at the cyanogeMod screen does not boot. I've installed a lot of roms w/o issue but am a novice.
How do I get back into recovery? What is my course of action? HELP!! Thanks

[Q] get to TWRP from a wiped device

Hi All,
I tried to flash my E980 (already rooted and running Carbon ROM nightly build 10/10/2013) with the latest ROM nightly build 10/24/2013.
When in TWRP 2.5.0.0, I wiped everything except the external SD, added 10/24/2013 build image, gapps, and modem zips and hit install rom.
The flashing stopped due to error saying the MD5 signature of the build image zip is bad.
Now I am left with a device with no OS installed. When I power it on, after the initial LG logo flash, nothing happens.
Would you please tell me how to get back into the recovery mode? Thanks a lot.
Posted in Wrong section. It should be in Q&A/help.
Solution for ur issue is bad download. Re-download the ROM and flash or flash another ROM.

Try volume up + power + home key then when it starts to boot let go of power button that should get you into recovery
Sent from my Optimus G Pro using Tapatalk
On the e980 the key sequence is power off, hold volume down and power, when you see the LG logo let go of both buttons, you will get a warning saying you are about to factory wipe and reset your phone (actually boots to recovery).
FYI, I had and still have issues flashing from the 10 10 release of carbon to the 10 24 version. I'm on harmony now in the official section.

It is power, vol+ and home. Once it flashes LG and disappears just let go of the buttons. You will be in recovery. Download, to flash original tot is vol+, vol- and plug in USB.
