I like my android phones to have a password to unlock after 30 minutes. But I cannot for the life of me disable the insecure lock screen when the screen goes off. I don't want any lock screens until 30 minutes have passed! How do I disable the instant insecure lock? I am rooted, and I'll do anything to stop it.

Guess its just a glitch?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
I was able to remedy this problem tonight by editing build.prop
Change "ro.lge.capp_lockscreen" to false.
And as a bonus I disabled the home button wake.

Never really looked into this but watch your battery life. This could keep your device awake by simply waiting until the timer is up to lock the device.

Is there a way to increase the sleep time on the lock screen? It goes black in like 5 seconds. Also is there a way to add app to the circle or modify them? I can't find it anywhere.
yes there is. Settings and display.

Uh, ya, no it doesn't. It sets the screen timeout of the main screens, not the lock screen. I have that set to 1 minute, but the lock screen blacks out in 5-10 seconds.
Didn't notice a stock option for this.
Oh that. Screen and security.

I just installed aokp to my S3, loving it so far.
Is there a way of showing the lock screen slide to unlock when a security method is enabled? When there is no security enabled, I have the little lock at the bottom of the lock screen and can slide it to either open the camera, Google now, or to unlock the phone. When I activate a security method, that goes away.
Thanks
Any ideas ??

i used to use aokp (ics version) on the nexus s, and the functionality was definitely there. look somewhere in rom control?
Tried that but no luck. Will mess with it a bit more.
If anybody else knows how to get it working please chime in!

It looks like it hasn't been added since Aokp JB came out. Just going to have to wait.

If I am understanding correctly you want the Swipe option then you get the Password/Pin field instead of it asking for the Password right away when you turn on the screen? If so go to Settings>Security>With swipe lock

Yes, that's what I want. It turns out this version of aokp doesn't have that option implemented. Guess will have to wait to see if it gets added in future versions.
Thanks though !

Is there any way to change the lock screen animation?
As in, I press the power button to go to sleep for my phone and the animation looks like an old TV turning off.
It hurts my eyes :| I just want it to turn off like the iPhone.
Which ROM?
And what does the iPhone do? I know you can disable the animation but I don't think you can change it

That are crt animations if you have cyanogenmod if i remember well i think you can disable it...

I am using PA's latest version. I don't mind switching if I can disable it. My eyes hurt too much from it.

Smart Lock V1.2.4
----------------------------------------
DOWNLOAD http://db.tt/kBtgcx6N
- PIN unlock automatic now. (No longer need to tap the tic)
-Delay timer Seconds slider
- 1.2.2 bigger PIN keypad
- improved screen state detection should use less ram and cause less battery drain.
----------------------------------------
Welcome to Smart Lock... The Security of a PIN lock and convenience of swipe combined
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
>>> #1 FEATURES & QUICK START GUIDE
----------------------------------------
The App UI is VERY simple to use:
#1 Set your PIN, screen off delay & global state.
#2 Thats it! if you turn your screen on before the set delay you get normal Android lock screen. After you get Smart Lock PIN guard immediately after.
if you forget your PIN at any time simply wipe Smart Lock app data to reset to the default PIN '0000' and chose a new one next time you launch the app.
Since the min delay is 1min, you will always be able to do this after a reboot. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to use thie app in combination with a sim PIN lock to block entry upon reboot and you are secure.
The rest is so easy i wont bother insulting your intelligence explaining it.
The lock screen this app uses is independent from Android and will appear after you unlock with any Android lock method.
----------------------------------------
>>> #2 THE CONCEPT:
----------------------------------------
The idea behind Smart Lock is to combine the convenience of the Android swipe Lock screen with the security of a protected lock screen (either pattern or PIN).
This is achieved by using a secondary independent PIN guard blocking overlay which will block access to the Android UI without a successful PIN entry.
This PIN activated system guard can be set to block access to the touch screen. A user selectable delay once the screen switches off will activate it.
Combined this with a sim lock on boot, together they will protect your phone from theft or prying eyes while AT THE SAME TIME saving you from needing to enter your PIN every time you check your phone during instant message sessions or any other sort of frequent use.
The app can easily be reverted to a default PIN by wiping the app data ANY TIME. Since the min PIN activation delay is 1 minute from Screen off there is no danger of locking yourself out of your phone since a simple reboot and app data wipe will clear a forgotten or unknown PIN...
So how can this possibly be secure I hear you ask?
Well its quite simple: With a SIM PIN in place a user will need to know this to get into Andriod after a reboot. without this Smart Lock app data can't be wiped to reset the PIN...
So you have day a 15 minute delay on Smart Lock. Your phone gets stolen and likely the Smart Lock PIN has activated by the time someone tries to use it. They then reboot the phone and your SIM block PIN prevents them getting in!! Meanwhile you are enjoying the convenience of a simple swipe lock screen most of the time not to mention Android 4.2.2 lock screen widgets!

thanks, work for 4.1.2??
Yep! Should work for a broad range of devices

Hi rlorange,
Thanks for that bright idea, finally we have a way to have widgets AND a decent security on 4.2.2 !
May I ask you if you plan to add new features to your neat app, as there is some improvement I see that would make it even better
I loved this app.
Nicely designed, the Concept behind is really amazing.
I wanna contribute to this project more.
I am Dev to if your source code is on GIT then post the link.
Hope, more devs will contribute to make life easier with high security.
Note :- I am not forcing you to post the GIT or other stuff just an suggestion if you want take it else let it flow.
Waiting for it to come on PLAY STORE or SAMSUNG STORE

Thanks! V1.1 is better! I'm going to focus on improving stability and keep it simple for now. I'm still getting the monitor fail on me and not bring the PIN up occasionally. I'll tweak the task system for now

Hi rlorange,
Same as you, sometimes v1.1 got bypassed and i've to clear app settings to get it working again.
Maybe you can try to do the same thing Go Locker do ; it takes the launcher place, and then runs the original or custom launcher, that way it get automatically called anytime the phone gets unlocked.
Hello, working good so far. Any chance of having delay time of 5 seconds or so? Thanks for great app

Really... how the hell did I miss that. And to top it off 2 reviews commented that they were now gone. Duh...
I have the ATT Note 3 and had the same problem. I got the lockscreen shortcuts by turning off security and going in and enabling the shortcuts I wanted. I then turned security back on (in my case pattern lock) and the shortcuts stayed!
I unfortunately didn't have the same end results when doing that. When turning the pattern lock back on my shortcuts went away.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk 4
how are you guys getting the lock screen to show short cuts?
when i get to settings/device/lockscreen..there is no option for shortcuts
I only get the shortcuts when you don't use a lock screen password or pattern
