Is there a way to increase the sleep time on the lock screen? It goes black in like 5 seconds. Also is there a way to add app to the circle or modify them? I can't find it anywhere.
yes there is. Settings and display.

Uh, ya, no it doesn't. It sets the screen timeout of the main screens, not the lock screen. I have that set to 1 minute, but the lock screen blacks out in 5-10 seconds.
Didn't notice a stock option for this.
Oh that. Screen and security.

Anyone know how this can be changed? The motion of having to drag the wallpaper off the screen is pretty lame.
I've been searching for this.
Edit: Adding a lock pattern overrides this or you can look at getting one of the lock screens from the market.
Its the same as the infuse minus the puzzle... Which i miss
.sorta.
Use widget locker?

root will do it. I bet if we just delete their lockscreen.apk it'll default to the standard android pull-tabs.
Also, yeah, worst lockscreen EVAR. It's like they didn't even try, lol.
software can, and will, be hacked. no worries.
I personally like the lockscreen. I even had it on my epic 4g by choice.

Patience guys ... enjoy this beastly device until root comes ... then it'll be perfect ... at-least you guys got it today lol

There's one called Agile Lock that mimics the sense 3.0 lock screen pretty well, plus lets you put any widget you want on it! I've been using it since yesterday and no wake locks/force closes anything weird. I got the paid version, not sure about the free version.
But yeah, I hate the stock lock screen.

Yeah, only the paid version allows you to change the widgets but you can accumulate points on the free version to unlock the feature...at least that's how it was when I last used it

Really? I hated the fact that the pin didn't override the lock screen on my Photon.
Why would I want to worry about accidentally activating the screen (the purpose of the lock screen) when I already entered a security pin?
The lockscreen is better then the one on the 8 lock mod on the epic..

I have to agree, that ugly swiping off the wallpaper really seems like they didn't even try. The default Android lock screen is much better.
I went out and bought WidgetLocker just because it was so bad.
i just wished we could at least change the picture
i love the shortcuts for missed notifications
try:
Settings
Display
Screen Display
Lock Screen Wallpaper
Lets you choose whatever you want!

Anyone notice quite a lag between hitting power and the screen actually turning on? I just plugged the phone in, and it was MUCH faster to turn on. When I unplugged, same lag. I will test more when its fully charged.

Like the title says, how can I disable the feature that the screen turns off after a set period of time? I'm using Cm 7.1.0.1 and when I watch a football game on my phone I have to tap the screen every now and then to prevent the screen turning off, it's really annoying.
Thanks in advance
Go to your lock screen settings (in security settings) and change it to none.

I can't find it. Do you mean disabeling my lock so that i dont have to enter my unlock pattern yet?
Slight bump
App. Screen on works like a charm. I've never seen a setting that keeps your screen on,only a setting that stops the screen turning off whilst on charge, but will still go into dim mode. Settings/applications/development/stay awake.
it made sense in my head !!!

if this text has changed, then so has my rom.
I am using a LTE GN with AOKP. My question is about the lock screen settings. I looked and maybe I am missing it. But I can not see a way to stop the notification screen from coming on while on the lock screen. Is this something not supported with this ROM?

If the option is not in settings you can always use WidgetLocker for your lock screen, its infinitely customizable.

Yeah, I could do that. I purchased the app in the past and could download it again. More than likely I will just have the notification screen come down during the lock screen though. Since I don't want to use that app for that.
Thanks for the suggestion though. I forgot that application can do that.

most of the time when i press the power button to turn the screen on it takes almost 2 seconds to turn the screen on. so i was wondering what is the build.prop code (if any) to make the screen turn on immediately.
no one?
Try changing your sleep frequency or governer.

if my screen has been off for an extended amount of time (a few minutes+) then it takes a long time (and by a long time i mean not immediate which it should be) to turn on the screen. i find it very annoying. whats a governor in relation to power button/screen?

im using the juggernaut rom, but was experiencing this with the stock rom as well. no apps to change anything. its been this way since i bought it.
there has got to be a build.prop or something else to force the screen to turn on as soon as i push the button
So I'm watching a video (expanded to full screen) on the stock browser at night in a dark room when the screen times out.
I can't find any way of switching the screen timeout off, and have to resort to setting the time to maximum and having to reopen the screen and restart the video every 10 minutes.
There has to be a solution to this annoying problem? Please?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Is smart stay enabled or is it just not working on the dark room ? If smart stay is not working then you can just pull out the s pen from it's holder or hover with the s pen instead of closing the video.

Here one of them from note 2 thread..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967803
U can found more from note 1 thread..
Not saying watch video can confirm the screen burn issue..just saying maybe it can cause life span of screen burn become short..but definately amoled screen can not avoid it..

Fair enough, but there is "no issue."
Why have this phone if you don't use it? Besides, full screen is probably one way to AVOID burn in.
What are you even talking about?

Yes, this avoids the screen burn. Screen burn only happens because some of the led's are used more than others which is why some degrade faster which results in varying color contrasts. Using full screen almost all the time however, uses all of the led's, thus all of them will degrade at a slightly similar rate and the change of color contrast would not be as noticeable to the common eye.

If you mean stock internet browser it will time out don't know why I streamed hell in a cell last week had the same issue doesn't happen on any other phone I know of just this one...I had to stretch the screen so it looked full screen and it stayed on strange I know

I'm having the same problem not sure why there would be this problem considering no phone for the last 4 years have had this problem. Terrible overt sight by Google/Samsung. Really interested if some one finds the solution to this.
Use Profile Scheduler from the play store it lets you set up a profile with a setting for screen time out never option. Thats the only reason I use it. I listen to alot of music in my truck and it keeps the musoc player from going to sleep.
Screen time out issue is only when watching flash enabled videos in browser.
Reason : Flash is not supported in Jellybean officially,
So just using flashplayer.apk will not rewrite screen timeout settings in system files.
And, smart stay doesn't work in dark room with lights off.

Download "Screen on" from playstore.
Check the application ie Internet for stock browser and then check enable.
