hey guys... me and I3v5y
have been working on a ui for gaming on the HD... here is our template.... but as i do not have my HD with me nor does he... we need to find out how it works....
please post a screen shot and report problems.... the faster you do so the quicker we can get this project done....
Where are we in Development?
We have finished Ui development and are starting the game development...
*UPDATE*
New TEST VERSION
Download here: http://cid-cddbf77985693632.skydriv...A files/Programs/ManilaGames/base.Demo.02.exe
guys we need to know!!!!
does it work smooth....
almost no description
no screenshots (you're asking us to post some, yet you're the developer)
a .exe (which to my knowledge wont work on mobile phones, i dont have a WM-powered mobile phone but i've read that install files are in .cab)
6 posts makes you think you're new and therefore many ppl won't download it and trust you.
so either its a virus and the-like or its real but you provided almost nothing that makes us think its 'real'.
topic reported so mods can take a view
Edit: took a look at your other posts and it looks like you're being serious. So sorry if i interrupted your topic with my (probably) false-indication
Edit2: nvm, its real. a mod made this exe. so again im sorry for the false statement and the report
for people reporting this thread
all is good....just checked posts look here if still unsure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3114391#post3114391
there is nothing wrong or "fishy" with this thread.
thank you
thank you.... i think????
lol
so can someone give me a report on how it runs on the device???? and a screenshot?
The app runs smoothly on my HD (IT ram 1.14): see screenshot attached.
hey, apart the game: what about making it as a launcher too (as touchlaunch or M2DAppLauncher? it seems perfect! and those apps seems to be dead...
I tried your game and till now it works very well. The touchscreen reaction is very good. But on the top in the left corner of the slider is one litle blue line. I marked this with a red square on the second sreenshot.
thanks for that blackmonkey we will try to fix it but for now we need to get the actual game running
No problem...I´m waiting for more..good luck
New Demo Version check it out at the first post...
please post screenshots and tell about your experience....
ok i got demo 2 up and running,
let's say im at the home icon and want to go to stock. when i click on stock it shows the home icon. the sliding bar at the bottom wont go where my thumb is. it does follow the movement if i slide it over the screen (i hope you get what i mean)
also ermm the first time when im on a new screen it shows the icon for a very short time when i press the screen.
please post a screenshot i don't understand....
I pressed the stock button with my thumb on that pic.
oh i see...
yes at the moment it is made for sliding use only.... so you willl have to drag the slider from tab to tab.....
Maybe you will see an actual game release tommarow... nothing advanced... maybe a tick tac toe game....
but I will get the helicopter game finished
ahh cool, when i release my finger it does go to that spot so it does work like that the slider is just not sticking to my finger on the spot i press the screen. can't wait to see a game on this it runs smootly
Get read for the first actual game release tommarow!!!!!!!!
Can someone explain exactly what this is?
OK well the idea is to create games and applications that keep the manila style look....
so if you want to get to the settings portion of a game... you have the tf3d thing at the bottom of every app and game....
understand?
Ok. It wont intergrate into TF3D, it will just look like it?
first of all, fantastic work. i have a couple questions.
1, is it possible to get this to use the manila resources so whatever theme we're using is also used by the game?
2, how hard would it be to port across a few emulators into this? while things like morphgear work fine, the are hardly finger friendly. i'm thinking running game on the first tab, list of roms on the second, maybe in the style of contacts or music player so case pictures can be added. and then settings on the third tabs. that sort of thing anyway. how feasable is that?
i'm personally of the opinion that the more things that have a unified look the better so i think what you're doing is great.
many thanks
mass
I'm in a rush so please forgive me if there is already a thread about this, want to get it posted before I leave for work so I can read the replies when I get home tonight. I did a little searching and browsing of random threads but didn't see anything that applies.
I have what I believe is called the Energy ROM on an ATT Tilt 2, and I like it well enough but the most common problem I have is that in Landscape, the Action Softkey does not respond more than half the time I try to use it.
Are there any fixes or suggestions about this? Please direct me to another thread if it applies.
Thanks,
Ivica

Can someone elaborate on this? Do we already have this feature? I noticed the droid multitouch keyboard ported and when I installed it, didn't notice much of a difference

Yeah its on the evo.. go to a webpage.. put two fingers together and touch screen.. open your fingers. Zooms in on web page..
sent from my Evo
Are you talking about the keyboard? If so, then yes the stock keyboard is multitouch on 2.2 and so is the Droid X. How you can test it is press one letter then press another while holding the first an it will still register which allows you to type faster.
welll... what had caught my attention was when this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753156 popped up in my news feeder
and i saw some folks saying they used it on the evo.... so i thought it was something new
then i used it and was like whas so special? i thought we been could do this pinch and zoom and multitouch...lol
i guess its just the sounds and the color huh?
thanks for all the replies all
Hi all xda members I'm posting this in hopes to get a list of people who have the play and would like to see Onlive add a button mapping feature so that games that require r2 and l2 buttons work. I figure a get a lot of people to back me on this forward the link to the developer and low and behold games that required additional buttons would be playable assuming the developer would listen to potential customers. So post a positive affirmation of button mapping capabilities and I'll send it over to the developer.
And please feel free to post any ideas of work around for this problem I'm dying for some trine action on this play.
PS happy holidays and my love to all the hard work that goes on in this forum

If anything, we need a solution for left/right thumbstick clicks.
A guy had a conversation with an OnLive rep about the situation (that can be found here: http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?p=170555) and they said the the OnLive app for the Xplay was in it's early stages and it's possible that a solution could be found in future.
Obviously the rushed the Xplay optimization because wr kept complaining and they wanted to keep us happy.
I think a solution for left/right analog stick clicks for the Xplay would be to have them register when a person makes a double click or a hold of a button. Added onscreen controls would be better though.

In pre-ICS versions of Android, the keyboard could be opened by holding the menu button. Is there any equivalent for this functionality in ICS?
When I need the keyboard it is either there or i just tap on the place I need to enter text and it appears. Can you detail the scenario where its not appearing so I can test it and see if I can get a solution.

I am researching with HTML5 games/apps. I wanted to see if I could use the keyboard keys in a game. The game seems to by loading and running, but I can't get it started without pressing particular keys. I don't know if the keyboard would even target the game. I realize that is wouldn't be fun to play with an android keyboard. I was more interested in how the game/graphics/code ran on the android browser.
Ahh I see well this is a bit beyond me at the moment as I am just starting out in development side but I have found this http://www.androidguys.com/2009/11/12/how-to-showhide-soft-keyboard-programmatically-dev-tips-tools/
Maybe its of some use but if not your 2nd post should help some of the more experienced members help straight away.
