About Baltic Firmware 2.67 - Sony Xperia ZL

Im living in Baltics. And my standard firmware would be GEN-BAL (SI=1270-7270).
So i am interested, how could I get this firmware?
Is there any difference between my usual US firmware and other firmware?
In this forum I couldn't find such an firmware! And in google there is only 3 results about 1270-7270 (GEN BALTICS)..
- And a side question: Is there difference between Xperia ZL model firmwares?
Can i flash for example C6503 firmware to C6506 (My)? And will it make some difference?
- I live in Baltics, so I don't have LTE connection possibility. - LTE gives me nothing!
Thanks..

[Q] ROM 4.2.2 in BRAZIL

Anyone know when the 4.2.2 rom version launches for C6503 in BR?
For VIVO carrier I heard that was launch.
I'm with MEA version, updates comes faster than others.
I'm with the MEA version too, there''s no reason to wait for the "official" brazilian version, even the 4G works properly.

[Q] Want upgrade to 4.4.2

Hello.
Just bought an used Note II. It has 4.3 and I want 4.4.2. Software updates on the phone tells me 4.3 is the latest. Kies on imac is telling me the same.
Baseband version: N7100ZSENA1
Current firmware = Latest firmware = PDA: NA1, PHONE: NA1, CSC: NA1 (TGY)
It means that the update is not ready for that country? What country is NA1 (TGY)? Can I change that somehow and get the latest firmware?
Thank you in advance.
Update might not have arrived on your country. But you can get the ofiical firmware from here and instructions too. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=28988
Thank you.
I'm also interested in knowing which country is NA1 (TGY). According to http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Csc, TGY is Hong Kong. That means the phone was bought from Hong Kong?
If i flash that firmware, it will change country to India and will have OTA updates when available in India?

I would advise you flash the French Version and not the Indian version cause it carries the modem file that is tailor made for Indian users only, people who use that modem outside of India might experience sudden battery drain and weak signal (the ones that are rooted can take care of it by flashing the french modem or one of the older 4.3 modems) but you wont be and you'd have to flash French rom which carries a XX labelled modem that works for most EU countries although XF is the one for romania
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29588 - is this the right one?
Will this be enough? Or do I need to flash a different modem firmware? After this the phone will be french version instead of hong kong version?

Ya thats the latest one that released today.Download it and flash via pc odin.I am not too sure if your phone would change to "french version" look at my screenshot of attached CSC .Shows BTU (which is UK) and CSC country is UK AND IRE (cause i believe the stock rooted ROM from the developer i got turned the CSC into this i guess he's from that part of the world) and my note II is originally from Dubai and been using it in India .So you can imagine by poor phone has been touringaround the world..LOL But doesn't affect me cause i never upgrade to stock roms from sammobile i always get the stock dedoxed pre rooted ones from xda so CSC doesn't matter to me unless it messed my phone up.
Read this post below that would give you more info about how does flashing a rom from another country works

This is mine. Should I go then for french update or wait for hing kong version.
Is it ok that I'm using hong kong version in romania? France is closer
Ok, I did the firmware update from France.

Is this ok? Do I need to do anything else?
Battery life seems worse on 4.4.2. Should I flash different modem firmware?

Since you are on stock 4.4.2 you got two options, either flash a custom 4.4.2 custom ROM (dr ketan's rom is the least bloated and very close to stock)so that would give you a good estimate how your battery drain is or you flash a custom 4.3 (there are tons available out there choose the one which impresses you the most)
For now I wish to stay on stock ROM. But battery life on 4.3 was much better than on 4.4.2.

Well give it few days and see if it improves ,if it doesn't then only option is to root your phone and try custom 4.3 or 4.4 ROMS.Good luck

Why not give it a try? The 4.3 stock firmware should be on sammobile's site. Why carry another battery when you don't have to?
Assuming you upgraded (as in kept all your apps and data) from 4.3 to 4.4.2 then you should probably factory reset before judging battery life. Some apps just never play ball again after an update.
The rule typically is:
x.x.a to x.x.b - wipe only if experience issues
x.a.x to x.b.x - wipe suggested but not generally required
a.x.x to b.x.x - wipe generally required

[Q] Downloading older Firmware with Xperifirm

Hi,
I would like to go back to KK on my Z1C. I don't have the latest KK .157 Firmware anywhere. I now saw that Xperifirm does not offer to download that Version anymore for my customization. I usually use the generic DE or UK files. Is there a way to get to those old firmware files through Xperifirm or by some other way?
I could not find a generic .157 DE or UK file. I could use that as well.
Kind regards
Philipp
I wanna know this too.
Xperifirm use official Sony servers to download firmwares. But Sony remove old firmwares from its servers.
But, some old firmwares with a different customization (region/country/operator) could be downloaded with Xperifirm, just sort a list of firmwares by a version.

You are wrong, look to the attached screenshot. You should select D5503 phone model, after that press "Check all" button and then XperiFirm finish to update firmwares list you should sort the list by "Latest Release" field and you will see older firmware. For example, 14.4.A.0.157 is the Android 4.4.4 based firmware.

Yes and no. I agree you can see some 14.4.A.0157 but not for all regions, only for some strange one, which did not release update yet. If you want to have for your own region, like in my case eastern Europe I can only download the latest one
So ...?

you can find also diffrrent models as well there
good luck
@oilman67, of course you can download old formwares from different sites, but my answer was about possibility of downloading of old firmwares from official Sony servers with XperiFirm tool.
And as I say later
some old firmwares with a different customization (region/country/operator) could be downloaded with Xperifirm, just sort a list of firmwares by a version.

You could use firmwares for different countries/operators in your country without any problem, just choose your native language. For example, now I use in Russia phone from Japan with a firmware customized for Japan operator NTT DoCoMo.
On xperiablog[dot]net[slash]forum[slash]resources[slash]categories[slash]xperia-z5-compact.95[slash]
you can find some older, but not all

[Q] is there any difference !

hi
Sony T2 Ultra dual
My phone Cda is 1280-3257 android KitKat version 19.1.1.C.0.56 R3B Customized MEA
there's an update to lollipop but it's not R3B it's R5C so if i upgrade it to the new firmware 19.3.A.0.472 R5C that's can make any problem or troubleshoot like wireless dropping, battery life and facing other problem of my phone or that's will be normal for it .
yes there is difference,
which is.... kitkat and lollipop
if in Xperia Firmware Downloader you are pointing correct device model & device region,
for your device's lollipop update, then there is no harm to your device.

X5P Dual E6833: not getting latest firmware?

Recently acquired one X5P Dual from Amazon France and the model received was the E6833. (would have preferred the E6883). As I am in Europe, I don't think it's a big deal not having the additional TDD LTE bands. I currently have firmware 32.0.A.6.170. I know that there is a more recent firmware around. Why am I not getting the latest firmware. Device says my firmware is up to date!
I'm in the UK btw.
Thanks in advance.
Just had a look on XperiaFirm and that is the latest version of firmware for either of the dual variants (E6833 or E6883) with the exception of the chinese E6883 being on .209 rather than .170.
I wouldn't worry as it's likely that the minor firmware upgrade was for bug fixes relating to the non-dual variant, otherwise they would all have it. Likewise you could peruse the forum to see if any users have flashed the .200 firmware to their E6833 device to see if they have experienced any ill-effects. I can't say I've noticed any difference between .170 and .200 on my E6853 (non-dual).
Interestingly the Japanese version is running 32.0.B.0.443 / R6B, whereas the full version number for the E68xx devices is 32.0.A.6.200... Don't know what the difference is between these firmwares...

A cursory google shows that 32.0.B.xxx is still Android 5.1.1 so probably a network specific firmware for Japanese UMTS networks.
The latest firmware for the Sony z5 / z5p line should be coming out some time in February from what i've heard. They getting ready to push out the Marshmallow 6.0 soon.
Not willing to try a flash on my new z5P Dual
No long for next firmware
Thanks guys!
