Nice. Real leather, thick and tough but simple and professional looking. Seems durable enough. Soft lining. $40 at Best Buy. I like mine, I'd recommend it. Not too thin and flimsy, not too bulky.

I got the all black one, though.
Also, there is an elastic closure(similar to the DoDoCase) which is oddly not pictured. AND the stand is multi-angle. Did not include said information in my original post. It is still holding up great.
I also have this case and I'm very impressed with its quality.
Is it $40 good? Seems like a lot of $.....

Got mine at wallie world too and love it. The elastic band is very handy and seems durable. Wasn't sure about it at first but its grown on me and I have no regrets.
Sent from my Kindle Fire
I love it
It reminds me of a Moleskine notebook with the elastic strap holding it closed and with the slightly upturned corners (I'm rough on the case and take it everywhere with me). It looks/feels like a paper notebook to me. The (faux?) leather feels nice and the fabric on the inside is nice as well. It's been easy to clean. Although more than a few people have thought I was carrying a Bible.
I particularly like that there is just enough room in the spine for me to put my stylus there, too.
Totally worth the $30-40.

It has served me well, too. My only complaint is that there is no protection for the outside edge of my Kindle. I've dropped it twice and now have giant gouges on opposite corners of my Fire. Screen is fine and everything works as it should, but the ugly corner gouges annoy me to no end.
I realize none of the flip cases will offer the same protection as my Otterbox Defender but which one do yall think offers the best protection? Most I've seen seem to leave the top and bottom of the phone pretty much exposed other than possibly a teeny tiny bit on the corners. I ordered one of thsoe KLD Oscar II's off Amazon a couple weeks ago and the pics look good but it dont seem like it's really going to protect the phone very well.

Curious about this one too. I ordered the KLD Eland, so I'll leave some thoughts once it arrives.
Well finally got the KLD Oscar in the mail this evening, while it looks nice I'd prefer something with a little more protection, might save the KLD for a weekend case. Too bad that dont make something like an Otterbox flip phone, that would be perfect! Due to the fact I work in a chemical plant and ride a motorcycle I prefer something a little more rugged than most.

Writing a full review for this case because it is dead sexy, tough, and offers a lot of protection.
Unlike all the other leather or pleather flip cases I've used this one is thick and padded without feeling bulky or heavy. Plus the company will laser etch a custom message anywhere you want. It's a damn good case.
edit
if fancy boy vintage italian leather ain't yer huckleberry dem make a nice western leather case too
I ordered the Western Leather case from Tuff-Luv on Monday, I'll put up some pictures and a mini review once it arrives. For the price I hope it will be better than the HTC Double Dip Flip.
These look pretty decent here also........

Nice looking case, exactly what I'm looking for, but man that is expensive...
But yours can be the one with bad moths on it. Or don't panic in my case.
I will say that I have used many leather cases over the hers and this is the only one that feels and looks like what I expect in a luxury item in both durability and style. I can't really stress that this thing is built to last in a way that mobile baubles never are. There's one on the nexus 4 that still looks like fresh sex after a year in the hands of possibly the world's clumsiest one eyed phone geek.

Took close to three weeks because I picked white, but I finally have it.
Wireless charging works fine with both TYLT and an el-cheapo one.
The cover does have a magnet, so the screen turns on/off automatically (nice!).
Both the earpiece hole and the notification hole work as you'd expect them to.
Makes the phone look bulky, but expensive.
Is it worth the $50 I paid?
Yes.
For me at least.

I had owned a number of their products, and the quality is top notch. You can find plenty of reviews for other cases online.

I always was envious of those phones that got wrapped in Vaja leather. Those cases always look so nice, as do these.
I'm personally not a fan of this style of case, but it looks well made and like you said, expensive. I bought three cases for my N5, none of which I use, so yeah, this one case is easily worth the $50 I've spent thus far

I do love the ivolution Vaja's. My ivolution for my Sony Clie NX70 is still going strong after all these years! lol I wanted to get one of these for my N4, but they absolutely failed in communicating on the delays of my order. I do want them, but for one, they have to promise to deliver when they say. I have spoken to another member who knows the owner of Noreve personally and sent my feedback to them. I have no opinion of the product, but I am curious now based on those nice pics. Handcrafted leather is just nothing like it IMO.

I'm sure you bought this reasonable expectations, but I have to say, once you go premium leather, you just can't go back.
As with everything else, premium quality is addicting.
Man this looks nice. Wish they made one without the screen cover though. I could never stand having that big flap when using my phone.

Hello, everyone!
Recetly in my hometown's biggest electronic's store there was a new feature added which is UV printing on almost any surface you could imagine. They can print on case for a smartphone, tablet and even on a back cover of laptop.
I had my cheap 1$ S-line case from Aliexpress and I wasn't sure if the printing won't wear out quickly. One part of a case is matte but one is glossy... but I told myself "Come on, at least you will see for yourself!".
So I made my own project which was printed on Roland VersaUV LEF-12 and I'm incredibly satisfied! The printing itself is very durable, I can't scratch it (at least for now), it's really tough and it looks outstanding! I have my favourite DJ's logo on my phone's case
Do you have your own printing too?

19 PLN (Polish zloty) so it's less than 5$
Worth the price especially if you buy cheap case (mine is 1$ one)
Sent from my badass Xperia Z3 Compact!
Has anyone got the UAG Monarch case for the S8 Plus? Is it worthy of the price? Is the drop protection really that good? Any downsides? Thanks
personal reference.
Yes, It's worth it.
Very Premium looking without the bulk and over priced sticky plastic like other Brand "otter whatever b0x".
When you have it in your hand, make you feel like climb mountains or hike some trails. ^_~
Protection is real good, haven't tested myself, but I feel like it will stand up against my daily oops, but have not yet slipped.
I Have their other style case the "plasma series" for a while and them when through some beating and came out the winner.
Felt down a 6 flight of stairs like it didn't happen. dog chew on it and slid on some pebbles ground, case side with just some scuffs in the case. And this Monarch is, even more, protections, so I say Yes, drop test certified.
And "10 years warranty, what other cases have it? Not that anyone will ever need it, who uses a smartphone more than 10yrs, right.
Works with lots of case friendly GlassSP.
Downside,? to me, NON.
Because it's just what I expect my case to be like. Protection, looks, mini bulk.
But for most People who like to show off the beautiful backside of their Gorgeous phone. Then this is not the right case.
I think the time looking for cases are over for me.
UAG Monchach will be on every one of my phones.
I love it. I'm not about to test the drop protection, but I had a UAG case on my S4 and it served me quite well. Considering that a comparable otter box is 50 bucks, I felt like this was worth it.
I have had bad luck with this brand. Owned three for different tablets and all of them had faults. Not used on on a mobile though as for me they look just too industrial given the S8+ is such an elegant mobile I feel this case is just OTT. It will, or should, protect the mobile BUT many cases do and do so looking much more in line with the aesthetic of this beautiful looking mobile.
I totally accept its a preference and respect those that do use this brand. One last point they are truly hideously priced in Europe. The last UAG case I bought was for the Surface Pro 4. Cost me 70€! Developed a fault so went back for a full refund. I understand the case for the S8+ is 50€!

You say industrial, I say rugged. I've always liked the look of these cases. Imo it turns an elegant phone into a rugged phone when needed. There aren't very phone cases that are this minimal but still leaves your phone feeling protected.
Thanks for the replies! Yes they are £50 in the UK which is about 59 euros. Everything is really expensive here, now. Just need to find the Monarch in stock now.
Ever since having phones that UAG didn't support I started using cases from Supcase and have never went back to UAG's overpriced cases. They literally use the same materials and the protection is equal, but at 1/5th the price and fast shipping through Amazon. I also think their cases look better IMO. Save your money and try out a Supcase and if you don't like it send it back.

I've got some protectors that will do the job for now. They are very thin and quite soft TPU, not the most protective but they can be trimmed if needed so are ok with cases :good:

Same here. After using UAG and Otter, the Supcase Unicorn Beetle is my goto now. I mean a 10yr warranty is great but whose going to have the same mobile in 10yrs? I tried the Spigen Tough Armor and it didnt feel like it held the phone well, and didnt give enough lift to the phone screen off my desktop to make me comfortable. The Supcase is well worth the price so far. Considering its $18 US, with the belt clip. Its survived 2 falls so far no damage :good:
