Italian Job JB only contains SYSTEM and HIDDEN (preload), 1-file ROMs should work (or you can load a Cyanogenmod zip over it...)

Don't know. My advice is to flash with pit, just to be sure.

Did you "wipe data/factory reset" in CWM before installing the zips?

Easy way out:
01: Remove battery
02: Replace battery
03: press: volume - and menu key and then power on
04: Remove fingers
05: Wait till device booted to recovery.
06: Wipe all / factory reset
07: confirm
08: advanced
09: wipe dalvik cache
10: confirm
11: reboot SYSTEM now
12: wait +HF
13: if not working complain

Well, the button combo does ODIN MODE, `adb reboot download` or 4-way reboot goes to download (same thing but with invisible flash counter), while usb jig gives FACTORY MODE (flash counter visible, can't cancel with power button or by removing battery)...
3 ways to do the same thing and they couldn't implement fastboot??

When you push a kernel, you have a preinstalled recovery on your phone.

Idk what that means, but I think you'd like to backup your apps.
Look in the market for Titanium Backup.

[MOD] Super Wipe for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505

Hello friends,
This mod is highly recommended when you switch roms/versions.
When you install a rom, all junk such as temp files, useless items, are located on the internal storage.
So what exactly this mod does?
It wipes your Cache partition
It wipes your System partition
It wipes your Data partition - Data partition includes your internal storage!(internel storage is located in data/media/)
Click to collapse
Important notes:
Make sure you have backuped your images, songs, etc. from your internal storage becuase it will be deleted!
Make sure you have external SD card with the rom you wish to install because you will have nothing installed on your device.
Click to collapse
I'm not responsible for any damage caused by using this mod.
This is for I9505 Only!!!!!!!
So, how do I install it?
Backup everything you want to your computer.
Copy to your External SD Card the following items:
- ROM
- Super WIpe Script
Reboot into recovery
Install the script.
After it finishes, it will reboot your device into recovery again. If not and it stucks on Samsung logo, reboot to recovery and reflash the script.
Install your ROM

One thing that doesn't happen on my phone when I use this is that it won't reboot to recovery. It stops at the message:
Now you can flash PhoeniX ROM
Device will reboot in recovery mode

and that's it, no reboot. It doesn't allow me to do anything else in recovery mode, so I have to manually power off and reboot.
Any suggestions. I am using the latest version of Philz touchwiz & CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 as my custom recovery.

No recoveries found for my device?

I am trying to root my note 3 but I am having nothing but problems. I factory reset my phone a couple times no just because I want to start from fresh. I even flashed a stock rom on it to make it new out of box.
So what I have done is.
1. root my phone from odin on my computer
2. download goomanager from play store
3. give it super user access.
4. Press the menu button and press "install openrecoveryscript"
5. Press "Yes"
6. Then I get a message saying "No recoveries found for your device"
Now I am stuck and have no idea what to do. I have a tmobile note 3

what exactly is the error? If you download the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.7-hltetmo.img.tar and put it in the AP or PDA slot in odin, it should work. If it still does not work, I recommend asking in the official thread here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467001
