Looking for someone to test NFC App

I'm looking for someone with an NFC enabled SGS II to verify things work as expected in an non AOSP environment.
Take a look here for the app (NFC Task Launcher) and some videos on what it does / how it works. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=980741
If someone is willing to test I can send you a few NFC tags in the mail - I just ask that you let me know the results and if any errors creep up shoot me a logcat and be willing to test updates. I'd like to address any potential issues before I get market reports about them

Yeah - that's it. If there are any errors I'd ask you send a logcat / description so that I can get them sorted out (there is a version in the Market as well). I'll PM you.

Sell my S3 and Get Note 2?

Will I sell my S3 for Note 2? what do you think guys?

Depends on what you want. Before making any decisions go try one at the store. If you like it, get it. I do know that samsung doesn't release the exynos source very quickly which is frustrating for development. That alone has scared me off.

You'd better wait a little.
Anyway looked at it and it seems to work great....
Just a little big but the pen is great.
I am thinking about it getting it next time as i have another upgrade coming

Can we just chat instead of bashing other people. This is what my friend told me about XDA. I'm planning to release my ROM to the public but people like you make me think twice before sharing my hard work!

It is a lame thread. What are we going by? What do you need your phone for, and what do you want your phone to do that the s3 can't do? You asking a bunch of random people in the s3 forums isn't going to get you far. Ask in the note 2 forum is a little more helpful probably. Either way stupid thread overall. Like others stated go play with it, if it is for you then go for it if not then pk. Either way it all ends with...

The s3 got sharper screen. Go compare them at the store and u will understand what i am talking about. I want to know where are those losers who used to bring up "facts" about how awesome the note 2 screen would be

Oh i thought you were gonna ask us to decide for you what phone you should get and since you talk about hard work then first learn how to use the search button and read what people have responded to threads asking the same stuff you are asking

As long as people learn how to just chill. Even the other known developer here are being affected by the rude comment. As far as know XDA community is all about sharing of ideas, knowledge and place where you can meet friends. Not bashing other people.

It's a known thing, people are too lazy to search and want info spoon fed to them. IF they search and in their thread that they start show they've searched they usually get help, if no one does I will. I hate to help these days cause while I give constructive criticism, the OP still either ignores or takes it as "bashing" or they simply don't acknowledge anything and the thread dies with the OP not responding if it worked for them, resulting in a useless thread, once again.

If the ROM isn't a breed between SuperNexus' clean/nice battery life feel and ParanoidAndroid's hybrid and customization. Not interested. It'll be a normal sort of themed CM10 ROM.
You know what there isn't enough of AOKP ROMS.

We have the devices I just don't have a computer so I been using a file manager to build the rom. But that can only take me but so far. I can't decompive or edit certain files which is a hassle cause I gitta guide my partner in adding my load of the work. I can make kernels or even aosp roms with out it. Im building a rom on the phone but if u ran V3 of the upcoming update you couldn't tell cause its so fast. Imagine what I could do if I had what I need.

Please forgive my ignorance, but who these days doesn't have a computer? And how can someone who is developer don't have a computer? Hell, I have an old XP machine that I can install Ubuntu on, and be up and running like yesterday.

I had a computer a mac book pro. But it was stolen. Id be more then hapoy to use an old machine Im not high maintenance like that. Onky thing is compiling aosp roms would be next to impossible because 512mb ram and the cpu they have. Would have to sit and compile for more the 3days. I tested on my old dell. You guys aren't required to support. It would however help everyone here out. Unless no one wants miui or aosp roms and kernels.

I second that... this "virus" guy seems kinda strange.. went in ranting on jedi x yesterday and now hes asking for 500$ to buy a computer for himself...? If he says that he "changed" his name and all then why doesnt he tell us his old name. If this dudes legit ill contribute... until we figure this out id say this is a scam... oh and why is a laptop needed?

I was only trying to help that guy. A few of the features of his rom isn't working like he advertise and I was telling him what files he was missing. And if I disclose who I was myself and a few others would be out of a job. You don't have to donate its not that serious.

I third it and feel this thread should be stricken immediately... it's a joke... I've recently donated to 2 developers to buy Galaxy Note II's and that's because their recognized developers that do amazing work... hell ptmr3 I donated to him and I can't even use his rom as I don't have the same version! But he's done such amazing work and supported all his roms without prejudiced... if you've been doing "this for a long time long b4 android" you should have gear... donating for a device is one thing... a laptop is ridiculous... ask Santa for a retirement gift... 8)

Right so that makes it right because ptr whoever had one. I do t think our forums should be turned into a funding apparatus for certain people to buy stuff in fact im going to start a thread to buy me a new computer and say im developing something. It just doesnt feel right
