Hi,
I just bought used sgh-i747 for parts (needed the motherboard) and I have problem.
at the first few hours the wifi worked fine, but then it turned off and refuse to turn back on (stuck on "turnung on...")
I didn't check the BT before that problem occured, but now it has the same issue.
can anyone tell me what can it be?
(I still have the original at&t ROM that came with the device)
thanks.

Hi
Started a new thread since the otherone claims it's solved in topic titel, but it's not.
The issue is with WiFi IP-adress malfunction. My device is not rooted (runs stock OS), and worked fine until today. I have used the app "wardrive" for mapping AP:s. I closed down the app and returned home.
Up on arrival at home, the phone connects to my neighbours W-lan but not my own, nor my friends. It only says "unsuccessful" and retries continuously. The W-lan in question works flawlessly with ordinary computers and my old Touch Pro.
So the supposed solution is to add static IP:s witch works fine on static ISP:s however this is not an option for me, nor is an acceptable solution for a device like ours.
I have tried to "forget" the AP:s in question but no luck. Also rebooted the phone, no luck.
I have contacted HTC in Sweden but wont probably have a reply until next week (my estimate). Is there any knowledge about this? I fail to find anything helpful/useful.
UPDATE: Solved via WiFi Fixer (its on the Market)!

Have you tried a Device reset? If in doubt restore back to stock os.
Try changing to a different Wi-Fi frequency channel and see if that helps.

I had this problem, The only way I could solve it was to re-name my wi-fi to something else, then my phone connected no problem again, of course I had to re-connect everything else
Solved via the app "WiFi Fixer"
Thanks for all suggestions, however I got a solution that do not involve resetting the device nor anything painful.
I installed an APP from the market "WiFi Fixer" and after installation I started the device's W-lan that could connect without hassle. I'm not sure on what that went wrong, but I'm happy that I did not need to reset the frakking device.
Thanks everyone
Hi guys.
Just this morning my phone turned itself off sporadically and from that point onwards my wifi, cellular network and bluetooth haven't been working at all. I was using HaWKiSH extreme 4.1.1 and didn't have a problem with the rom the 3 months prior to this happening.
So far I've:
Installed stock rom/kernel (3.0.0 to 4.1.2)
Installed custom roms/kernels (closest to stock that i could find)
Reverted to stock bootloader/modem
Re-installed CWM loader and I'm stumped.
I'm from Australia and i purchased my handset from mobicity which likely came from Hong Kong if it's of any importance.
Anyone who offers advice or solves my problem will get a .5 bitcoin reward!
Thanks.
Further details:
I've been playing with the phone with the covers/screws off and noticed it might be the antenna causing the issues however unlikely in my opinion since wifi seems to be bricked whilst the cellular network fades in and out. I'm going to take it to a phone repair shop and see what they say for anyone else who might be experiencing similar issues.
Looks like You phone's EFS partition get currupted as Wifi, cell network and bluetooth not working. You phone's IMEI may also get changed.
It happens because of downgrade of ROM or modem.
There are may threads about it, just check out.

Hey all. I need some advice. This morning my G3 (D850) dropped WiFi connection for no reason. It says the signal is good but the network info says saved, secured. It will attempt to connect over and over again and if it does connect the signal is weak as can be and it drops the connection within 2 seconds. My coworker has a G3 also and is connected to the same work network I am. His connection says excellent where as mine said good. His device connects just fine with full bars. I'm baffled. I've already tried manually selecting 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz instead of auto select and that didn't help at all. I've tried manually turning off WiFi and turning it back on. I've tried turning airplane mode on and then off to refresh the connection and that didn't help. I've done a battery pull as someone in one of the android authority forums suggested that (apparently I am not the only one having this issue.), didn't work. I've unchecked WiFi optimization - no dice. There was another post on a different forum here on XDA that said turning off WiFi and then deleting the WiFi config folder located in data/etc/wifi and then rebooting fixed the issue for them so I tried that. After reboot when I tried to turn on WiFi my G3 rebooted itself. Does it everytime. SO, I had to restore to a nandroid backup (btw I'm on rooted stock 10f) to get the phone to stop hating my WiFi toggle attempts. Last ditch effort I did a factory reset hoping for an easy fix... Nope. I don't know what else to try. It was fine yesterday all day. This morning it was perfectly fine and then randomly started having this issue. I haven't altered any system files whatsoever. I really don't want to send my device to LG for warranty replacement so I'm hoping someone can help me out that may have had this issue and resolved it. The only difference between my device and my coworkers device is he is still on 10d and I am on 10f. That could be the issue I guess but that doesn't really explain why my device has been perfectly fine until this morning and I've been on rooted 10f for weeks. I am planning on flashing back to straight bone factory stock 10d when I get home here in a few hours from work but Idk if that will help or not. Judging from the amount of google search results of "LG G3 WiFi connection problems" this seems to be an issue for several people. I won't know if it's on the software side or hardware side until I get home but in the meantime has anyone had these issues at all? People have had success in changing to Static IP but I would have to do that for every connection I attempt to connect to and that's a pain in the a$$. Also, that does nothing to identify the root cause of the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

Thanks for the reply. So it turned out my phone just randomly decided it doesn't like my work network anymore. Idk why lol. I got home and it hooked right into WiFi. Gf's WiFi and open networks as well. I call shenanigans. I went ahead and flashed back to 10d anyway though.

I am having the same issue! But it is happening in other networks too...sometimes I get the phone to connect but it only works for a while and when I check the networks it only says Saved, even if I try to connect again
Having the same issue, whether at work or home, my wifi has become near useless. I've even gone as far as trying a different ROM. Didn't work.
Same thing here
I also have tried factory reset, installed a new ROM, changed settings in my router... but the problem remains I don't know what to do anymore, I use wifi a lot!! I searched through other topics but no one seem to know how to solve it. Unfortunately my warranty already expired, I took my phone to some technicians but honestly it didn't help at all...they all said it was a software bug and I should wait for an update but if it was just that a new ROM would fix it,right?
I am not very familiar with phone hardware but I assume that if it was a hardware problem I wouldn't be able to turn it on or connect to any network, right?? (any experts here???)
Any solution is welcomed.
anyone please?? :crying:
P.S : I tried a new baseband, new kernel and new ROMs. So far, nothing changed.
I can connect sometimes but get kicked out within minutes. At other times I only get the saved, secured message.
This is happening in every network
I got the 5.1 OTA on my nexus 7 and a few days later I was trying to use it and wifi wasn't working. I disconnected and reconnected and it still wasn't working. I checked my phone (on the same wifi network) and it worked fine, so I power cycled the nexus 7 and wifi worked perfectly once it came back. Has anyone else seen this sort of problem (so far it is just the one time)?

Need more info....download samsung phone info and post a screenshot of the firmware tab. If your bootlader and baseband dont match, theres your problem. If they do, try reflashing stock (twice) then doing a tactory reset from the stock recovery right after. If after that the issue is still present....probably something else.....mabey hardware related. Good luckl
Do you use bluetooth? I had a very similar problem and figured out that the only time I had call audio was when I was using a bluetooth headset or the bluetooth in my car. I don't know what sets it off but I've done some searching on this problem and it appears to be common among GSM GS4 owners, and even doing stuff like a complete reset doesn't fix it.
The one fix that I did find, that helped some people, was to go into Google Now and disable "Okay Google" detection from any screen. Several people found that that worked. But I didn't have that feature enabled anyway so it didn't apply.
I don't know if the same problem occurs with CDMA GS4s; my wife has a Sprint GS4 and doesn't have the problem but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I think it was just AT&T and T-Mobile GS4 owners who reported this.

I don't have Bluetooth, I've tried it with a wired headset and even that didn't work, but what's so puzzling about this is that my calling works fine with Facebook messenger calling feature, hangouts and things like that

Edit:
Nevermind. It worked twice then I tried calling a different phone and it broke again. I will keep searching and update.
Original:
I have had this issue intermittently for the past year. It was fixed for about 6 months then two weeks ago started occurring again. Today I flashed a new Rom (PacMan) and the M919UVUFOK3_M919TMBFOK3_TMB firmware. That did not fix it. I was connecting to a 5Ghz WiFi so on a whim I forgot that network and made a call without WiFi enabled. Call worked!
So I connected to my 2.4Ghz WiFi and it is working again. I would try turning off WiFi and see if your calls go through if so it could be 5Ghz or the router...maybe a forget network / reconnect to network will fix it consistently.
Hope this helps you and if anything new comes up I will let you know.
So an update. I finally just gave up on it. My wife had an old phone I remembered (from 2 - 3 years ago) that was ran over and the digitizer broke. I just took her guts and put it in my phone and now it magically works. Hopefully it stays that way.
Should have done this years ago as my phone would no longer charge with the USB Cable nor was my SD Card accessible. Now it is all functioning right again.

So after flashing stock NB4 twice.....and factory resetting after from stock recovery, your still not getting call audio?.....doesnt make sense....try again and make sure the bootloader and baseband match.....and dont reboot into download from the OS.
For anyone having issues with no call audio through cell service but for some reason it works through data calls through whats app or facebook messenger, etc ,i have been having the same problem for awhile now. I believe i have traced it to be a hardware issue with the middle frame, when looking at the phone with the battery cover open on the top right over by where there are two markings R1 and L1. There is a module there labeled J-AT TMGA 7-3. When i was having issues i noticed that if i put slight pressure on that module my audio would fade back in on the call but if i put too much pressure it goes away again. If it is a hardware connectivity issue it would explain why slunked was able to get his phone working again by changing the guts in the unit. Im currently waiting for a middle frame and a blue cable for the antenna to confirm if this is indeed the issue.
