Hi, i love my HOX. Its snappy and very smooth.
But there is one important problem.
My battery runs out quickly. For example, i was playing dead trigger 2 for 1 minute, got a notification and checked my battery. It went down from 69 to 63.
I turned off my phone at 8%, when i booted it again it was 13%.
How is this possible.

hmmm! remove bloatware apps and battery draining apps like FB etc
Remove fb and get an app called Juice Defender or its Ultimate version. I suggest it because I use it and it will really help you control excess power usage. Its a descent app that gets the job done. If you gave a hard time remembering to turn off WiFi or data then I suggest it because it can automatically do it for you. I hope this helps. Give it a try.

Whenever this happens to me I just start from scratch. Back up any of the stuff I really want to keep (pictures, and themes usually) and then do a factory reset/full wipe, battery stats and cache etc. I then reinstall the rom, or install a different one.
This has always fixed it for me, infact it has fixed most problems for me. Overheating and lag as well as battery drain!

Task manager is what you need. I know it was discussed many times and classified as redundant, but I had same issue like you. Fully charged battery was dropping faster than petrol from my bmw 540i. Within 4 hours down to 54%. Now, installed Clean Master from play store, and using built in task killer and can tell you its a HUGE improvement. With this app now battery show 82% in same period with same settings. Try it out and you'll see...

Hi,
My battery drains (very) fast (in my opinion).
My phone was fully loaded and 'used' it for 18h and it went from 100% to 9%
I didnt used my phone that much. I didnt played any game, i only used chrome and send text message.
My WiFi, mobile internet and auto sync is always on.
I used task manager sometimes, but it didnt helped i think.
So, is this normal battery drain or not?
My current rom is SkyDragon, but i've already tried other roms with same result.
If you have better battery please say what rom, kernel, mods, radio, etc.. you used please!
Thanks in advance!

18 hours with W-Fi, 3G and auto-sync active is actually pretty good. There is wild variability in HOX battery life, you wouldn't believe it.
18 hours is a decent figure. Refer to this thread for a better understanding...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096459

@ 48c the battery is classed as "over heated" though the battery will be fine up to around 60c
as for battery drain first task killers are a no no they always use more power than they save.
have you tried one of the custom kernels? i'm currently on XM's kernel and get around 3 hours screen time on CM 10.1.2.
check out this it is a great guide for saving battery or gaming and undervolting/underclock.

Here is the script I'm currently using.

I think that's within usual standards of our Sense 5.
but if you are really complaining about it
1-use system wake detector from play store and see whats wasting your battery
or
2- try factory reset your device
I did a factory reset, charged to 100% and left my phone for a night to see wakelocks.
