I just got the Rox CyanogenMod 10.1 and as I was booting it I realised that there is no music.
Is there any way to add boot music to it?
BTW, it drains like 6-7% of my battery when booting, is it normal?
Why there should be music cm bootanimation does not has sound.

I just asked; I mean, every stock ROM has its own boot busic, I was just wondering if there could be a way to put some music to it
Anyway, any answer to the battery issue?

Hm, I thought I already replied to this exact same post...
1: Cyanogenmod doesn't support boot sounds, you might be able to autostart a command line sound player but I've never tried this (one of the reasons I prefer stock-based ROMs)
2: Not normal at all, but could be any mix of software and hardware problems...

Thank you very much, I'd tell the developer but I've no way to do it, as I can't post in dev threads.
Is there any way to fix this?

Hi all, I have recently installed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113070 but I don't have the screenlock. I mean, instead of the screenlock I have a blank page and when I click the central button my Desire wakes up. If I try to change lockscreen on settings I get an unexpected interruption on processocom.htc.RosieUtility seems like that the lockscreen was not flashed, still, I did it 3 times without errors.
How can I fix this? Is pretty bad without a lockscreen. :X
Thanks in advance.
Bump! Please guys I need help. :X
Ok at your PC open the zip-file of your ROM and navigate to /system/apps.
Since this ROM has a Sense 3.0 Lockscreen, you should find a htclockscreen.apk and htclockscreen.odex in this folder. If you haven't one of this files this would answer your problem.
Because I don't know this ROM I can't give you a better advice but I will get a closer look on it when I returned home.

Has anybody used the ROM Toolbox pro to download and change boot animations? I was wondering if it works okay or if there are issues with the note 2. If there aren't any issues then I may try some of the animations it has listed. There are some cool ones their server.

I've been trying to get the ROM Toolbox pro to work for changing my boot animation but it doesn't seem to work as of yet. It says it installs fine but when I reboot it's still got AT&T's boot animation.

Hi Truth,
I haven't tried using unsecured boot.img yet. I'm a noob who just switched from the iPhone over to Droid. Loving it and SO glad I finally dumped that thing, but it's still all new to me. I saw the post from scrosler about this but have not gotten the guts to try this out just yet. Thank you for the info
ROM toolbox was acting weird saying I needed ROM manager to install. It never said that before. Anyways I downloaded some of these and flashed them in recovery. http://droidmodderx.com/galaxynexus/how-to-install-100s-of-bootanimations-for-your-galaxy-nexus
I'm on the unlocked boot.img

I used ROM ToolBox Lite to install a bootanimation and I can't find it to remove it and it's the wrong size and not in the usual /system/media/ "bootanimation.zip".
Does anyone know where else they hide? I don't want to go through every folder one by one. Using Android 4.0.3.

Based on: This thread.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screenshots:
Video from original thread, so not on Xperia S but Galaxy Nexus.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tested working on FXP145 and newer. Older should probably work too, but I'm not sure about that. (CM10 and Xperia S, of course)
Please report if it works and any bug you run in to! And you might want to backup the files modded by this mod (services.jar, framework-res.apk, framework2.jar, framework.jar and android.policy.jar which are all in the system/framework/ folder) in case you want to get back to the original lockscreen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download:
Here.
Warning! Somebody reported to me the mod isn't working properly on FXP149. Somebody else reported it working though, so I guess it should be fine. You probably want to backup your files for the sake of safety though.
Install instructions:
1. Save the zip to your phone's memory.
2. Reboot into recovery.
3. Go to "Install from zip" -> "Install from sdcard" and select the zip file.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
5 . Reboot device and enjoy!

The framework is different. Give him the PA 2.55 framework-res.apk (and maybe a few other files, I don't remember what is used) so he can apply over it.
I am just waiting for FXP to fix the problems on their kernel which was causing problems on dual boot to update my PA to the next version, so consider it, @OP, a request for the future.

Yes I know about that first one, but as you can see in the video, it's in the original mod too. So I don't think I can do anything about it. Will look into the source though.
That second thing looks interesting, because here it shows up every time, even though sometimes barely visible. Are you sure it really isn't there sometimes?

Sadly enough that won't work, because the patch (from the original mod) isn't done to the compiled (framework-res.apk, framework.jar etc...) files, but to the source code. Then I compile it and pick out the files needed, pack them up in a zip file, and deliver them to you .

Yeah I was already thinking about that, but I don't know for sure if it will work. Since this patch is made for CM10, I think it might break some things specific to PA. I'll download the PA source and try it out when I have some spare time

Because it's made for CM10 my friend but still thanks for trying because I now know I'll have to build a special one for PA and AOKP
Btw, a small status update: I've ran out of disk space on my wubi install so I'm waiting on my NAS to come, which should arrive somewhere next week. Then I can move all my media (movies, music etc...) to the NAS, and resize my wubi disk to a lot bigger one Then the sources I was downloading can continue
Perfect in fxp 147

In some cases you have flashable zips, in others you have to move the file to system/media and change permissions. just find a flashable boot animation, back up system (optional) and flash in recovery and bam! I actually just flashed a new boot anim not even an hour ago.

Hi,
I have an issue, while I'm playing music (Soundcloud, Deezer...) and I turn screen off it changes the music (for deezer) and it goes back to the beginning of the track (for soundcloud). This is not a bug in the app because it works well on my S4 (for both app). I tried to factory reset, change rom, kernel I still have the issue.
Any idea?
Thanks
