Hey all.. I've been through a day's worth of attempted troubleshooting but I haven't had any luck. In the "Backup & settings" menu, under "Backup account," it's saying "No account is currently storing backed up data." Here's a screenshot:

Long story short, it doesn't seem as though Android is detecting the Google Backup Transport. The PA GApps package contains the GoogleBackupTransport.apk file, but I've also tried one from the Nexus 5 factory image (though I believe they're the same file).
In ADB, I ran the following command:
Code:
bmgr list transports
It returned the following:
Code:
android/com.android.internal.backup.LocalTransport
On a functional installation (My Galaxy Tab 8.9 running CyanogenMod 10.2 -- Android 4.3), it returns the following:
Code:
* com.google.android.backup/.BackupTransportService
android/com.android.internal.backup.LocalTransport
As you can see, Google's transport doesn't seem to be showing up as expected on Android 4.4 (CyanogenMod 11) with the PA GApps package. Watching logcat, I see that BackupManagerService finds 1 transport (.LocalTransport) on boot, so it's as though Google's is not even being detected.
My current setup is fitsnugly's nightly of CyanogenMod 11 and the latest PA 4.4 GApps (full, 2013-11-19). I've also tried with other GApps packages and other CM11 / AOSP builds with no success. I've tried both clean flashing and dirty flashing as well. Has anybody had any success with Google Backup / Restore while using a third party GApps package on CM11 (or any 4.4 ROM)? Alternatively, I'd appreciate any pointers related to where else to look or how to troubleshoot this, as I am not too familiar with this aspect of Android. I'm curious as to whether this is an issue with CyanogenMod 11, the PA GApps package, or [my] user error.
Thanks in advance!

The service is eather omitted ( not likely imo) or just not sett during the build. If not misstaken the service was active in CM11 20131117 build.
Had same issue on avatarrom.

I am at Motorola Razr. I have CM11 build and SlimKat based on CM11.
CM11 has a problem "no account" but SlimKat works ok!
I have only 2 zips with binaries and compare them. I could not find how to fix in CM11:
May be somebody can?:
http://androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/omap4/cm-11-20131126-UNOFFICIAL-umts_spyder.zip
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0zHKdKgMjLeaDN1MEt0WTd2MXM/edit?usp=sharing
I checked: GAPPS is not a reason.
Same gapps on CM11 does not help, and other gapps at SlimKat does not brake it.
I asked @temasek.
he is one of developers for 4.4.
He said the problem in rom sources.
Here is his fix for his rom:
https://github.com/temasek/android_frameworks_base/commit/88473e762bb69e9be5c68439698656b5d9a72b3f
Other rom developers must make similar fix.

Well, a solution for CM11 (temasek's upstream) would be nice.
A flashable one, of course.

WOW You've been busy. lol
Thanks for all the effort you have put in.
As already stated: wow! You're on a roll! Thanks a lot for sharing everything with the community.
Can we hope for an Everest version of this as well?

I bet you are having longer new year holiday for this Waiting for the Everest as well
For the user, what is the difference of KitKat Omni and CM in this device?

Really eager to try this on my Everest. As asked above, difference of user experience between CM and Omni?

sadly, it isn't updating its "FAILING" error executing updater binary, ooops I think it bricked
Try redownloading the rom.
There was an error on the server which caused all files downloaded earlier today to be invalid.
And the md5sum is also invalid, so dont copy it to your device.
Which gapps do i need to download by the way?
I've managed to successfully install the ROM and have found the following issues -
Not sure what version of gapps to install as there are no links. Tried downloading gapps-kk-20131208.zip from cyanogen but get the following error.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20131208.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20131208.zip
Updating partition details...
Messaging - Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped
Camera - Unfortunately, Camera has stopped
Flash content - no video, audio only
Also, in the developer options the lowest Animation scale duration is .5x (not .25x)
Great to see some fine development, keep up the good work.
Also like to add to the above that the font inside the folders are cut off.
Font for the battery percentage inside the circle also not centred.
Thanks for your great work. My Xoom feels faster than ever in everyday use.
Edit:
Just installed nova and everything working fine minus camera crashing.
CM11 for the xoom is awesome news!!! I just installed todays (wingray) and as mentioned the camera isn't working. Also, where is "mmersive mode?" Any idea why on the omni rom with immersive mode is enabled, homescreen scrolling is completely lag free?
Again, thanks for continuing to take the time and support this device. I just came from stock 4.1.2, tried cm10.1 but it hung up too much. CM11 is ridiculously fast!

both PA and banks core gapps work fine
Sent from my Nexus 5
Just installed the latest version (cm-11-20140104-UNOFFICIAL-1537+0100-wingray). Camera and messaging issues now fixed :good: Also installed pa gapps and the apps seem to be running fine (gmail, play store, voice search and youtube).
The only other thing to note is that when scrolling from one home screen to another you are left with a white transparent background. Not sure if this launcher related or something else.
Great ROM for such an early build.
Edit:
Forgot to mention that flash content from bbc.co.uk is still audio only.
Amazing !
Better compatibilty than OMNIROM.
More fluidity, faster boot and now, games from King.com work fine.
Thanks very much.
Thank you for CM11, but no advantages (only double-tap to sleep) to Omni-Rom, but same disadvantages:
- TB has problems with superuser (can't delete sams apps)
- fc with toogles
- start in recovery?
- Omni feels smoother
- no expanded mod
I got the updated rom in, successful, but Gapps =kk-20131119 failed, is there a link for PA or Banks?

Official builds have been bumped up to cm-13.0. A cm-12.1 snapshot is available on get.cm.
thanks much. going to wait for the august patches to get merged in before moving over from your previous unofficial build.
error (failed) flashing cm13
My Nexus (maguro) was bricked (my own fault).
I put back the original android 4.3 with fastboot. That went well. Now I want to put it cm13. It fails. Flashing with recovery ter 8.7.0 failed, also "fastboot -w update ....zip" went wrong "cannot load ...zip". Nexus is rooted.
Then I tried to flash a different zip namely Euphoria 5.1 for maguro. I used to flash the recovery. That went okay. But I prefer CyanogenMod.
So now I real want to flash the latest cm13, but I can not. I get a failed.
Also fastboot -w update "cm13....zip" does not work.
What am I doing wrong?

Yes, that is for maguro. This is the toro thread, though. The maguro thread is here.
My first guess is that your recovery is too old to flash cm13.0 Try this build of TWRP.

I am having occasional WiFi drops. Always happens with screen off. Wake up the screen and WiFi is off and no data. I read recently of a similar problem on the Galaxy Note Pro forum and some believe it to be a CM glitch.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=68754215
Anybody else having this problem?
My wifi does drop very frequently, even during use. In-fact I really only notice it while using the phone. Interestingly for me, I don't think it's a ROM specific issue but can't really confirm it. Even more odd is that I NEVER drop when connected to an iPhone hot spot, it's only when connecting to actual wifi routers. I thought it might be band based but I struggle with both 2.4 and 5ghz. I just kind of have learned to live with it at this point; spent way too many hours trying to resolve.
Everytime I attempt to flash this with the nano gapps, I get an error 70 stating that there is not enough available space on the system partition. I have wiped system with each flash and wiped dalvik/cache between rom and Gapps. Is there a workaround for this or am I doing something wrong? Its been quite a while since I've flashed anything to this phone, so I'm a bit rusty.
Thanks!

Things keep growing and nano gapps no longer fit either. You need to use the pico gapps. I corrected the instructions in the OP.
Thank you.
If any users on Page Plus (and maybe Straight Talk) have lost mobile data, here is a flashable zip that should fix it. Do not flash this if you're on Verizon, and do not flash it if your data is currently working. This fix should work on pretty much any ROM KitKat or newer.
Page Plus has made some changes to their APNs and it breaks data for us. Stock ROMs should be able to load the updated settings themselves, but that doesn't seem to work for this ROM. It's a minor change really; the APN needs to change from VZWINTERNET to TRACFONE.VZWENTP for data to work.

There is a note on the very first page of this thread (and in the CM wiki) that the NANO GApps (especially the Open sort) may well be too big - heed it! I used the pico Open GApps without trouble on my own GNex (inherited from my mom as she moved to a Galaxy J3; I'm taking the GNex to Tracfone once I get a SIM kit - replacing an existing Tracfone feature phone). In a word - smirk, smirk, smirk....
will there be no further development on this in 2017?

Unofficial LineageOS ROM for Nexus 10 (manta)
This ROM is built from official sources of LineageOS. I just compiled the ROM, no development on my side!
Since there is no LineageOS for the Nexus 10 yet, I decided to share my builds until there are official builds.
I'm planning to update it on a monthly basis.
Built from LineageOS github repo.
How to install:
Enter recovery mode
Factory reset
Flash below ROM
Optionally flash Gapps
Optionally flash Magisk
Reboot
Enjoy
Root is not included in LineageOS by default.
The easiest way is to root via Magisk

Thanks for this! Are there any noticeable bugs or hardware not working (camera, bluetooth, etc.)?
Everything should be working like the last CM13 release as far as I can tell.
Awesome news - thanks for your efforts. :good:
working all?? camera?? speakers?? micro?
Yes, everything should work.
I updated the downloadlink for AFH.

Root is not included in lineage. To enable root you have to flash SuperSU or the superuser add-on from the lineageOS download page. But I will add this information to install instructions.
Also testing your build now!
Anybody knows If there will be LOS nightlys for the manta or will it stay unofficial?

Do I need experimental build for manta? CM 13 to LOS 13!
Hello!
Looks like official weeklies have started... [https://download.lineageos.org/manta] but no experimental build is available. Is it needed? Or, should I simply install it and then SU [dont' use GAPPS].
Thanks!
I've made a full wiple like suggested in LOSwiki
http://wiki.lineageos.org/manta_install.html
you didn't need to install the LOS su variant cause its useless at the moment (hopefully only a LOS13 issue)
Can't get past the Google services page. The down arrow doesn't do anything. Also can't setup device from another device? Is this normal?

Google services crashing
Hi all,
I couldn't find a thread for the official LOS 13 nightlies, so first of all why don't we have a thread for official LOS 13?
I'm using the nightlies with gapps micro and root. All is working fine, except when doing an update the google services keep crashing and device becomes unusable.
To sum it up, I have always to reflash gapps and root after updating. Can this be fixed? What is causing google services to crash and why do I need to reflash all with every new nightly? It's not needed on other devices when updating to a new LOS nightly.
Kind regards,
am

Hi, here is a moded Flame Gapps package for Lineage 18.1 users.
The main reasons i did this package :
- I get random reboot with all Gapps (Flame and Nick)
- I wanted to keep some removed apps by flame
- I wanted more Gapps than include in "Full" package
MODS from stock Flame Gapps :
- Add Gmail
- Add Google feed
- Add MAPS
- Add Google One
- Add Pixel Wallpapers (univers)2018
- Add Pixel Wallpapers (Animate)2020
- Keep Lineage Audio FX
- Keep Lineage Gallery
- Keep Lineage Camera (Snap)
- Reinstall Lineage Music (Eleven)
- Reinstall Lineage Terminal
- Fix Trichromelibrary for Chrome
- I forget ...
INSTALL :
1 : Flash latest Lineage from here :

My problem also with this Gapps I can´t synchronize my apps with my google account.
Is there a 32 bit version? I tried to flash on a Galaxy s5 and didn't work, an error message apeared on TWRP. The S5 is a 32-bit armv7 based device.
On the Open GApps project page there is currently no version for Android 11: https://opengapps.org
I did some digging in my software repositories and found that: MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm-20210328_143701.zip
I ve heard about another version of "NikGapps" (spelling?) but i am not sure if there is a 32bit arm version avail.
The 64bit version does exist i am pretty sure about that.
I put not very much efforts in this search cause i am on the road to leave google behind.
My Test S5 with haggartk's current unofficial 18.1 is running fine without any google stuff (play services & api).
All of my ~40 apps i use are working without major errors except the "Flightradar24" one of my favourites.
But i think i'll start into 18.1 without google on my Pixel2 and my Pixel3 Testdevice either.
Time will tell......

Sorry for being a newb, but I installed Lineage OS 18.1 (20211010) on my Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) today and tried to get it to work with OpenGapps pico and then nano. I always get stuck on the setup after it asks for a network. Says it can't make a connection, then I choose offline and it stays on "please wait..." forever.
Edit: With micro I get past the setup but then get about 127 error messages saying I don't have Google Play Services installed.

I guess, flashing multiple gapps ZIP's will go wrong.

Thx for the good maintenence of our device.
Clean flash recommended upgrading from CrDroid 7.13?
thank you
@道不尽修无涯, Installed this rom today and am very happy with it. There are a few features that I'm missing. Monet system is not really smooth yet. I wish you add the feature when the screen is locked and always on display is enabled or ambient display to shot off the possibility to pull down for the quick settings. It's very annoying when that happens. So when the screen is locked you can't pull down the quick settings, like in crDroid 11, that was really great. Anyway very thankful for this build. Keep on the great work!
Hi folks, I noticed that after a few minutes the colors on the screen get a bit gray (washed out). So from colorful to dull. With the pixel experience rom, the colors remain consistently colorful. Did you notice that too? Can the dev fix this?
After clean flash it shows bluetooth keep stopping and phone is restarting
I'm tried with niki and flame gapps but it didnt work (without gapps too)
Where is the changelog for 8.2 build?

MOD EDIT: English Translation Below
My Xiaomi Mi 8 (National Bank) flashed the latest version of crDroid v8.2, and an error was reported as soon as it was started (it seems to be a problem with the system application "Setup Boot", which cannot be intercepted because it has not fully entered the system. In addition, I flashed other ROMs No error will be reported, such as PixelExperience, EvolutionX, etc.), and then it will restart automatically, and then report the same error, and so on and so on... I hope that "Ice in the Bamboo Forest" can fix this error, thank you very much!
It's just your personal problem, there's a chance you're in the wrong order and we're all running very well.
Flashed crDroid 8.2 via latest OrangeFox stable with latest NikGapps Core and latest Magisk stable.
Running smooth with latest NoGravityKernel.
Only issue I noticed it's impossible to establish a VPN connection over IPsec protocol.
Edit:
VPN is working now but I didn't figure out why.
AudioFX isn't working? Weather service is also not implemented?
Fresh install, refuses to boot. Stuck at the mi8 logo and doesn't even boot into the LineageOS logo anymore. Not sure what happened.
First time rooting my phone ,Stable ROM. Pretty smooth experience but is the face unlock gone? I checked the settings and it doesn't seems to be available at this moment

Have you tried factory reset your device and it still works?
thank you
Can someone see if this app is available on this ROM? (Meaning just to go to the play store page and see if is available for purchase)
I want to go to a custom ROM but e.g. PE doesn't support this app, it says my device is incompatible with it, so I wanna be sure.
Does this ROM support OTA updates?
