Force update to 4.2.2 by force stop clear data on google services framework under apps 7-10 times.
Works on WiFi only and 3g
Some people may experience problems with play store. I personally haven't. If you do it can usually be fixed by also clearing data in play store uninstalling updates to play store and rebooting .

I have problem with play store after update. Cant download after update. Somebody with same problem?
Update: I find solution for this problem, you must delete your google account. Run Play Store, Play store will give error messages sometimes, after that will give you choice to register new or existing account and voala all working now.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Probably because you cleared Google services data. That can have unexpected side effects.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
This is not the first time this "trick" is here.. every time there is update for our nexus 7 somebody posts this trick, people clear the services data, update "magically" appears, and moments after they realize that it screwed up the whole system.
Result? Yes, you do get the update, but have to restore the whole tablet.
OP, could you update your first post to include the warning that it will screw up your tablet?
Its also known that to fix the play store issue that results from doing this trick, you need to remove then re add your Google account.
which may mean re selecting your chosen sync settings and waiting for pics etc to re populate. That's only downside, so not a big deal. Def no need to full reset

How'd it work out for you? I typically do that and flash the update via recovery. If nothing in the system has been changed it'll update without issues.

On Modaco JR14 and SmoothROM 4.4, tried this tip and let update download, but when it boots into CWM recovery, install fails due to incomplete signature verification. Tried with verification toggled on and off
Is anyone else using this free app. If not, WHY. Absolutely love it! Get your phone SMS to your tablet AND PC!!!! You can also respond via tablet and PC.

Yeah, I tried unlinking and relinking. Didn't work. I decided to just pay the $5 per year and go back to DeskSMS. It has been super reliable across any and every build on my phone, and its companion, TabletSMS, has worked with both my Nexus 7 and my TouchPad. Worth the money to me.

Derp... wrong app. Finally figured it out
I use it but I'm a little concerned about privacy... Its obvious the actual texts and phone numbers are going through mighty texts servers to get from AT&Ts system to my nexus 7 which is only connected via WiFi, or is that incorrect? I text a lot of highly sensitive info due to my line of work. I hope I'm worried for nothing because its a great app and one more reason to put my phone down while I'm on my tablet.

I think it's going through googles servers since you login with your Google credentials, but I guess that could be just for authentication. If you need more privacy tablet talk syncs via Bluetooth but I think you have to pair it a lot.

I love this app so much I made an inverted version. Screenshots attached.
I will upload to test if anyone is interested. Then I will start a post for it once I know it's working for more people then myself. I only themed hdpi so Nexus 7 only for now.
Let me know please!!!!!

I can tell you it is not certainly marked as compatible for Nexus 4 (running CM 4.3.1 snapshot) because it won't let me download it.
EDIT: I also just tried changing ro.product.model in build.prop to Nexus 5, clearing Play Store data and restarting. Still doesn't return the Polar Beat app. I would try the S4 but I don't know the right strings for that phone.
EDIT2: Found S4 strings (GT-I9500 and samsung) and tried those... also cleared Play Services data in addition to Play Store data... seems to make no difference as far as the Play store is concerned.
EDIT3: Installed an unrelated app and it updated my devices on the google play site... now says I have an LGE GT-I9500 instead of an LGE Nexus 4 (despite having changed the ro.product.brand to "samsung"). So I changed the ro.product.manufacturer to samsung as well... still says LGE. I don't see any reference to LGE anywhere in the file. Of course it could be coming up with that based on something else in the file. I didn't change the mako references or anything.
EDIT4: Reverted my build.prop and upgraded to 4.4.2. It won't install on a Nexus 4 with 4.4.2 either. But at least now Play will show me the app and tell me I can't install it rather than pretending it does not exist and showing me a bunch of "Polar Bear" related apps instead of "Polar Beat." So I guess that is an improvement.
I have a samsung 4.1 phone. So does that mean I cannot download the app and use the polar H7?
I found a lollipop ROM for the note 2 international version and was wondering if it would be easier to port from that or to start with aosp. Any suggestions on where to get started? Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/rom-namelessrom-2-0-t2943424
I imagine e it'd be easier to start with the port.
Now all we need are some porting pros.
Its dissapointing that no one is even attempting to maintain this phone now. I suppose, I could try to commission a maintainer though...
Edit: well I found out what happened to one of our biggest device maintainers.

Runs great! I wonder how big of an impact the mostly white menus will drain our batteries. And if the new way Android works and its battery saving will off put that.
