Same here. Devs were responsive for a few emails, and then they just sort of dropped off. Please let me know if you get this figured out. Are out using Handcent or Go SMS on you phone?
That happened to me as well. I unlinked my tablet in the settings and added it back again and it fixed it.

Devs were the same with me, responsive at first, then gave up. No extra sms apps installed so that's not the problem. Also tried resetting everything, but no joy.

Yeah, I tried unlinking and relinking. Didn't work. I decided to just pay the $5 per year and go back to DeskSMS. It has been super reliable across any and every build on my phone, and its companion, TabletSMS, has worked with both my Nexus 7 and my TouchPad. Worth the money to me.
App store issues?
I just picked up a Nexus 7 the other day and went to download Mightytext from the app store and it is saying my device is not compatible? I feel like something is very wrong here. Any suggestions?

Derp... wrong app. Finally figured it out
I use it but I'm a little concerned about privacy... Its obvious the actual texts and phone numbers are going through mighty texts servers to get from AT&Ts system to my nexus 7 which is only connected via WiFi, or is that incorrect? I text a lot of highly sensitive info due to my line of work. I hope I'm worried for nothing because its a great app and one more reason to put my phone down while I'm on my tablet.

I think it's going through googles servers since you login with your Google credentials, but I guess that could be just for authentication. If you need more privacy tablet talk syncs via Bluetooth but I think you have to pair it a lot.

I recently installed AOKP milestone 6 for the first time, coming from Caulks 1.6. I'm not sure if it's an AOKP issue or if it's a 4.0.4 issue or what. I do know my buddy just lost this function on his G Nexus when he updated to Jelly Bean. That makes me think it's not a 4.0.4 issue because it worked normally for him on ICS. I definitely haven't taken any OTA updates so even if it was part of the Apple patent bullsh!t how would it be effecting me?
This is really important to me because I use this function multiple times a day.
Also, Maps takes forever to focus when I zoom in on a map. Any ideas on that?

Strings is just a way of using localized data contained to point to more data that it may contain. Its a SQL function, well, to me.
But I do not know if its a root or an app function within Android itself. Someone smarter than me may have that answer.
I'd try clearing cache and data for the particular app, removing, then reinstall. But it may be more severe of an issue if no app will work.
Did you recently flash a ROM?

I have had it on my phone for 4 days and it works great. However, there are times when I hit the power button to turn it off and it will not wake up and I have to pull the battery out and reboot my phone. I have been flashing the dailies. Today's worked well. I did have random reboots on 8/20 nightly. Officially they will say it is experimental , but I am also using it as daily driver. Its pretty good. Its definitely the best custom rom out for the SGS3. The one thing that does suck it there is no S-BEAM in CM but its pretty clean otherwise.

I found the below on the Sprint forums. figured i would let ya'll know, if ya didn't already
While that would probably work it won't fix the issue, it just hides it from you.
There are a couple of things that can cause this. Any sort of third party messaging app can cause weird issues like this or if something becomes corrupted for some reason. The messages are normally intercepted by the voicemail app before they get to the messaging app, but if something is not working correctly the voicemail app can miss the message, so it will instead appear in messaging.
1. Open the Sprint Voicemail application
2. Press Menu and choose Compose
3. Record a message that is ~2-3 seconds long, it can be longer but doesn't need to be.
4. Send it to [email protected]
5. Within ~15 minutes your phone will re-register with the Visual Voicemail server and the messages should stop appearing.
That should fix the issue most of the time. This method is similar across all Android visual voicemail phones, and even the Samsung Instinct devices. Blackberries and iPhones have a completely different method.

I too would like to thank you as well. I downloaded it last night and what a
difference it has made all day! Stinks that MIUI has voice mail and not CM.
To answer your question @djayallday I believe that it's a trial for the visual voice to text part.
Voicemail itself should still work without a problem even after the trial period has ended.
Hope that helps

I could see ADM being a big deal for Nexus owners or people who own phones that the manufacturer doesn't provide a wipe/tracking feature for. Samsung's Find My Mobile (ex-Dive) has been around for two years and has more features than Google's ADM. Does anyone see any features or benefits ADM provides over Find My Mobile?

And notification's a bad thing? What if someone hacks your Google account and is tracking you via ADM or maliciously sends a wipe command to your phone? Without any notification you'd have no idea. The first thing I'd do on FMM if I truly lost my phone is remote lock it, even before tracking it. The lock command you send to the device allows you to have a 100 character message appear on the lock screen along with a number to call about returning the phone. Which by the way isn't something you can even do (yet) with ADM. Once it's locked the person who finds it (or stole it) can't do anything with it including turning off its wireless signal(s) or reading notifications. And if the phone's in your possession and you track it, ring it or pull a call log who cares that there's a notification? I kind of see your point though in that if the phone's been intentionally stolen the thief could see the FMM tracking notice in the notification bar (there's no audible alert) if the phone wasn't locked first. But a thief that knows Android would immediately hard reset the phone (or disable Wi-Fi and mobile data) right after stealing it which renders both ADM and FMM useless anyway.
It's useless if ur phone is stolen. But very useful if u forgot where u placed your phone. Getting it to ring enables me to find My phone much easier instead of calling myself
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 4
All of this is useless because it is enough for someone that steals/finds your phone to take out the SIM card and no way any software can tell you where it is... so it is very limited help.
Will this require the internet to be turned on my phone?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 4
Yup. It basically connects to your samsung account which your phone is logged on to. A hard reset will remove your samsung account login details so this is really useless if stolen.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 4
What about hardreset? Will ADM survive from a hardreset?
Don't expect too much since it's an added free feature. I'm personally using Cerberus which have full of features and I don't compare the two side by side. Maybe you don't need it now but this small new feature will be of help when you really need it.

MMS and Location crashing on me too. Also crashes while sending a message while its plugged into my computer also. Still like it. Simply clear data in App manager to get it going again. Excited for the legit release!
Mine is working 100%.
Only differance is I have already themed and inverted mine.. Sent a location to another via Hangouts this am..
Just sent another Mms as well. No issues.

I've installed and it all seems to work fine except that I can't save animated GIFs.
I like that I can now use all the emoticons that were available to me from Hangouts with my SMS peeps.

Actually I believe he was talking about on his S4. He mentioned in his thread that no one has it working on note 3. So I'm just using his inverted MMS for now. It's really good.

Still crashing when trying to make a video call.
Swapped out the new kitkat lib file, uninstalled updates, updated from the market, etc.
still crashes..Any ideas?
Nothing but a Hassle with hangouts from the start, extremely frustrating.
I dont understand why Google just cant get things
right from the beginning, like I hate to say it, facetime/imessage. It works and is rock solid.

There are two options for you at this point: rip it down and fix it yourself. Or switch to iOS. Oh wait, there is a third, stop complaining and be thankful for the things that you have the inability to produce.

Ha, you totally missed the point of the and took it as a "apple guy" post...
Billion dollar company = cant fix or launch a decent working messaging app.
No one is switching to IOS here, but IOS people aren't running to hangouts in droves either..
If google was serious about making hangouts a "standard" it wouldnt still be the abortion it currently is.

You missed the point. the Hangouts app in this thread, IS NOT FOR OUR PHONE! It works fine on the Nexus 5, the phone it was MADE FOR. We are using an app that was not designed to work for our phones yet. Hence why it has not been released to the play store and why it's not on our phones stock. So sit back, grab a latte and wait for the official so we don't have to see you complain.

You did it again homeslice. We are on the same team here. lol I AM on an "offical" play version of hangouts and lib..
It does not help the fact that hangouts in general is a disaster right now.
Although I do still have hope.

Okay I got ya now. Weird though, because I didn't have any problems with the video hangouts or the app at all really. I did use it VERY limited though before the SMS version. Now with the SMS version, unofficial, I have NOT tried video. But MMS pictures do jack it up. However, I just send any MMS through stock app.
Sorry for the confusion brother lol

haha its all Good sir. Its hard enough to setup and do Video chats with anyone anyways really if you think about it..
The in-laws are lazy and unwilling to use anything other than facetime to communicate with my 5yr old son.. So its tuff titties when I finally chuck the lame ipad 2 out the window as soon as the Note 10.1 2014 arrives..
