Signed! I use straight talk and got a text last night "reboot to receive nearest update" I was like whoa! Then I got to thinking, I'm rooted to start with, and why would straight talk update?

Figured we should post it here instead of having to go to AT&T forums.

So we'll get an updated kernel from this?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
I don't know if anyone is working on it. Time will tell.

So far the biggest issue for Sprint has been to get the CDMA network working on the Korean port. But that was using the F180K.
Maybe now since the F180L source has been released as well it mayor make a difference.
LG Optimus G E971
I still find it funny that we aren't even on the launch software for most of the gsm phones. Most we launched with v10 and we got two updates taking us to v9 let's hope that changes
I don't care if this is old news or just for accessibility, isn't everyone excited about this?? I sure am!!!! I'm so excited that I am overusing punctuation!!!

Finally got my tmobile s4

Received mine the next even though they said it was going to arrive next week. Most awesome phone ever, totally ditched my ascend mate 6.1". Very fast and smooth, comes very light until you put the battery in. Quality is superior even if it's just plastic. Can't wait for some custom roms!

I was stating moving away from the biggest phone available to this beast of a smartphone. God, why you guys gotta complain.

#1. You are in the wrong section.
#2. Nobody cares.
#3. There is already an owners thread.
#4. BOOM !

Know what's awesome?...

... when Sprint messes up and puts an extra upgrade on your account that you're not supposed to have. My S4 gets here on Tuesday
The OG is a great phone and this is an awesome, helpful community but... I mean, come on. I had to.

That's why the site was given a search function and XDA rules states to search before reposting the same content.

I'm not on Twitter Facebook or use BlinkFeed..... Just because it's posted somewhere on the internet doesn't mean it can't be posted here, I mean isn't that the point of a FORUM....
I saw it on Twitter on my lunch break today, as well as the last page of the Off-Topic thread which is currently one thread below this one.
It was posted in there at 2:00 this afternoon in my timezone anyways.
Doesn't really matter and there's no real point in going back and forth about if this thread should be here or not, since it now is.
Just my 2 cents on the subject. It's not as if there's any prize to be won by posting something first or at all.
I will believe we will get it at the end of the month, when it actually arrives.
I don't doubt that they intend to have it to us by then though.
Do you guys think once we get 4.3 someone will be able to crack this thing open so we can get to flashing

Only Custom. ? Although, I have a question, since I'm without service now. What is the OTA update version (zv7, zv8, zva, zvc, etc...) of their last official release? I want to keep an eye out when the sources are posted on the opensource.lge.com server.

If you want out use either one of the other major carriers buy out your contract deal.
All in all, sometimes putting up with a little bull ****, for less is worth it.
As for me being disabled with a wife and children. Money is more important then an upgrade. And sprint is cheaper.
So I deal with it.

It's a known fact that Sprint never get updates, so sorry but you have no clue. They are usually one of the first. And all carriers charge you a fee to get out of your contract.
Sent from my LG G2 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Are right guys I owned the optimus g and never got sufficient updates that's all people are saying yeah I know sprint is cheaper but it's a reason it's so cheap is because of the network it sucks
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
It does, though sometimes the updates are not just sprint but manufacturers because of sprint.
We have a different NFC chip then the other versions of our phones. CDMA of sprint is antiquated.
There have been 5 updates to the Sprint G2 since it's release. That's quite a few yes?
Anyways, Lollipop is still going to be a while since Sprint isn't even testing it yet based on this - http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS980-SPRINT/latest
