OTA announced when I called T-Mobile.

I called T-Mobile tonight to change my HTC One S to my wifes account due to picking up this bad boy and an automated voice came on while I waited and said that there was going to be an update for my device next week.
Im hoping we're talking 4.1.1 but I guess its better than guessing IF instead of when, just thought of another thing.... what if its for the One S and not the GS3.

I have the One S and its at 4.0.4 already, hell it could be for my daughters phone too but I agree with nightfox because T-Mobile is well known for dragging their feet on the updates in the past.

That message is probably 2 weeks old, and talking about the update that we did get last week.

We dont know, and more then likely Samsung and Tmobile has no clue when its going to drop. People who give you a month or date are guessing and or going off rumors like the person who posted above me.

February judging by how long it took for ics updates. Apple is right about one thing: google updates are effin slow.

Really dude?

I don't get what the fuss about jb is all about. Yeah it's androids latest and greatest OS but the stock UVLH2 is great imo. Does everything I want it to. I'm just happy that we're not on froyo anymore.

Ive heard everything from Sept To oct. Nov or just plan by the end of the year no one seems to know for sure. I cant wait!

Samsung started rolling out JB already in Poland and said it'll be rolling out in the USA soon.

Seriously, you will have to TRY to not know about it. Just be patient. EXPECT it not to come out till December or January!
Then you can be really happy if it comes before then!
Besides there is nothing wrong with ics. I just dont understand why so many people get so frustrated and unhappy because an update isnt out right here right now!

That picture is not exactly clear, but I do see it now. I was going only off the article. What I said about the devs finding a way around the rooted phone block still stands.

The article states the app will not fully run if you are rooted. Hope a dev can find a work around.

I'm in Salt Lake and isis has a list of available retail stores:

I'm rooted of course with 4.1.2. This might be worth going back to stock to see if it's any good.
Hopefully I'll have something to update on the 22nd!

my question is, when are the isis ready sims available for the users outside of houston and SLC? do we have to wait until the end of the year to get them?

Hardly seems worth it. I'll wait till this technology gets out of the gimmick stage till I'm in.

Maybe I read one of the articles wrong; but my understanding was if you didn't have a device with NFC, then you would need the new sim card to take advantage of ISIS. I need to see if I can find that article again, but that being said, I would never go back to stock to use ISIS.
What I really want is Google Wallet, and not have my carrier dictate to me which mobile wallet I can use.

I can attest to it..after leaving my phone for two weeks at two different places they weren't able to unlock it. I emailed Prath, and got a code within 10 minutes of sending the paypal payment

When will we get the update?

This is meant to be in good fun.
In my past experience with HTC and Verizon, when update schedules are released to the public....neither company follows through with the update (or source code for that matter).
So my question to all of my fellow One peeps is when do you think we will actually see the "end of October" update that HTC has promised?

A couple of days ago Jason Mackenzie with HTC said we would have an update (about our 4.3 update) soon so hopefully we hear something. He was pretty good about letting people with other carries know about delays, etc. I've got my fingers crossed for next week, but I'm sure he'll tweet if they delay it.

HTC recently posted on Facebook that 4.3 would be out before the end of October. I guess we'll wait and see.

Jason Mackenzie replied to one of my tweets, and he said Verizon was being supportive. Only thing I could think that was messing things up is that the hop is from 4.2.2 versus 4.1.X so even though its smaller, might have sense issues

Everyone should know it's Verizon that holds up updates. We know Google gets updated for it's nexus line real quick and the gnex on Verizon had to wait months for updates. While other carriers gnex phones got the updates as soon as Google released them. So the wait will be more on Verizon than HTC.

I will be shocked if we see the update by months end! Verizon is notorious to be slow with updates as to make sure their crapware is installed for maximum bloat on our devices. I have a co-worker who has an att one, and says that he does not have as near as much bloat; as so he says...

I also saw something that said s3 should get update to 4.3 in Nov.... Don't believe it.

There's a much better chance we see it this coming week than after Christmas. I highly doubt it gets delayed more than a month...IF it does at all. I'm sure Mackenzie would have tweeted something by now if there was a 2+ month delay. He should be letting us know this week for sure, though. That being said, Verizon is pretty good about dropping the ball.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I remember when they said the bolt would get ics. HTC said Verizon wad holding it up and Verizon said HTC was holding up the update.
