listen i m telling u clearly what to do ...
u will need your stock firmwares 3 system files ..
framework-res.apk
systemui.apk
twframework-res.apk
u will get this three files in two location ...
Systemui.apk in system/app folder
twframework-res.apk & framework-res.apk in system/framework folder
u need to copy this three files from your stock rom .... then keep them in a folder in pc.
then go to google.com ... there search for uot kitchen
uot.dakra or something like this site will come... in that site u will see there is a option called kitchen ... click that.
then click on file upload option ...
on the right u will seee a option called upload system files... click that .. then select those three files on by one in that site fron your pc.
it will autometically be uploaded .
then on that page only ... look at left and u will see on the top there will be a option called " select flashable zip scripting" by default it will be MTD ... click on it and select Galaxy.
then see a little below u will see a option called " Theme chooser preview" select mdpi/idpi option NOT HDPI.
after complition of this ... click on summery ... and if u did everything correctly ... it will be.showed as green colour.
anywaz ... "click on submit to kitchen."
once u clicked on submit u will get a order code with some numbers ... copy that code somewhere ... after 5-10min click on pickups ... ur file will be there with that same order code.
DONT APPLY OTHER ORDER CODES...IF U APPLY OTHERS ORDERS ... AND FLASH IT .. YOUR PHONE MIGHT FALL IN BOOT LOOP .... SO DOWNLOAD ONLY URZ NOT OTHERS.
anywaz now after downloading ur file .. copy that file in your sd cards root folder ... not in any folders ...
then switch off your phone and start your phone in this combination keys ... (home+power+volume up) keep holding those 3 buttons until u see galaxy y young black screen ... release the.buttons ...
u will be in recovery mode ... there select apply update from sd card... then select the cwm zip file and mount that ... u will be in cwm recovery... there select apply update from zip ... choose the file u just downloaded and flash it ...
and then reboot.
if everything goes well ... after rebooot ur notification bar will be available.
hope this helps

Restore your UI to stock(framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk & SystemUI.apk) DDLC2
So what you gonna do is:
1. Download the below attached "ui-restore.zip"
2. Place the "ui-restore.zip" in the root of sdcard.
3. Boot into recovery (switch on pressing "vol up + home + power" buttons).
4. Select update.zip from sdcard.
5. Select "ui-restore.zip"
6. Reboot
*I'm not responsible if anything goes wrong.
Hi
If you want to disable led lights in bottom of phone, you need only a Root Explorer , go here:
/sys/class/leds/button-backlight
open this file ( brightness ) in text editor and change 1 to 0 , now save the file, it should turn off your led lights.
but it effect untill your phone is on after restart it goes back to defaults.
May be you can make script to apply at boot.
Make a zip that pushes the edited file into the system, perhaps i can make it

You need to have a root explorer you can use ES File Explorer just make sure you go in settings and check for it to allow you to go up too root...
Once in root directory click the data folder, it is in there.

if using root Explorer.. Top will have a box that says "Mount as R/W" Click it. Open Editor to edit the file.. Make changes. Hit Save.. Close Root explorer, reboot phone, Profit. (These steps should work to show correct carrier, if something is wrong in post please add changes) thanks for shopping.

When you change the r/w properties just check them all I dont know what I neesa to be on exactly... when you edit the file there should of been 4 instances of "freegs3" that you change. After that make sure you save and reboot it should work

Kind of obvious question, but: are the read/write settings correct? Some users get confused with apks such as root explorer where it shows a button saying 'read only' whereas it's a toggle to change it.
I finaly understood my error I just didn t asked the root permission for my explorer --' but thanks for your answer

I posted this because surprisingly I have not seen this post for our nexus 4. Thank this awesome guy from xda for creating this for all devices!!! Here's the link to his post and also here's some snapshots

Oh if you didn't know you can pinch to zoom to do this awesome zoom effect. Try it out!! You have to flash through twrp or cwm. It will install the xperia launcher as well so if you want that aligned perfectly you have to edit your build prop. How to do that?
Easy!!
1st download es file explorer (its free)
2nd when you open es file explorer hit the menu key and tap settings
3rd scroll all the way down and click root settings and check all the boxes.
Now that you've done that, hit back until you get to a sign that pops up and says "press again to exit" then don't exit obviously.. You've just got full access to your files!! Meaning be careful which system files you touch! You only need to modify one. Trust me. It sounds hard but is a lot less complicated. Simply navigate to system/ then go all the way down to build.prop. simply tap on it and click es note editor. Then locate " ro.sf.lcd_density=320" then simply change the 320 to 340 and save. It will automatically create a back up build prop for you. Here's where you really need to watch out. Make sure after your done editing and saving your build.prop you TAP AND HOLD build.prop and scroll all the way down to properties and tap it. Then tap change and check all the boxes on the left and below write tap the top middle box. If your confused I posted a pic below... What your are doing here is setting permission to the file you just modified. Then now that you just set permission your good to reboot!!! After you reboot you just flash jb gapps and clear cache and dalvik cache. And your launcher is perfectly set. If you did not fix permissions the way the pic looks you won't boot up at all you'll only be able to fastboot. That's why I say its important to follow step by step. Also the reason I say flash gapps is because if you don't you won't be able to install certain apps in the play store (it'll say device not compatible). No more misaligned launcher!! If your don't like the launcher simply use titanium backup to remove it or search through file explorer. Bye all!!

Cool.
[NEXUS⁴] [CARBON1.6] [MATR1X8] [TWRP]
If I remember from the Nexus 7 forums correctly, changing your build prop will cause future Android update to fail during installation. This looks awesome though.
It may cause problems with installation with modified changes
But that would just require you to go back to stock with our recovery tool. I never update my ROM straight through a custom rom. Or simply use your "back up build.prop" that I mentioned es explorer does automatically for you and rename that back up back to build.prop then delete modified build.prop. Of course always make sure you set your permissions even on the back up !
