[Q] status 7

hey i had my phone rooted and then i flashed the new official froyo that was rooted and now using the clockworkmod everytime i try and flash a new rom i keep getting a status 7 error and i have been wiping my cache and everything so that isn't the problem. any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to go back cyanogen.

Actually, it's not that way. And being an ass won't get you mod status, apparently that is what you are going for.

i agree, this is NOT the place for this. it belongs in q and a.
that being said, google is your friend.
my suggestion is return it to stock image, and reflash.

I would be more than happy to if you just tell me how.... Never had to do that before but I am capable...

If i can get my hands on the stock Rom i would try every Rom in this forum lol

So I skimmed through what you had me read and it seems as if you need root...? That's what were tryin to get here right? Maybe I read it wrong but I assumed I needed root to give you a system dump...?

I would love to get a full stock system dump so I can flash it with Oden. My modem got overwritten when I was playing :/

Playing is sometimes not fun without all the info but I guess someone has to be the person to check.... What did you do?

I uses the n7100 toolkit and got cwm and supersu installed. Having a hell of a time getting my titanium backup working from my galaxy nexus to my new note2...

You can flash a custom recovery with odin and then flash su within recovery.. was able to freeze a lot of crap draining batt..

Installing firmware over custom rom

Ok so I just tried to use odin to go back to stock on my gs3. I was running Frosty v4 and I used odin to flash the att firmware. Well everything work and then i got to where is just says samsung when you boot up. Can anyone help or tell me what to do? I am without a phone right now and I have no clue what to do.

I would like some help!?

I have recently purchased a galaxy note 2 and as I was reading the original development forums as a non-member I came across a cyanogen 10.1 port! I flashed this onto my phone along with the gapps for 4.1.2 this caused my phone to boot in and have error messages everywhere and I could not get out of them!!! I am going into panic mode!!! Is there any way to undo what I did?! I have not been able to find a stock rom for ATT that allows for a reset with Odin!? So is there any way to get me out of this predicament!?

Hit the thanks button on accident. Scott aka scrosler posted a rooted deodexed stock rom with the OTA from yesterday in the development section. Do a clean install and you should be ok.

Really sounds like you need to stop. Read. Read some more. And then some more. Before you brick your phone. The rom jyazzie mentioned is flashed the same way you put cm10.1 on your phone.

I have read as much as possible! the way I put it was incorrect I have no way of accessing my phone because as soon as I boot up it says there was an error starting gapps then it continues to say this indefinitely... so the only way to install any sort of fix for this would be from my computer!

Tell me. How did you put cm 10.1 on your device. How did it get there?

To flash the rom by scrosler is the exact same way you flashed cm10. Before you do anything I suggest you take a few hours and read this over and over until you know what you are doing.

Is there a manual way of accessing recovery? because when I boot into it I use the power, home, volume button way but it only brings me to the stock recovery mode...

If you flashed cm 10.1 on your phone there is no way you have a stock recovery. Unless you've done something else that you haven't told us. I think we need more info.

I have no idea I have the normal recovery that says: DOWNLOADING please do not disconnect from source

thats not recovery. thats download mode. with the device off use the same button combo but hold volume up instead of volume down.
edit: and busted, you didint do your reading lol.

[Q] Cant Flash 4.3 Roms

Not sure what happen but whenever i try to flash a 4.3 rom i get the rom directory location with "(bad)" at the end. im trying to use the pac man rom but no luck i was on it last week but after i tried Ditto 3 it was a no go could some1 help i have mostly all I317 firmwares but any help would be nice.

Have you tried using Odin to return to fully stock? Then re root it flash Rom of choice, too if problem still persist...
Before doing above did you try a internal storage wipe b4 your install? To get rid of all old days from previous Rom!!
