I swapped my Ace2's memories (external sd card and usb storage).
Now the USB Storage is my sdcard (16GB) and external storage is the original usb storage.
But now, I want to move my apps to USB Storage (my sdcard in real), how to?
thx

how to?

See this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126363

And How to do for move my apps in my sd card ?

It's impossible with swap. You can use only link2sd

I'll create a partition (ext2, 9GB for apps and games data, 4GB for photos/music/videos) with MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition
Then, how to move apps in the 9GB partition??

So with Link2Sd i choose an app, then I move to partition of 9GB?
And if i partition my sd card in ext2, there will be 2 partitions, isn't it?

Yes but the 2nd partition can be used only with link2sd

Ok, because I swapped my memories and now my sd card is my usb storage, I have to partition my sd card (which is usb storage) in ext2, then I move with link2sd etc..?

Yes I have the memory swap but also the 2nd partition ext2 and it works fine

Ok, I summarize:
I have a 16GB SD Card partitionned in ext2 (one of 9GB, another of 4GB)
I have the memory swap.
So: I'll go in Link2sd, it will ask me about my partitions (I choose ext2), then it will create a link so I could move my apps to the 2nd partition of 9GB?

Yes but to move the app you have to use only link2sd not another app

Yes I know
Thank you very very [............] very much!!!!!

I partitioned my SD card for A2SD but i only see 1/10th of my partition?

I used my recovery (psfMod http://psfmod.klutsh.com/) to partition my SD card. I chose my EXT to be 1024mb (1gb) and my swap to be 0
when i booted back up, i only gained 100mb of internal phone memory.
Am i not undertsanding how A2SD works? I thought that if you partitioned your SD properly, the internal memory total will increase and everything moves on..
Am i doing something wrong?
Don't worry. You won't see that extra 1gig added to the internal memory but, when you install new apps, the internal memory shouldn't go down much as they are installed to the SD EXT.
Cool
Also, should i uninstall my apps and reinstall them so they get moved to teh SD? or does it not work like that?
Does it merge the iternal and now external partition together as one therefore not needing to move any apps/reinstall apps?

No don't move to SD as you might get data loss. Internal/Telephone Memory now IS the SD (Ext)

no internal memory is not now the SD-Ext, all apps2sd+ does is create a symlink between /data/app/, the dalvik cache and the newly created /system/sd/app/ and /system/sd/dalvik cache (a.k.a) the Ext partiton, all application data and device data is still stored in /data/data/ taking up device space ..... but your right to say you dont have to move any apps ect
So right now i got internal memory (118mb or so?) + my now 1GB partition.
so i got 1118MB or so . cool
I dont think that you can fill up 1GB before the internal memory is full...
Isn't that the point though? the ext partition is additional space, so you no longer need to worry about the internal memory
Yes but as said a part of each app will still go to the phone. So internal *might* be full before EXT.
Ahh, makes sense. Now i know why installing the 10+mb skype app put 3mb on my phone
thanks
1 GB is probably too much. 512mb is the recommended size.

MicroSD card space missing after partition mishap

I was using gparted to give myself some more ext3 space on my 16gb microsd card and I may have unplugged / unmounted my phone or something so the partitioning failed. gparted (and other programs) now only see 12gb of space on the card. Is there anything I can do to recover the 4gb?
Have you tried to delete all the partitions and fully format the sd card?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yeh, still 12gb.
And if you put your sdcard in a cardreader on a pc or laptop and run a tool like partition wizzard (or Something similar) is there a partition that says unallocated space ?

I did this once as well
open the card up with Gparted again, delete all the partitions, unmount then remount the card, and you should have the full size in unallocated memory.

Swap internal with External

Hello and sorry if this post already exsists a new on this forum after swapping my iphone for play is there any way to swap internal for external on this device i have done something before like this on my galaxy note 10.1 wanted to know if its possibe for the play Thank You
Your best friend would be to copy everything off your sdcard to your computer and use Minitool partition (free) to format and create a EXT3 partition onto your MicroSD card, then copy all your contents back to the SD card (Fat32 partition) and install Link2SD to your phone and link all apps to your ext partition.

ext partition is usually used if you want extend your internal memory like using link2sd or other tools.
i don't think it's necessary with our phone, because it has 1g+ internal. you can simply move the apps to sdcard to free some internal mem.
CWM if i'm not wrong, by default creates ext3 partition.
thanks 4 ur explaination...

Move apps to USB storage

Hi
I will swap memories on my Ace 2.
But I would know how to move apps on USB storage (which will be my SD Card).
If i part my sd card in ext2, can I make 2 partitions (9GB & 5GB) ? And does Link2SD will "know" that my USB Storage is my SD Card?
Thanks

1: In system settings select apps/[name]/"move to SD", or in Link2SD use the button with the same name. This moves part of the app to the internal (external after swapping) FAT partition and doesn't work for every app.
2: In Link2SD use the "symlink" features and the app will always go to the external ext2/3/4 partition.
