On my device i found 4 folders:
Sdcard( in root)
Sdcard0(in root/storage)
0(in root/storage/emulated)
Legacy(in root/storage/emulated)
They all contains sdcard contests.
Some music files are corrupted.
Its the first time i see these folders, each app using sdcard is loading from a different folder.
Android 4.2.2 need help to know what are these and if they are duplicates so i should delete.

It's actually well documented on XDA already, I just did a search for "sdcard0 one x" and it throws up a multitude of results. It's nothing to worry about, just comes from flashing most aosp roms, and some sense roms. just leave it

All files exist in other folders, these 4 folders contain exactly the same folders, but most files are corrupted after flashing MIUI v5 andriod 4.2.2.
Corrupted forlders have no name and cant be accessed.

Hi Guys!
I have tried to edit flashable zip files on my Mac (OS X Lion). I wanted to add some mods to ARHD 6.2.0... I tried using BetterZip to open and edit those zip files. That seemed to work good until I flashed it. I am stuck in a bootloop now... Now, do you guys have some instructions for me on how to edit flashable zip files on a mac? Which software do you use?
thx in advance!
I'm using the commandline version pf 7zip on linux to edit .zip files. Maybe the same app exists for mac?
Thx! Will try that! Is there an app with a GUI too ?

I'm not sure. I remember trying to find one myself for my MBP but gave up and did the work on my desktop instead. Post here if you find one, preferably in this way: 'Dear people from the future, I did find an app...'
wow... I downloaded the p7zip archive. But I dont know how to install it i tried:
Code:
cp makefile.macosx_64bits makefile.machine
make app
I get a looooong list of errors and stuff... but no app
help!!
EDIT: I tried macosx_32bits too... think the issue is, that I dont have wxwidgets installed. But I cannot find a version for OSX Lion???!
Does nobody in here uses a Mac to modify zips??

THX!!! that one did it for me! MacPorts is a really nice site! Bookmarked it!
FYI, I found another possibility: I used the Android Kitchen from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5626292
That seems to work too
iZip
iZip is a little know but effective zip editing tool. It's a bit slow on large amounts of file changes and it doesn't seem to allow you to update files on a mounted zip file, but otherwise it's pretty ok
Hello Guys,
This installer is based on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24490174
Download:
http://marvelics.bplaced.net/_old/auto/RUU.exe
That's just genius I never thought about doing a rom installer like that
Sent from my Wildfire S using xda premium
And what does you mean?
P.S.: In theorie it is possible to install each rom with this method

No I never thought that
I mean, the first look, the handling and so on, maybe the function. What can be better and so on...

If you would have PM'ed me earlier I could have posted this
May I ask what options does it choose for you and is it configurable for different devices. Also what version of .sense is it?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using xda premium
Is it the beta 2.0.1 version with the OC Kernel
And it can be used for every HTC device. You can reinsert another system.img so you can use every Rom you ever had
More you find here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24490174
@ONeill123-plz advise people to wipe data before using this......i got stuck at the boot animation while installing....It booted completely only on wiping data
No,
and the answer to the question why:
because this installer is like a RUU (Rom Update Utility). That means, that your data has to be stored to use in the newer version of the rom, too. Without backup or something else.
ONeill
I think the problem might be that I used this installer over CM7...can't think of anything else
I'm trying to create a barebones Rom but I have never had to mess with the internals much, I've already removed all the apps for the alpha test but I was hoping someone might be able to write a tut on this? Or point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

What is a barebones ROM? I like the name.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using XDA
It will be my Rom with a custom kernel but with nothing on it apart from the needed parts from which users will be able to customize to their liking rather than having loads of crapware, the idea came from tinycore Linux.

hi. I just got an htc one v unit but when I turn on the wireless it takes a long time and it does not find anything to connect to.
it also can't save a wireless setting manually and it wont connect to the gprs .
what should I do mainly about the wifi problem ?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Do a factory reset and see how it goes. If it still the same, bring it to HTC centre to check.
I forgot to say but factory reset did not solve the problem too

for the op: go to system/lib in your base rom (our cm9), delete libandroid_runtime.soand then, copy the exact same file libandroid_runtime.so from the rom you want to port. flash and reboot.
stuck at bootsplash -.-'
is this because of the kernel ?
must i unpack change and repack it ?
use same device for porting dude or it won't boot
unless u willing to edit thousands of smali files as per our device
use only htc phone roms
no other brands such as sony, Samsung........

Try porting a basic CM9 Rom. SEMC, even if you get it booted, you will have force closes. I ported the GB version a few months back. Many problems.
