Ok, so my problem is the next one:
I have rooted my phone now 6 months, from then I haven't used ODIN. Now I want to install android 4.2.2 so I want to unroot my device, when it's turned on, it is recognized by computer and I can share files, photos etc.
Short version to the problem: ODIN doesn't recognize my Samsung Galaxy Note II when it's in download mode, even if I followed all the steps correctly.
I tried:
- Using another USB cable
- Using another USB port
- Followed the instructions - 1. Turn off the device 2. Enter download mode 3. Connect it 4. Open ODIN
None of above helped me. It's not from the drivers or kies, because my phone is recognized by computer.
I really try from a week to solve the problem from tutorials or internet, but I couldn't find any solution so I hope someone could help me.
Try to uninstall Kies. It really messes things up. Leave only the drivers, or uninstall everything Kies related and put these drivers. Then try again.
Experienced much the same symptoms today, not having updated recently, phone would be recognized by Kies, by the PC, but not in download mode by Odin. Tried removing Kies, Kies Air, previous drivers, reinstalling drivers mentioned above. Nothing. And then I happened to click on an older version of Odin accidently and it recognized my Note 2 SGH-i317m almost immediately. Odin3 ver 1.82. Have no idea why but for your information in case it helps you.
Makes sure kies is not running in background. End the process from Teal manager and try again.

Note note not recognosed by Note 2
I rooted My note 2 about a month ago and now i want to install the stock ROM back. but then i connect my Note 2 to my PC and run Odin, its not recognised. i have removed kies from my PC and installed the drivers as mentioned.
i restarted m PC and disable the antivirus as well. Still then, no change.
Can some one please help me out with this issue
Hi,
I have similar problem with my Note II. When I had rooted phone, computer didnt recognize my phone. I tried to reinstall drivers, using Toolkit or manually, but nothing works. Samsung Kies I havent installed on my computer, I tried to install Kies too, but Kies doesnt recognize phone too. So I installed mobileOdin into my phone and unrooted it, but "force root" was checked. So now I have "unrooted" phone with no working superuser because some binaries are missing, I have stock recovery, my computer still doesnt recognize my phone. So I cant install mobileOdin because I havent root permissions, and I cant do anything else. So what I have to do if I want to make my Note II working well with computer? I have no ideas.
Btw, another usb cabel I tried too...
Thanks for reply

Here is my problem. It all started a few days ago. My phone's drivers on the computer got all messed up. I reinstalled it and thought nothing of it. Today I was guna flash a new rom on. I odin my phone to do a clean install. Then i rooted it to ext4. (After the fact i realized i had clicked the wrong file and loaded di18) However then my bro wanted to use my computer for his epic to odin it too. So i can't load my phone cause its in ext4. I can't fix the drivers because its in download mode and can't get into regular mode. And I can't odin it back because odin wont' recognize it because of my drivers. Its a circle of pain. Is there anything I can do?
After thinking about it will loading a di18 ext4 rom work to fix it?
Reinstall the drivers. And odin ec05 pre rooted. If ur in download mode its fine. Just delete the drivers reboot your pc re install the drivers put your phone into download mode and connect too your usb cable. Your phone doesn't have too be in "regular" mode as you callled it
There aren't any DI18 EXT4 roms. There isn't any EXT4 support for Eclair.
Redownload the Drivers then run ODIN. Install one of the pre rooted .tars.
http://www.multiupload.com/A9VPX4G2ZW here's the ec05 ext4 pre rooted tar
driver
i already redownloaded drivers it kept on not installing saying failing to install.
Ok download the link I gave u for ec05 tar. Put the tar in pda. Make sure u have the pit file selected as well.
And when u open odin. If your phone connects it'll be a yellow box saying com whatever could be com 6 or com 8. Also only have auto reboot checked nothing else
Sounds like your not using odin properly. Here Is a video showing you exactly what too do.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ2g6J1JgjU

Uninstall the drivers first and reboot.
fixed but new issue
I managed to. Fix it by using another computer and my dads phone to install drivers. Btw I already knew how to get in dl mode use odin root flash roms and all of that. My problem came from the fact thatb odin didn't recognize my phone in dl mode on my main computer. Now onto my new issue. Last night after I fixed the phone I had a small pinl blotch on the topleft o my phone. Now the blotch. Has spread to my whole phone along with blue and purple dots almost like its leaking. Is the lcd broken? Any ideas?
Ditch odin and learn to use heimdall

best way to fix this is to uninstall the usb root hubs in the device manager and reboot. that's for the driver issue...
I have done this before. But now for some reason Odin won't find my phone. It says added. Then I load the PDA. And it fails. My phone is on download mode. I am running the latest ics official rooted and have super user. Also when I try kies it finds the phone. Finds the jb update. It downloads then I notice it says to connect a device on the background as the front window just hangs at 100%. When I try to go into download mode manually I can't get into it. Only when I use a widget to reboot into download mode. Downloaded the drivers. I also uninstalled kies. Re installed kies. Installed drivers separetly and nothing.
The phone connects and I can read my files
I'm thinking. USB drivers. Idk
Can anyone help me?
OK weird thing. I got home from work. I put the phone on download mode. Hit start on Odin and it just installed no problems. Go figure.
Hello...
I just got my Samsung Galxy S4 Tmobile SGH-M919 from a first user. Later, i found out the Wifi and BT would not work but as i have experienced/read on some threads, that might be issue of Kernel so i am not worried.
Now, i will like to root my device. I got every files downloaded and ready but ODIN WOULD NOT CONNECT TO MY DEVICE!!!
First of All.. My device details
- Device - SGH M919
- OS - KK 4.4.2 (STOCK)
- Bootloader - M919UVUNB4
Now, before i start getting replies... Here are what i have tried.
-(DEVICE DEBUGGING FIXED SET)
-(PC ADB & FASTBOOT READY)
1. Of course, i have USB Drivers installed... I uninstalled and Re-Installed - Same!
2. I installed Latest Kies ... Same!!!
3. I read on one thread about Kies3 working for FW 4.3. I got Kies3.... Installed.... Same!!!
4. I tried several ODIN Versions 3.07, 3.09, 1.85, 3.10 ... Same!!!
5. I watched in a Youtube Video to remove battery while in Download Mode and Connected to PC... Same!!!
The only step i havnt is TO FORMAT (WIPE & RELOAD WINDOWS) my PC as that would not be a welcomed option. I have tonnes of files i dont wanna loose.
Anyone with another means to get My Device Rooted and CWM/TWRP Installed...
I would really appreciate.
Thanks !
SLOVED!!!!
The Problem was the USB DRIVER. Later found the right USB Driver. Now Connected on ODIN.

Hello...
First, the environment: P600 32GB US version. Running Windows 8.1 on my laptop, SDK installed fine. ADB drivers working with no problem.
Here's the problem: I was running the stock ROM with root for a very long time, but I decided to try the unofficial port of Cyanogenmod 12. It installed just fine, but in the process it whacked my TWRP installation on the tablet. When I rooted the tablet I had been running Windows 7 and the Samsung drivers worked without any issues, both ADB and Fastboot.
No matter what I try now, I can't get the Fastboot driver to load - the tablet is recognized as a Samsung USB composite device, but Fastboot does not see it and whenever I try to change to most any other driver, the install succeeds but the device can't start (the dreaded Code 10).
Of course, the stock recovery won't let me load anything that isn't signed by Samsung, and I can't find a stock signed image anywhere, so I can't even get back to the stock ROM. And Windows 8.1 on multiple machines seems to be working the same way, so unless I can get the right driver installed and working I can't flash anything from my laptop. Mobile ODIN doesn't support the tablet, Goo.IM Manager installed, but it apparently does not recognize the tablet either, so I can't flash anything on the tablet side, either.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this to work short of throwing up a Windows 7 VM and trying that?

Have you tried installing Kies and using the drivers it provides? Or if you already had Kies installed, going to Tools > Reinstall device driver?
Different USB cable?

Thanks. I tried Kies and three different cables as well. Nothing doing. I think because the Knox counter was tripped Kies connects to the tablet and then says it is unsupported and disconnects. ADB driver works fine independently, but when running Kies it does the same thing - connects, recognizes the tablet as a P600 but then disconnects because it is unsupported.
Because of the Knox thing I am pretty sure Samsung will charge me an unspeakable amount to reflash this thing, so I would love to find my own solution.

I doubt this is the issue, the Knox counter has been tripped on my P600 since a week after I got it, and I've taken every firmware update via Kies.
Does it give you this message only when the device is in download mode, or do you get it with the tablet powered up normally?
AFAIK Kies won't recognize your tablet unless it's been started normally with Android running, and if it's still got anything other than a stock ROM on it, that message isn't surprising.
I'm also running Windows 8.1 on both my laptop and desktop and have never had any connection issues
If all you want is TWRP back, have you tried Flashify?

I've been pretty much throwing anything at the problem - I did try Flashify, and it tells me that it does not recognize the device. The tablet boots, it runs fine (no weirdness), I have root but no ability to flash anything.
As far as Kies goes, even when running normally (meaning not in download) Kies tells me the device is unsupported.
My goal is to be able to get to something so I can flash stock in case I decide to sell the tablet. I love it, but it already feels like an orphan and not because of my screwing things up. Kinda feels like Samsung abandoned it not long after release in favor of the Tab Pro line. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Is my Galaxy TabPro10.1wifi completely locked, or am I doing something wrong?
I can't install any custom recovery and I can't root the device:
(I put cyanogenmod on my Nexus 7 2013, and that was a breeze, but this
is making me pull my hair out)
I just bought a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 SM-T520 from BestBuy last week.
It is wifi only (not a phone)
Android: 4.4.2
Kernel: 3.4.39-3336840
Build: KOT49H.T520UEUANK1
In everything that I have tried, Odin starts "initialization"
and just gets stuck there forever. On the tablet, I never see a bar
indicating any download starting, or progress meter.
I have tried looking through lots of threads and Google searches, but
I can't figure out how to get either a custom recovery or root.
It boots into and runs its stock (Samsung) Android OS fine.
I have turned on developer mode, and permitted USB debugging.
I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
I have turned off MS Security Essentials and User Account Control.
Each time I run as administrator for Odin, or Heimdall, as well, for good measure.
I start up "download mode", and the TabPro says "Downloading..."
I connect the USB cable and Odin recognizes the device.
I tried to install TWRP using Odin with all the combinations:
I tried Odin 3.04, 3.07, 3.09, 3.10, 3.10.6
I tried TWRP 2.7.0, 2.8.0, 2.8.1.2, 2.8.6
I tried to root it with chainfire CF-Auto-Root with Odin 3.07 and 3.09
(download.chainfire.eu/392/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-picassowifi-picassowifixx-smt520.zip)
Towelroot does not support this device.
I tried Heimdall for clockworkmod recovery and that didn't work either.
Thanks in advance - I would really appreciate any help.

Yes, I first tried the Samsung drivers and then even installed Kies v3.
When I tried Heimdall, I loaded the WinUSB from zadig, but when I went back to Odin, I re-installed the Samsung drivers, and rebooted.
No luck with Samsung, Kies, or Hiemdall/zadig

ok so I think this s just that most of the stuff you are trying to flash in ODIN has not been updated to work with the NK1 build. I ran into this a bunch when i first got my 12.2 tab pro last week. It turned out the file i was trying to flash was just no longer compatible with the build I was using. One file actually softbricked the device. What are you trying to run? Do you have the tab rooted? If it is the 12.2 I can walk you through what i had do to to get it work work.
