Just go to the play store and search for recover lost pictures. You'll get a bunch. I've personally used easeus on my computer if those don't work. Great program, but expensive

I have a 16G memory card and it reads 12G used and 3.3 G remaining. I have about 3G if games from gameloft and barely 1G of pics 3.4G of backup data. When I select to see what apps are on sdcard it had a list of games and everyone of them gives me the option to move to usb storage. I've
Deleted a lot of stuff especially videos and pics and it seems like my memory card its congested. Do I need to format it to get it empty?

I'd hookup to PC and browse through files there, delete things you don't need like old roms and leftover garbage from old apps and see if that helps. Old nandroids take up a lot of space too.

Yeah they do I saw that. What are LOST.files is that important.

Just google lost.dir and see what pops up. From my understanding in doing that a while back, this is kind of like a recycling bin area. I'm sure someone else on here can explain it in greater detail. I check that folder and delete it every now and again when I see it filling up. The phone will create that folder again on the next reboot.

The only folder on your sd card u need is your Android folder cuz thats wat holds your data...

So, how do I do this? have manually transferred the apk files so that I have the apps installed, but how do I transfer the app data? I haven't turned on Google backup, and I hear it is a bit hit and miss anyway, so what is the best way of doing this? Does titanium backup work on a non-rooted phone?
Thanks
Bolo

I don't think it will do it automatically but maybe where you have to install each one at a time. And without root I don't know if it can link it to market etc. I used to use my backup pro on my X10 before root
Sent from my LT28at using xda app-developers app
Titanium no go wo root but do u even need data? Sometimes that's trouble anyway w using a dif rom. If u have apks just install, open and reset them, minor pain but otherwise could get nothing but force closes. eb

After running a bit and market too should sync themselves. eb

Haha, the app info is not that important I just don't want to go through the first 1000 levels on unblockme again!

I'm trying to do the same thing did you ever figure it out?
After install the game, look for the file or folder of your game in the old phone - copy & paste to the new phone in exact location. Ie: /android/data/..xgame.
I play PES2012 and that worked for me.

Nope still have not. The game data is saved on the system part of the phone and so can't transfer without root...
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
Rooted or not you still able to access system folder.
Sent from my LT28i using Tapatalk 2
Hi, I might be missing the point here, but if you are not rooted you cannot write to the root folders. So even if you can access the folders (which I can using astro on my non rooted ion) you cannot write the required data which means cannot transfer the data. It really depends on where your app saves the game.
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
I could be wrong but I don't think any programs install after the rom would write into the system and do not allow you to copy & replace. You just have to know what you are doing.

Unblockme definitely saves a database to the data/data folder of the root. Like I said I think it depends on the app.

I download the game and played it - really cool game. I found the folder for the game - from Astro - /mnt/asec/com.kiragames.unblockme - copy that and paste to your ION, you should be good.

Thanks. But my asec folder is empty. My data is found in the root folder, at /data/data/com.kiragames.unblockme
I might try moving the game to the sdcard first to see if this helps.
Edit. If I move the game to sdcard/ internal storage, I get the folder in the asec folder. However I believe this folder only contains the app itself, not the game data. Will keep looking.

I upgrade from the SGS4g to the SGS2 tmo and I'm kinda confused about the storage directories. I'm seeing emsc, ex-sd and internal memory. I did a nandroid, call log, and sms bakups before flashing and now I can't find any of them. Thanx in advance for your time and effort.

What did u use for back up? Cmw rom manager or what? Saved files should be in there. As if u did a nandro you have saved it to ur PC/lappie. That way u can pull it from there
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
And forgot to mention as long as you don't format your external SD card you won't loose any of the data saved on it. I d/l any zips into my external that way my internal is not all bloated with a lot of stuff and slows down my phone.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
For the life of me..I cant figure out why my internal memory is so full. Any ideas in how to clear it out? No music no pics only a few apps.

Try looking at it with this program.

I found a huge directory called android.

Is that folder ok to delete? It has all my apps listed in it. That seems like all the data for all the apps.
Only delete if your want to get rid of the data. Programs store data there. Mine is huge because of the gallery app.

I installed TWRP Manager from the Play Store yesterday on my Rooted T-Mobile S4 running Insane KitKat V8. I tried to do a clasic backup, the backup was finished but it was saved to main memory, and it must of been huge as I lost almost 5GB on main memory. I am going crazy trying to find where it was saved so I can delete it. There was nothing in /0/TWRP/ except a small file. Appreciate the help.

Do you remember the name of the backup? If so, you can open es file manager and you can use the search function. Search under device.

OK. Open es file explorer and click where it says sdcard and choose device. Then click on search, type 2014 and all of the 2014 files will show up. When you find your backup just copy and paste to your twrp folder under sdcard.

Check TWRP mngr settings and confirm that main memory is internal or external.
