Supersu fc after root on kit Kat - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

I'm sorry if this is a recurring question but after update supersu force closes. I used ntk to re root after side load update. I can't even tell if I'm actually rooted. At first after rooting supersu wouldn't show up in my apps so I download it from the play store. Any help?

Do you have TWRP or CWM installed?
Download the SuperSU update, and flash through recovery.

HELP! Rooting Un rooting help

Hi, So I rooted my Galaxy Note 2 through Odin and got TWRP recovery and all... So now I got these sprint updates coming and can't install them. I understand that roms are better than these stock updates. So all I want is to un root my device so I can install these. But the problem is that the update won't install. I unrooted the note 2 by going into the superuser app and clicking full unroot. After that when I try to update, it goes ahead but then fails and brings me to TWRP recovery. What should I do? Did I unroot incorrectly?

you have to go full stock. Won't update with twrp recovery.

[Q] JSS15R ota w/Superuser, not SuperSU

Because of the SuperSU issue w/the JSS15Q ota, I installed Superuser instead. Anyone know of any issues when trying to do the JSS15R ota with Superuser installed?
I'm rooted with stock recovery. Thanks.

I just updated with supersu 1.65 with ota survival ticked. Worked just fine, it even managed to keep root.
Rooted with stock recovery

Think I'll just install SuperSU b4 OTA.

I just clicked "Install" (not using TWRP), and it worked. But you'll have to reinstall twrp and root after the update.

I'm sorry I did not say it right :/ I meant:
- I had twrp installed
- I received a notification from Google about the update
- I just clicked on "apply" or "install" (directly from Android)
- the update installed iitself, then it rebooted the device
- I lost twrp and root
- I reinstalled twrp and root
=> everything was OK.
Maybe you can try with Nexus Root Toolkit to uninstall twrp, then apply the update, and reinstall twrp+root

When I try to install it reboots and sends me to twrp I guess since I'm encrypted I have to put in password but when I do it seems like its doing its installing but it isn't it guess I'm gonna have to find a workaround

Note 2 after 4.3 won't let me root.

I updated my galaxy note 2 till 4.3 but i want to put a mod on it or a rom to give me the note 3 features on it and I don't have a pc to do it so was gonna do it via my phone my superuser keeps saying if you just upgraded to 4.3 and superuser can't install it this is an error is there away round this? It wont let me root at all. Many thanks.
Just asthe warmingsays. You need to re-root your device using a computer bud

Dude, just installing supersu app from playstore wont give you root access. You have to install su binaries in your 'system' partition. You will definitely require a pc for that..
By the way supersu is just an app to manage root permissions, it wont give u root

Just flash super su with your prefered recovery (like cwm or twrp). Download the zip from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/370/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip flash it and you'll gain root.

Rooted 4.3 but no custom recovery.

So recently updated my SGS3 rooted with CF auto root it had one issue with knox blocking the supersu. With a recent update that supersu made I was able to avoid being block and got supersu back. Not the problem is that i dont have and custom recovery I only have the stock recovery. Is there anyway. I can flash or install any custom recovery.

Check out the thread HERE.
So even I am already rooted do I use this? Or do I have to unroot?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Rom Manager does it no muss no fuss! I just done it 5 mins ago. Grab it from the store, update it then it will prompt you to install custom recovery
Sounds great that actually worked thanks
