Rooted 4.3 but no custom recovery. - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

So recently updated my SGS3 rooted with CF auto root it had one issue with knox blocking the supersu. With a recent update that supersu made I was able to avoid being block and got supersu back. Not the problem is that i dont have and custom recovery I only have the stock recovery. Is there anyway. I can flash or install any custom recovery.

Check out the thread HERE.

So even I am already rooted do I use this? Or do I have to unroot?

Rom Manager does it no muss no fuss! I just done it 5 mins ago. Grab it from the store, update it then it will prompt you to install custom recovery

Sounds great that actually worked thanks

Installing a recovery

This may be a dumb question but to install a recovery from goomanager... You have to be rooted right?
I'm stock now and trying to install a custom recovery and then flash roms... Are there any custom recoveries you can install from Odin?

You need root to install custom recoveries also to flash ROMs. You have your choice between twrp and cwm. I know twrp has Odin flashable files on their site. Easy as pie.

Is this the way by flashing a whole new stock rom with root injected? Trying to avoid that if possible.

Bah there a simple way hut trips then flash counter ( which does matter because we can clear the flash counter)
Its just say casual rooting I think. Its intended at&t development section. Its a one click deal basically. You need to be rooted to do anything with odin

HELP! Rooting Un rooting help

Hi, So I rooted my Galaxy Note 2 through Odin and got TWRP recovery and all... So now I got these sprint updates coming and can't install them. I understand that roms are better than these stock updates. So all I want is to un root my device so I can install these. But the problem is that the update won't install. I unrooted the note 2 by going into the superuser app and clicking full unroot. After that when I try to update, it goes ahead but then fails and brings me to TWRP recovery. What should I do? Did I unroot incorrectly?

you have to go full stock. Won't update with twrp recovery.

How to install supersu

I've tried millions of time to install super user.. But it keeps telling me error when it tries to update... Is it the mdl build or something else

If you're running stock, MDL blocks root access. Flash any of the custom kernels to get around the restriction and try updating again.
Thank you so much... I was wondering why it didn't work..... Yeah I was running a stock rom but now I'm using infamous S4 build

If you are on TWRP you are not still on stock recovery which should mean that you can install SuperSU from within TWRP.

Pls explain what do you mean "no CWM anymore"?
Do you see the stock recovery?
You still could flash CWM or TWRP (another recovery, my favorite I'd say) from ODIN. You need a PC with Windows XP/7/8 and Samsung USB drivers installed to do it. Instructions are available in Q&A.
I initially had cwm installed and my root was working fine.
After I got the 4.3 update via CyanogenMod I updated my phone.
It went well. But I realized that i had lost my root options so whenever I opened super su it said that there's no binary installed and that I'll have to re root again.
So I was like maybe I should just root it again with the method I used first too root my phone ( when it was running on stock ). So I used the same Odin and rooted it. Although it said it was successful the root was still unavailable.
Well I lost interest in that and I got a another update from cm and when I tried to install it I couldnt. My cwm had gone. I tried re installing it with ROM manager but it wouldn't work... I don't know what to do.

[Q] TWRP for SGH-T889 (T-Mobile Note 2)

Has anybody noticed that when you attempt to restore a rom using TWRP you get stuck at the T-Mobile boot menu? I've tested this on version 2.6.3.0 and 2.6.3.1
Hasn't happened to me but a lot of people are reporting issues with the TWRP recovery. Try CWM next time.
+1 has anyone found the answer? My twrp works fine on any other roms 4.1.1 4.1.2. As soon as I updated to 4.3 and rooted I can back up rom using twrp but when I try to restore rom it just gets into the tmobile 4g screen boot loop.

Update and install recovery through GOOManager.
Works for me (4.3 bootloader) . First time is a little slower to boot.
If you lose root after, you can follow this directions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607869
