I admire your work...really...but, as a cm7 user, I would ask if can share your findings (about gingerbread os drain issue, 720p recording, video playback and maybe something else) with cm7 dev team...whenever possible

- Can you tell us what you did to improve 720p camcorder ? I definetely see an improvement but it seems not kernel related nor a special tuning of media_profiles.xml

Chameleon is good even for a BETA!.. I love the fact that DSP manager is back! hats of to Galnet n the team for taking into consideration the feedback from users..
I can foresee lots of improvement in coming weeks, keep up the good work guys!

As I was saying previously before old thread was deleted, the cause of Android OS being high has been found and hopefully resolved.
As we haven't released a RC of Chameleon yet, all questions about how we have done this and done that will not be published until we are happy they work correctly. We don't want to cause more damage than good with temporary fixes, I hope you all understand this.

also, i am currently using 2.2.1 because of the automatic call recording function, however i would like to switch to something new... so, how does the call recording on this rom works? is it automatic, two way proper call recording? output file format?

It does not work, as with Cyanogen, I don't think it is something we will be supporting as it is illegal in most countries.

I'd like to ask, what has been the cause for the Android OS bug that caused the battery drain? Sth. related to the motion sensor? Thx!

The rom is really great and fast.
Although i noticed a few things watching the battery stats:
-Network Location is active a lot, but its turned off in settings.
-Alarm manager is working almost all the time.
-The dialer is active a lot too, i used it only one time today.
-Other processes and apps are running too much i think
(scrolling the battery stats is pretty slow and laggy, this is probably the fault of the official base rom)

As I do not have this device, I did send it out to testers and pretty sure all the kinks are worked out. If there are any I missed please be kind and respectful when reporting. Please dont report wether you dont like this rom and are going to another. This is not a competition, all roms are great in their own way..
Okay. Know issues.
*Random reboots. Temp fix is to bump min CPU up one step to 432
needs to be reset every boot. Set on boot not consistent.
* if a random reboot happens while on call.
You lose phone audio. Simply reflash build with out factory data reset will bring it back.
*MMS quick reply setting. If you use setting to wake and unlock when a message is received get a reply quickly. Screen will time out back to lock screen soon.
*Camera. Panoramic mode crashes. Don't use it.
*Aspire some times it seems widgets dissapear from the home screens. Unpredictable. Just replace them when you realize they won't return on their own.
Do Not Complain About these things or post about them. We know these things. If you do feel it necessary to post on these issues please also include a perm fix along with it.
Finding issues not listed here PLEASE include steps to recreate the problem, and a log cat if available.
Please do not post "music won't play"
This helps no one and pisses me off. Savvy?
Also I would like to have a video review on you tube if someone here can do that kind of thing. In depth review a plus

Ussd blocker will block the annoying USSD balance update popups that come up on your phone, each time you make a call or change data connectivity. This app is like a silent inbox for all your USSD popup messages.
Two main reasons to use this app:
- No usage popups especially when you don't have the time to read them, e.g after ending a call or unlocking your phone.
- USSD messages are lost once you dismiss them. So, if you are on a prepaid connection and want to know when and how you lost your balance, you can get it from your history of usage update messages in this app.
Installation:

droid bionic (targa) i have tried hitting report but it apparently oes nothing (or it does it without any notice but popup stays after hitting report)

I am on kitkat 4.4.2, it should work on any AOSP 4.1+ ROM.

This app solves the same problem as described in this XDA post.

This is really a nice concept for a module and I would like to thank you for your efforts. But there seems to be a problem as when I installed this module on my "SONY Xperia U with a stock based ROM" the module just force closes. The UI does not opens up.Kindly look into the matter and try to resolve it for me.
Also I would like to request a feature, an option to select which USSD messages to block. For example most people don't mind the after call notification.

Tried the updated version too. The force close issue has been removed. But on 4.1 and lower devices none of the USSD messages are being blocked. I am still getting after call and net change message. Please try to resolve.

Sense 6 Camera on AOSP

Sense HTC was nice enough to push camera and gallery to the market i have been working on porting it to AOSP. This is what i have done so far:

I've managed to get the Camera to take photos and save. Along with making Split, Photo booth, and Pan 360:
Now for the bad news. Zeo wont work due to how much it is depended on the sense framework. Gallery also has an authentication check to make sure the phone is an HTC phone and I'm having a hard time bypassing it.
But before i continue the work on this, i want to see how popular would it be / piratical for me to continue this mod. If there is little to no interest i don't see me continuing the process. There are a lot of 3rd party cameras that work just fine on AOSP.
I do have a zip ready for people that don't mind tinkering with it but you need to be comfortable on resorting a ROM due to possible boot-loop. This is just a proven work of concept that i would like to see grow.

Only two things keeping me on sense. The camera and beats. With @ZeroInfinity already getting a beats type mod (not the true beats driver, but makes AOSP sound livable) for our phone on AOSP (his mod is awesome on all M7, DNA, and M8 roms, sense or AOSP), HTC camera would make me go back to AOSP in a heartbeat. If you can, post in the intl One section. I am sure you would get tons of support and testers for the variants you cannot test.

Oh side note: Sense framework is available in the play store. When I was on Beanstalk, I wanted to use HTC TV and it needs the sense framework, so it installed it for me. (HTC TV is also in the play store).
Edit: I searched play store and couldn't find it. I think it is the "service pack" that allows TV to work on AOSP. I will have to nandroid my ViperOne and flash an AOSP Rom again to be sure. Will update with info.

Had to do some work to the service pack, one that is in system, to get camera to save. I updated it from market and it still wont let me do Zoe. Logs show its trying to access media server in framework-res.apk that AOSP does not have, or is using a different flag. I stopped when i found that out and focused on getting gallery to stop FC and now i have it where it asks for authorization. You can use a 3rd party gallery to see the photos you've taken with the sense cam but you cant review the photo or use the shortcut to get to gallery.
I found that another member of XDA was able to remove the authorization from gallery but couldn't get pictures to show up. I've contacted them via PM and waiting for a response on where i can get a copy / what they edited to so i mirror it to the new one that is in market. This weekend i will try harder on fixing gallery and then focus on Zoe. Once i get gallery working i will ask for some testers to help get as many logs as i can to figure this all out.
I wish logcat would show what they are doing to authenticate gallery so i can fix it, but that would be to easy.... :silly:

The Zoe feature is the only thing HTC has ever made that keeps me from switching to ASOP. I would be grateful if you could figure it out.

I'll bug him.

I caught a nasty bug over the holidays that i am still battling and haven't touched this at all. Attached is a link to what i have so far. I would only recommend flashing if you are comfortable with restoring due to it not being fully functional. (this should not remove any camera that you already have on the device. it should be perfectly safe to keep on the device and continue using the stock camera. But please NANDROID in case of instabilities.)
As of right now this will work on GPE and Pure AOSP. CM did some tweaking to their hardware keys that make this FC. I will try to get it working on CM at a later date. Also, do not try and use Zoe feature. it will close the camera and you will have to go to settings > apps > camera and wipe data to get it to stop.
Message to DEVS. If you would like to continue and try to fix what i could not do. Please feel free to do so. i only ask for a shout out to the original work.

It has notifications right now but only for activities (not for directs, lives and etc.)

Great idea looking forward to this. Do you guys plan on making other apps like facebook, twitter or are you gonna stick with this one and see how it goes?

We will not stick to one thing.
We have a roadmap and our next step is working on our new version of DENNA (our old to-do app) but we will keep developing WinstaApp and our GMaps Client app "WinGo Maps".
About Facebook and Twitter, I think no. We are mostly working on projects that didn't come to W10M or Doesn't have an updated client. But maybe later we work on them too

Camera Error
I installed this app today in my Lumia 1020. Than I started camera through it, the camera started to show green image after a while, I was not able to see with the camera. Its the same thing, Even with the default camera app. Than I restarted my phone, And everything was fine, than after about 5 hours my main camera stoped to display anything. The screen turns black when I open the main camera through any app, though the front camera is working fine. I gave many restart and soft reset to phone but still my problem is not solved, do anyone have a solution for my problem..

that's hardware issue. maybe camera connector is disconnected from the board or maybe your camera lens having issue.
you should go to some care center.

No it's not an Hardware issue.

Now, after re-installing this app, I realized that there's something wrong with this app.
As soon as I opened the camera section in this app, the screen turned out green as it happened previously, effects were same in the default camera as well, until I restarted the device.
Are you trying an uncommon approach to display camera outputs in this app? which could possibly forcing the hardware to do lot of work.

I don't have a Telegram app. Where can I download this app?
