ROM
Right on, Good Job guys
Wow thanks for this . I remember running your roms back when I had a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon . Good to see you here .
all options are not in the new base yet.. we are working on it just wanted to get this out here for you guys I know you have been waiting to try it
@kejar31
I see the thread says ATT, and as far as I know the only difference between ATT all the Canadian models is the fact that the kernel needs to be loki'd for ATT and not for CAN
Is this kernel pre-loki'd?
If so is it possible to make one that isn't pre-loki'd so the north can try this out?
I'll gladly test it for you
--
Until I get a reply I found out Ktoonz has a CAN 4.4 kernel that I'll try and flash
For others its located : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2289140
I would imagine the CAN flash would be ROM -> GAPPS -> NEW KERNEL
Will try and report back
---
It worked, although some hiccups check my post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47418504&postcount=120

what options are those?
Being based on CM11, does it have the same issues as the port in the 9505 section?

I used to run aosp based roms on my old phones, but haven't yet on my s4. think i might give this a go, though. Could always go back if I end up missing too many samsung features.
I noticed on the tmo release that got posted in the cm 10 thread and with this build that the music players are playing music at a slower speed. No complaining just some info i thought id share. But 4.4 looks like its goin to be saaaweeeeet!
No music player issues here

Hmmmm thought it was weird that i was having it on 2 different builds and with the stock and power amp players. I also tried with my music on internal and ext sd and had the same results any ideas?
Edit:
I am playing music over bt headphones wonder if thats the culprit?
Same here BT is staticky.

I posted a build that is more stable(I think). It's an older build(by 2 days) but everything works better. There are absolutely no feature changes between the two. Just a difference in the device repo changes that were made. It's the link to my personal build in the OP. Well as soon as this RIL getting hosed issue is resolved that I am having, I will get a build posted. It seems that most 4.4 roms are having this issue, so this fits in well with those. Otherwise all sensors and cam is working. I wont post a build that is going to hose someones RIL.
anyone here REALLY comfortable with fastboot and adb pm me for testing. I need someone who will be going into this knowing that they are running the risk of having use fastboot and adb to recover their device and are comfortable doing so without any direction.

Seems to be a common issue with many KK ROMS. Check the Beanstalk forum; I believe there was some dialogue going on there about it.
Some folks using 64gig SD cards in the s3 forums said they needed to reformat their cards using fat32. My sdcard is fat32 and I have no issues on the note 2.

Been trying this out all morning and haven't had any issues with the camera.
To the dev: Very nice and smooth ROM. There is still enough custom stuff here to tweak enough and make people happy. With xposed, you can make this your own ROM. Nice job.

I found that, whenever I made any calls, the screen goes black and I can't get back to any softkeys until the call ends. Really odd behavior.
Initial release is preferred to most recent nightly. The settings force closes when trying to set lock screen targets.
FIX: This error can be fixed by installing the KK Xposed framework and installing gravity box

It's very smooth, and for myself very stable. It doesn't have all the "Bells and Whistles" that other Roms do, but with Xposed you can get it running that way anyways. Only thing that is really "missing" for me is Halo. The xposed module works nice enough, but it's just not the same. XD

No. Download SELinux switcher from play store and set mode to permissive. Then it will recognize the modem. (You'll notice under about phone modem is unknown until it's set to permissive, then the modem will show up normally).

Clean ass ROM!
Everything is working for me.
The only major problem I have is the red sensor light stays on after a phone call. Thus, draining the battery significantly.
However, a work around is rebooting the phone every time you make a phone call.
Which sucks

Re-flashing the rom fixed this. Smarter people than I could tell you why, but it worked.
Are there any audio tools like Boeffla, voodoo, etc that work for boosting the volume? If not any kernels available that work for this clean rom? I am using noozoxide but need that boost. Also this rom is on point, no problems with anything so far!

I'll give it a whirl. Are you an official maintainer or is this an unofficial port?
Seems pretty basic, with a few twists added as per OP.
FYI the default governor is Performance, so you might wanna change that unless you want to run your battery down on full throttle.
Seems like a pretty nice ROM, but it's not for me. I am going back to Vanir but thanks for sharing.
I'm the official maintainer.

Nice job papi, good to see you around these parts
Thanks Guys. We are working on a BIG CHANGE soon. It should really help us get into the talk of best ROMs

Looks great thanks for sharing. I'll try this out tonight!
No EXT SD CARD
I flashed the rom and like everything I see so far except I cannot access my SD Card. I see the internal card - not the external one.
Something I can do? (I know this was fixed in CM wonder why I am having issues?)
I did a clean flash - maybe I missed something else?
EDIT - I flashed the custom AOSP Kernel that Temesak Created and that fixed my problem - I am now able to see the External SD Card. Not sure if there is a better solution for the missing SD Card - suggestions are appreciated. Maybe it's just me having the issue?

Too me ever cm asop ioap etc is a best ROM in its own way it the one or two bad eggs that bash and feel making people look stupid is what bring down the ROM if everyone would help and respect everyone all we would have is number ones across the board! Lot more respectful user in asop then tw! With that been said much alohas papi and team for your work!

I will look into this. I will be updating the kernel either today or tomorrow. I believe cm just added in EX FAT into their kernel so I can use their commit.

One more thing - when I tried to use Titanium - root check failed - all rooted aps did the same thing.
I had to install SuperSU (flash) to get root working again
Great work. I will download and try it when I get home.

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

These davlik optimizations... its in the Nexus 4 thread. They do work on other qualcomm devices correct ?
So with the ROM all is working well save for a few mods. It seems if I try to make status bars mods settings closes. All the other ones seemed to be fine. I'll try to get a log cat

Yes indeed. The qualcomm optimized davlik should work on any S4 variant. I generally run it on my vzw S4 but right now im using ART as Vanirs been making some optimizations in the last build that make the phone a badass.
can I restore my app using TBU with this ROM ?

This rom is awesome, I just had something I noticed yesterday though.
While I had active notifications on playing youtube through chromecast, the screen kept flickering on and off taking me to the lockscreen. Other than that, I have no complaints.

At the moment, Navigation bar hasn't been worked in for s4 variants since there are hardware keys.

Very nice ROM guys... 2 bugs to report. 1. Haptic feedback is inconsistent. 2. When customizing the notification tiles, the changes don't stick. Just letting you know if you didn't already. If ya did, i apologize. Keep up the great work though!

I noticed you are using KT kernel but no Ktweaker. I tried flashing the AOSP KT kernel but would not boot. After dirty flashing to get the stock kernel back I looked again and noticed the build is KOT49H. Is this based off of a Google Edition base. If so then I know why the phone would not boot. Other than not being able to tweak and play it looks like a solid ROM.
Never mind. I noticed there is an occasional boot hang issue with this ROM. I had to force close and reboot to get it to boot on the stock kernel. So I tried the AOSP KT kernel again and it booted ok.
Never mind. Definatly a modified KT kernel. Way to many issues using the standard KT kernel. Will there be a version of you kernel that will come with the Ktweaker App.
