no need to search any further, it says "evita" in the bootloader so you definitely have the one xl, and you are also in the wrong forum

As per any sources I've seen online, the HOX is supposed to ship with 32GB storage, ~25GB user available. However, this does not seem to be the case with my phone, as seen in the screenshot below.
Am I looking at the wrong place? Do these numbers not represent what I think they represent? Or was I mistakenly given a unit with 16GB storage and that I should request an exchange?
This phone was purchased under contract from Singtel, in Singapore, if that changes anything.

Hi Mate is this screenshot of the One X as your icons etc are completely different to mine. It may be because im still running stock but the icons on the screenshot above look to be honeycomb icons? If this is the one X mine states
Total Space 25.24Gb
See mine...unfortunately, the xda premium app has gone crazy...doesnt allow to upload pics easily lately....
EDIT : Pic is not showing up.... mine is 25 GB as stated by above person.

Mine is 25 gb as well

I believe the US model had only 16 GB as well as using the dual-core snap dragon instead of the Tegra 3. Maybe you have a US model.
If you go into Settings - About - Hardware Information, what does it say under Processor?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Out of the 32gb , you have around 2gb of internal memory and 25gb of external memory, the rest is used by the operation system.
John.
Why is the image only 360 × 640 ?...
Yes, the Krait S4 version of the HOX only comes with 16GB storage while the Tegra 3 version comes with 32GB.
Hi, thanks for all the quick replies!
I have attached the screenshot of the hardware information screen, plus HTC is advertising all over Singapore, on all of them saying that this features Tegra 3, first QC in the world blabla, so I doubt I have a S4 variant.
The screenshots are taken natively by voldown + power, so I have no idea why their resolution is so much lower.
Possibly related, apparently my phone has been loaded with the bloatware of all 3 telcos in SG, plus all those in Malaysia.
Could someone from SG do a cross-referencing for me? If I'm not wrong, f13ry_1ce resides here as well.
You buy yours from sim lim?
From your pic you should have the 32gb HOX. Email [email protected] maybe they will replace your device for you.

Here in Malaysia telco's fortunately do not have any of their own bloatware. They still come with the HTC stuff that's really stupid though. What's the point of installing HTC Watch on a phone with a software version for Asia if you're not going to let us use the damn thing.
Also, very weird that you have so little storage. Check it out with your warranty supplier.
Just got a reply. They prompted me to do a factory reset, which I did. Guess what. The total storage turned into 25.24Gb! Never knew factory resets could do such wonders.
Thanks for your help, guys!
Purchased a HTC DGH 100(good old media link) last week off ebay after checking if its compatible with HTC one X and was under the impression that it is compatible but plays media in a lower resolution.
Received it today and tried pairing it with my Htc one X (i was so excited that I literally wanted to jump) and after trying for nearly an hour, I gave up and called up HTC customer service.
Spoke to a nice lady(sarcasm) over the phone who initially said to me "We are sorry sir, but we do not provide troubleshooting support for HTC Media Link". After a few mins of a heated argument regarding how crappy their customer service is, I finally got to speak to speak to her manager who was very nice(sarcasm again) and told me that htc media link is not compatible with htc one x and after showing them this link
http://www.htcaccessories.com.au/DG_H100.aspx
where "under category and cables" it mentioned htc one x, they agreed that there was a mistake on their website. I have been advised by HTC that they will try getting back to me with a resolution and advised me "we are not promising you anything" like they are warning me.
Will update the post soon with their resolution or any updates on this but just wanted to tell every one pathetic the HTC customer service is.
Crap, and they still havn't fixed the site
their customer service is really bad
i wudnt be surprised if they dont get back to me or fix up their website given how bad they were on the phone.
That's is terrible, HTC should really pull thier fingers out of their backsides and get the accessory released, I've had the dock, media link on order from amazon for 6 weeks now and they have failed to supply them.
I think you have grounds for a refund as it dosent work as advertised, have you contacted the seller?.
Also if it is DLNA can you not try one of the DLNA streaming apps from the marketplace?

I have contacted the seller but can't blame him as he asked me to check with HTC regarding the compatibility before I buy it. I asked if HTC could do anything to fix it or replace it with media link hd, but they said that they won't and after threatening them about taking this on fb,Twitter etc.. they said they will look into it. Lol, funny how I never use fb/Twitter unless I have a complain against some organization

The problem with imediashare is that my tv doesn't have DLNA n the so called media link has a closed software/hardware that doesn't lt the one x connect to media link using any other hardware. They better come up with a resolution or I am going the galaxy way

Your not the first and won't be the last, I'm also thinking of changing, unless htc get s-off and actually release updates to the UK I'm out probo for good. So near yet so far.... The older medialink should be compatible end of there is no excuse for it to be incompatible with future models. Because of this thread I think I will be cancelling my media link as it won't be compatible with future models.

HTC calls me and tells me that media link is compatible and when I ask them to help me fix it, they give up and request for more time to come up with a resolution.
On a sidenote, they are yet to fix up their mistake on the website and worse, they have added a few more phones to the list(like sensation, explorer etc) that I think may not be compatible.
Good going HTC(pun intended)!

Update 15 may 2012
Got a call back again and was asked to update the firmware which I did already. I was then asked to give out the imei of my handset to which I denied and then I was told to provide them with the software/firmware version of one x. After telling them that I have one device with 1.29 and the other with 1.26, they came up with a crappy excuse that it only works with 1.28!!!I then told them that it was ridiculous and they had no idea as to what they were talking and were coming up with crappy excuses. They then advised me that they can only help if I gave them the imei number and when I requested them to put that line in writing and email me so that I could use it for legal purposes I was advised that they will call me tomorrow to help me fix the problem.
Luckily Australian laws are consumer friendly and if not resolved in a few days, I am knocking the doors of the consumer affairs.

Getting HTC One X working with Media Link
If you upgrade the firmware on the Media Link, this should work.
Steps:
1. Download the HTC Media Link ROM Update for HTC Desire HD (1.11.0.0)
(You have to search for this, as I don't have the right to post links in the forums yet)
2. Hold the power button on the Media Link and then plug it into your PC using the included USB cable. After 2-3 seconds, it should start flashing orange and green.
3. Open the Media Link ROM Update executable file.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen until the Media Link has been updated to ROM version 1.11.0.0
5. Plug in Media Link to TV and use as normal.
Hi guys,
I just got a new HTC One X for my brother and found some interesting things. First, the phone only has 16GB on board memory (indicated on the box). Second, the phone has SN starting with SH29BW (new production batch). Third, the phone came with 4.0.4 update preinstalled.
I also notice that the build is 100% perfect, no hardware issue (Wifi works perfectly) inside out. I contacted the seller and he said HTC no longer produces 32GB version of the S720e.
I found this one is interesting and wanna share with every one

The one you have is from the package with a headset. Seller take it out and sell the phone separately.
The other type of box is a white square one. This is the stand-alone version of the phone (without the headset).
My box is black and smaller than the 2nd one. And the box indicates HTC India
PS: I am in US, Minnesota and got the phone from a Yankee seller

Let me tell you why. Like it's not enough that they pirate devices, people support them! I don't get it! Sorry If I sounded rude, it just pis*es me off (not you, the ones that pirate ). You know, the guys over at HTC invested so much effort and time in this device and....nevermind. You can ask for custom roms and root on XDA's General or "Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking" section. Most of the chinese fake phones got their root exploits from there.
I'd feel such a bellend with a cloned chinese device.
Won't you feel stupid when people say, "Is that a One X" and you have to sit there and explain no, its a "iHTC One X EX"?
Like, WTF?

Yes they call it ics....with a non ics version number and a non existing bootloader number and non existing strange cid number ....etc.... etc.... etc.....
I don't know mate ive seen all these devices if its what you can afford none of us can say anything. You will limit yourself on roms. Various compatibility. I don't agree these devices shoudnt exist. Phone manufacturers make a lot of money not only sim free but contract providers etc. They do overcharge for what they are made for
But if someone uses it and they know the x they will spot it instantly
Main point though it limits you mate and it will never have the power of the original

Oh really!!!
They sell S-off chips in China, what they do is replace the S-on chips with the S-off ships [hardware mods]
At least thats how they explained to me...I got an S-off device, same as a s-on locked device but you can flash RUUs....any RUUs
AW: Taiwanise One X - Can I S-OFF ?
Wait. So you say they replace a soldered IC (I guess the radio chip) to give one s-off?! This is kinda ridiculous, isn't it? Not that I don't believe you, but e.g. where should they purchase s-off'd chips? Also, it's very inefficient, at least it does sound so.
Never heard anything like that either.

Okay even though I am pretty sure I will get to nowhere I am trying to put all the pieces together to see what's needed to S-OFF this bad boy, or at least what is supposed to be needed.
What exactly is a Javacard and what role it plays in this case?
I have found two DIAG files somewhere here on the One X forum. How do I determinate whether they are legit and the right ones?
Has anybody tried this guy method http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10824156715 ?
Looks like it's about $20 to $25, I could certainly give it a try..
I've seen on Chinese xda that a few people have used above method with success.

They replace these if you screw up your HOX, some suppliers in China sell already S-offed chips.
There is also a gold/platinum sd-card, which is apparently used to s-off devices....they did not include an s-off method but the cost is pretty steep.
Maybe someone on here with some knowledge can explain....I already have an s-off device
I dont think so you can S-Off.
