Bear Motion Cases

Anyone have any experience with Bear Motion cases? I hadn't heard of them before...

I got the blue one a few days ago.
It's a really good case, as good as the Incipio feather cases. The texture on it is very grippy, the only thing it's missing is a hole for the dimple.

I've got one showing up today, I can't wait to get it on there. This thing is just too slick on it's own and for under $5 you can't go wrong.

Yup, that's it. I would say the blue looks darker than the amazon pic in real life.

They are OK. One I had for the HTC One just cracked one day. cheap but feel decent.

what kind of material is the case? Is it a hard or soft plastic? TPU?

Does the dimple really matter? I have never put my finger on the famous dimple when holding my phone.

i have the unbranded one. it's pretty much perfect.

I bought the wife a Bear Motion Premium Double Protection PC + TPU Case from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EC2QKYC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the rubber seems a little thin but over all great performance in the first week.

Looks similar but yours is only the plastic part? Mine was two pieces. One rubber and one plastic.

just got mine in yesterday.
WOW! i love it. hardly feels like i have a case on this phone. really does a great job at retaining the slim factor of the phone. why can't they make more cases like these??

I purchased 3 of the Bear Motion cases. Black, gray and blue. I really love the sleekness of the case but I wish they would have more of a lip on the screen side.
The other problem that I see is that the upper right hand corner could have a better fit. The blue case that I received will eventually "pop" out of that corner.

These 2 look ok but I would love a premium slim bumper...
Upset the Google "bumper" is just a case this year! Love the phone grip and I wouldn't want to cover the back.... Someone please release a premium bumper!

I ordered the i-blason one from amazon. If you go to their website the pictures of the white one on the phone look pretty good. And reviews are pretty decent for their iPhone bumper. I've had the Poetic one for my Galaxy Nexus and it was a piece of crap. I got the official nexus 5 gray "bumper" and I don't like it at all

Sadly, all three of the available bumpers on Amazon (iBlason, Abacus, Poetic) look like junk to me. But they are cheap in price at least. I would not buy the Poetic one based on the terrible build quality of their N4 bumper last year.
Hopefully the cut-outs are good for these N5 bumpers, especially for the speaker/mic on the bottom...Since the N4 speaker was on the back last time, so we didn't have to worry about the bumper cutout for that.
I wish someone from China just made a replica Nexus 4 bumper fitted for the taller Nexus 5. I put my Nexus 4 bumper on top of the Nexus 5 and it definitely still adds to the sexy-factor.
The best combination for protection and looks to me would be a front + back screen protector & bumper like I had my N4 equipped. The problem with the N5 is that I am not sure a back screen protector would look good on it or even be advisable. LG doesn't even ship the matte soft-touch back with a protector on it, unlike the glass N4.

Copy of official bumper case?

I am looking for a case like the official bumper case.
Is there anything like that? I want something soft since it obviously offers the most protection during a drop. But the only one I know so far is that Cruzerlite Bugdroid, but that pattern on the back makes it look so cheap, doesn't work with the phone at all. I'd just like something minimalistic like the phone. The official one is great but since it's rather expensive I'm looking for alternatives.

Spigen Neo Hybrid. Looks great and feels good in my hand.
Stay away from the Spigen Silent Armor though. That one has many problems with the power button alignment

We're just gonna have to wait like we did with the Nexus 4 bumper replicas.

I have tried the Spigen Neo Hybrid in Champagne Gold. It looks really fantastic, the protection is very solid. It just added a bit too much bulk for my taste and I will receive the bumper case next week to compare it with.

Thanks for the infos on the Spigen ones! I am looking for something more simple though. They feel so overly designed to me, I really would like something completely minimalistic, just like the original case.

They were never as good as the OEM ones though, and I had both with my N4. OEM ftw (albeit very expensive!)

I thinks this one is the original one as it's selling $35 too, the replica one it's only $14 after discount. How's the Ringke Fusion?

Who knows for the Nexus 5 bumper case though. Maybe the replicas will be better given the staining and peeling problems that you hear a bunch about with the OEM bumper case.

Couldn't agree more with the staining, Got a gray one from Play Store and was stained within a week. Was planning to reorder a black one and now I think I'll wait for reviews of the Shenit version.

I ordered a red one looks like it will be a good month or so before it comes in... I'll give you guys a review when it comes in.

Dont buy original, after paying such a handsome amount you will end up with a case which has not a perfect fit, which happened in my case atleast. The lower of the case is not hugging the phone unlike the other sides

Im using the ringke fusion atm and im rly satisfied! Only thing i dont like is that the headphone hole is to small for some of the jacks....

MYBAT (generic eBay TPU) case

I picked this up as a quick case solution since it seems the big names rushed to market and most of the cases I wanted have quality issues. I must say I'm glad I did. This is the thinnest and cleanest TPU case I've ever had. Very little added bulk and there's no ugly flash or edges around the case. Definitely a solid case to use while the big names get their stuff straightened out.

Thanks for sharing. A point of clarification, though- when you say there is "no ugly flash", do you mean that this case has a conservative design, or do you mean that this case does not suffer from the "ugly flash" problem?
The "ugly flash" problem happens with some cases installed, where the flash bounces off the flash cutout and reflects back into the camera lens, creating awful photos when flash is used.

There is a Fosmon case on eBay for 2 bucks cheaper that looks practically identical. Translucent glossy. I have the teal and it's great.

looks interesting, how do the buttons feel?
i have the spigen neo hybrid, it's great but i was skeptical about $20 for bassically a tpu case, and it is more broad than i would like and the tpu is matte which makes it very slick. the only grip i get is on the bumper. not that i'm gonna switch but this could be better value.

It appears so. Looks weird since the LG logo isn't in the center of the phone.

Slickwraps Nexus 5 Full Body Decals

Slickwraps sent me one of these units for review purposes and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Pretty solid unit. Might order one of them in black.

Are these decals popular for phones? I remember some companies released them for the iPhone 3G/3GS a few years ago but I never personally researched into them until a while ago.

Just looking at the dbrand and xgear threads here in XDA, I'd say they are pretty popular. I've never heard of the brand before, but after looking at their website, these appear to be pretty comparable to the dbrand skins and xgear skins. To give credit where its due, Slickwraps does have a much larger selection of colors than either of the other 2 skin brands. They even have a glow in the dark one, which is really cool and some glittery ones for the ladies (or guys, if that's your thing ). Great find, OP. :good:
Edit: It also appears that they're made in the US if that matters to anyone.

Comrade, I noticed on some of the pictures from their website, the nexus cutout on the back seems a little...off. On the nexus logo, the letters are all supposed to be lines of the same thickness, but some of the images appear to be thicker on the "S" or perhaps thinner on the "nexu". Are you noticing this with your review skin? I couldn't really tell from the video.

In my experience the Nexus cut out was spot on. Perhaps they fixed the issue before they sent me my unit.
I'm not even exaggerating when I say how impressed I am by the accuracy of the cutouts. They were extremely accurate, down to the less than 1mm diameter microphone at the top.

The phone is a little more slippery than the stock feeling of the phone but not to the point where it falls out of your hand.

I thought so, because the carbon fiber color is somewhat different than the one from dbrand or stickerboy.
But, actually I prefer their color. Their red carbon fiber and dark brown leather are very nice.
Is their quality comparable to the 3M Di-Noc one? Anyone can share their experience? Do they leave residue when remove?

I have had a few for my Pebble and I have replaced a couple due to deep scratches that the skin protected my Pebble from. When I removed them there was no residue to speak of at all.

I just got my Nexus 5 wrap and WOW! This is the most precise wrap.
Yes, I believe they use 3M DiNoc. It had a 3M backing. Also, they have a live chat feature and I asked them and they said it's all 3M DiNoc.
