Hi All,
I have a brand new Xperia M and callers are complaining that they can hear their own voice.
Has anyone encountered the problem with the phone and know how to resolve it? I tried playing with some sound/voice settings but with no luck.

Sounds like a hardware issue take it to a Sony centre for them to check

Its a network issue for sure. i got this type of things in past.
I dosabled 'Noise reduction' under 'Call settings' and it seems better now. I need to test it deeply, and if the problem still will be there, I'll send it to Sony.
I cannot complain about my network range or quality, all other phones are woking good.

G'day everyone.
There seems to be a common fault with some of my friends, and my HTC Desire A8183, when you answer a call while the phone is in standby, the microphone seems to be muted, you can hear the other people, but they couldn't hear you?
Has anyone else experienced this problem, regardless whether it's a Telstra Desire or not? I hope someone can help If it's any help, 2 of the phones are running rooted Official Froyo with the latest radio, and the others are running a stock Tel$tra branded Eclair, with stock radio.
NB: And before you blast me for not using the search button, I couldn't use it, due to it saying "Search function is not available".

sorry mate - have no such trouble on Telstra with my A8183.
Haven't experienced it but have seen posts elsewhere of a problem that involves the caller still hearing a ringtone whilst you can hear them speaking.
I've suffered with this same problem for months had 4 replacement phones 2 new sim cards 4 sd cards and thought i would never solve it. The answer is to switch to 2g only or 3g only not 3g preferred, since changing mine i've not had any problems. Hope this helps .
SOLVED! It seems to be a glitch with the Sense lock screen. When Nolock is on or if its running a sense less ROM, it works fine.
Try these if you blokes have this problem.

I have seen that there are people with a similar problem but mine is different
I read through all their threads and none of their solutions worked
My defy works perfectly after i reboot for the first two to three calls there after as son as you hit dial the call immediately ends.
I have tried various Roms and baseband options but still the problem persists.
Does anyone have any idea whatsoever going on?

i'm using cm7.2(JellyBread v3.0) when receiving calls from a cellphone number i have no problems with that, but when receiving calls from a telephone land-line number i encountered problems, when answering the calls from the telephone land line number i hear no sounds as in total silence, even my own voice i can't be heard from the phone and it happened to me twice, my question is the problem has to do with the rom that i am using? or is it just a problem with the call connection?

I'm using JellyBread since version 2.0 (from November 2012), never had this type of problem, and this is a very good room, fast and stable.

man, same with me!! i'm having exact problem with you, this problem make me crazy.. not only on jellybread, i have encountered it on many different custom rom.. i still doesn't know how to fix this.. i also find someone can help me to troubleshoot this problem.
Maybe there is a problem with your baseband. I use the same rom and i never had any probs

Have you tried to reinstall the ROM?
Sounds like a problem with your service provider... Had the same trouble, but also in other phones... Try another phone, and you should know enough...
Hi folks. I have recieved my mobile yesterday. I have given the network selection as Auto Mode. And while i was browsing in 3g mode and if i recieve a call, some times its creating a small disturbance. I noticed this especially when the signal is switching automatically from H+ to normal 2G network. Any one have come across this issue or am i the only one?
Yes i have the same problem, but i don't found any solution.
It happens randomly. If you could, try with anather sim. I don't have another one.

I tried with another sim, same issue. Agreed it is coming at random timings.
Have you solved it? In my case, after the last update, the metallic noise is a bit quite, but it is still there

A similar issue although not 100% the same, I get audio playback jitters occasionally and I feel its related to how it loads data from the network or thru wifi.
I've also noticed that when I'm at work, the phone will sound jittery during a call when I'm at the fringe of my wifi coverage. Turning off wifi instantly cleared up the conversation.
So, do you think It is an hardware issue or software issue?

Hello guys,
I just got a new LG G4 812 Canadian version. There is one thing that I noticed so I was wondering whether this issue is happening just to me or not. While talking on Facebook Messenger, Viber or Skype and using the ear speaker the call quality is bad and I can even hear like cracking noises at times. However, when using the earphones or the rear speaker the quality is perfect. This is not happening when using the regular calls over the cell network, meaning the ear speaker is working fine. I have also tried using different WIFI access points and also cell connection, but it is the same. Can you please give me some comments on that? Thanks

Hi @freddyharjanto. Nope, the issue is still there. I thought that after upgrading to 10n it will be fine but its again the same. Now at least we know that its not just mine or just your device...meanwhile if you find what is the problem please post it here. I will do the same. Cheers.
Same problem here... (LG g4 H815 european version MM) Wifi works like a charm in general.. But when i make video calls using FB messenger or viber i get "weak connection" and poor call quality even though wifi signal indicator is full.... HEEELP
