Hello all,
This handset doesn't seem to have its own area so I've posted in the General area. Hope this doesn't break forum protocol!
I am hoping someone can assist – I have a Huawei Ascend P1 LTE U9202L-1. I had my first Huawei handset for almost a year before it started demonstrating odd behavior: Basically, whether the phone was in use or not, it would reboot back to the PIN lock-screen at random times. If I was using the phone, it'd freeze and then reboot and when I wasn't using it, it'd go through the boot sequence and I could hear the Huawei start-up jingle in the background…
The carrier, EE have been pretty good with this - my original handset was 'repaired' or rather, software re-applied but it started happening again when I got it back. The handset was then swapped out for a new unit + battery and this behaves the same way. I’ve also swapped the SIM.
I've just got back from a holiday in an area had no 4g coverage. The phone didn't do its random thing at all. As soon as I got home and it picked up a 4g cell, it started again.
I’ve run aLogrec from Play and captured a log when a reboot occurred: The only issue is, I’ve no idea how to interpret the results in LogcatViewer… Can anyone assist? Its really frustrating and unfortunately EE don’t seem to be able to help on the high level technical stuff…
I've attached the log that was recording during the reboot.
If anyone has any ideas, I’d be really grateful!

Had similar problems. I upgraded to 'HUAWEI Ascend P1 LTE firmware(U9202L,Android 4.0,V100R001C00B120CUSTC00D003,General Version)'
h**p://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=14401
Follow instructions in zip
All now well :victory:
As far as i understood Johnny had a device with a branding of EE... so this upgrade won't work, because this is a stock version! Or am i wrong? I'm not a pro in those things
Gesendet von meinem U9202L-1 mit Tapatalk
By the way, i have the same problem with a device branded by EE... but i live in Germany and there's no support here.
Gesendet von meinem U9202L-1 mit Tapatalk
I think the branding doesn't matter. If you flash it, as long as I know, you'll only lose the "apps" installed by the carrier and anything else put by the carrier.
If you do it, I think it would be wise to so a backup of the APN

ok, i rooted my device yesterday and there's this original B120 version of Huawei Support... How can i flash it? Do i need a special program for this like KIES for Samsung? Maybe i find an answer in the forum

Hi, I am in a very tight spot and very high strunge right now. My brand spanking new HTC One X(I got it in the mail 3 days ago) appears to have bricked itself. It is completely stock, never rooted, and the only two apps I had on it were apex launcher and widget locker. The other night I decided since I'd been able to play with it for a bit I'd go ahead and update the software(it had an update available out of the book). OMFG. Everything was fine till I hit install and even then it looked fine until the install was complete and it went to reboot. This thing got stuck in the most vicous boot loop I've ever seen. It just got stuck rebooting over and over for right four hours before I was able to shut it down. It got so hot I couldn't hold it. I was worried I was going to get to watch my brand new $600 dollar phone melt before my eyes. Anyway I finally got it to turn off, either be it do to low battery or instability caused from excess heat and today when I tried to turn it for the first time came on but it just got stuck on the first screen didn't even make it to the boot animation. I held the power and luckily it shut off. I tried again and it won't even turn on now. I really need some help guys... This is my only phone. I had to dig out my old iTouch and use wifi to just get on xda. What should I do about this!? I'm so stressed right now... Please... Please... Help...
3 day old brand new phone?
Return it.
Either get your money back or get it replaced.
Why are you stressed? Stuff breaks, be glad it was in the first 3 days!
I wish I would have more knowledge to help you out.
Shut the phone down by holding power for 10 seconds. Then start it with Vol down and power. Let's see first what you get.

Help, help, help, help... Got it to come back on by plugging it into my charger for a bit it went into the same exact boot loop that you can't shut down in. Lucky the battery died quickly this time it didn't have time to get hot, but good god this needs to get fixed ASAP and I don't have any idea what to do. I'm actually in a hospital right now and will be here for awhile it looks like, so needless to say I can't use my pc or probably would have figured it out on my own already instead of begging for help.
I guess you did update with low battery... Did you try what I wrote before? Volume down and power at the same time when you plug in usb.

I didn't try it with a low battery... It was 70% when i started the update. The update was completed in 15 min without interuption. The bootloop started the second the update finished. the bootloop went on for 4 hours before it would even shut down and I held the power button for more then ten seconds some time and when it would shut down it immediately turned back on on it's own. When I tried turning it on today I intentially didn't charge it long just for the reason. And I haven't tried the power and volume yet(I can't reach the out let to plug in in, as I'm attached to an IV) me getting sick and this phone dying the first night at the hospital couldn't have happened at a worse time.

I can't I am in the hospital... Two days after getting my new phone my sore throat turned into mono so bad I can't drink water even. I'm on an IV and can't even reach the nearest out let let alone get to a computer and then ship this phone back. It's the only line of communication I had in here. Lucky I convinced my mom who was visiting me to drive home and get my old iPod. That's all I have right now.
But you can put it in charger before right? Put it in and then try Vol down and power at the same time.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
I had my mom plug in/turn on for me. I can't have her try the down vol and power(shes very tec illiterate and strugged just to turn it on. I had to plug it in for her and then she walked the whole charger over to the outlet and help it out so i could see what it was doing)as I can't see what's on the screen very well from 10 feet or so it wouldntbe worth trying to get her to try the key combo. Hopefully I can get a family member to bring me a short extension cord but until then I can't try it. What is the idea with what that's supposed to do? Does it by bass fast boot or completely resent the phone or?
Well I thought we could get in bootloader mode to factory reset the phone. Maybe it should work then. I can't think of another step. Not being such a pro on this sorry mate.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
Thanks just the same... I'm going to try the key combo before the night is through as I have an extension cord on the way. If I can do a factory reset I'm guessing I'll need to re enter my APN setting yes? This is such an inconvient timing of events. I'm gonna need someone to run home and get my notes for the proper apn for my network since this is an international phone I'm using in the us.
Can't you find the apn in the net? Let's hope we can get your phone work first then we'll see about apn.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
This doesn't look real promising... I got the cord, started it to the boot loader and eyerything is locked/disabled. Why would this thing have a locked boot loader when it's the unlocked international version?
And for the past 15 min it's said checking SD card update at the bottom of the boot loader menu. I'd say I either got a corrupted file or it something else went wrong during the down load that wasn't evident because it looked like that part went fine when I did the update.
You're on stock that's why it's shown locked and the checking sd thing... Are you in fastboot usb? Should be underlined in red
If there is fastboot usb written in red do following. Plug of the charger press power one time move down to factory reset and power again. Let's see what's happening.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
It didn't show any alternative boot options. Then I unplugged the charger and it showed up. I went down and I used the factory reset. It's working now except I need to re due my apn, i lost all my contacts, and Ill need to re download/set up apex along with widget locker.
At least it's working now. I guess you saved your contacts on gmail so this won't be a problem either. Apn search the net. Apex you have to do again yea.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
glad its fixed! apn settings should be avaiable from google, gmail should automatically load your contacts. enjoy your 1x and get well soon
Ya except I didn't synce my contacts with gmail. Like I said I just bout this phone and I transferred my old contacts via blue tooth so I'll need to do that again. I dont mind doing apex and wig locker again but retyping the apn will not be fun. Thank you though for your help. I really appreciate it. You don't have any guesses as to why it went into that boot loop do you or how I can avoid it happening again? I rather like to have up to date software so that's gonna be a problem if it does that again. How about my CPU and battery? Do you think they're damaged after how hot it got in that boot loop and for how long?
Hi,
I rooted my One x about a month ago and all was great using ARHD rom.
I installed Ice Cold Jelly's AOKP jellybean rom and not soon after everyone who I spoke to on calls could not hear me speak.
I called my land line from the mobile and there was terrible interference and crackling, so much so I couldn't hear anything at all on the call, however it sounded perfect on the handset end.
I tried 3 other jellybean roms but the problem remained, I did a full wipe and cache/dalvik erase on each installation.
I finally went back to the ARHD rom that was fine previously and the problem still remains
Anyone come across this before? I feel it may be a hardware fault and it is just coincidence I installed a new rom, but i think i'm going to have a hard time getting it exchanged/repaired with the unlocked bootloader.
Thanks for any help !
Hi!
I have a similar issue. I rooted my phone the day i got it and used ARHD, no problems. A few days back i flashed ViperX. Im now on v2.7.0 and here comes the problem:
When i call someone or when i am called, my partner can hear me but i cannot hear them. I have to turn on the speaker to hear them and have the phone call.
I was wondering if this is a ROM problem or a HTC problem. The thing is i cant prove because i have never used locked stock rom in the first place... Does anyone have an idea what this might be?
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Hi everyone!
I took some time this weekend to look into this problem again. I tried different roms, including different ICS and JB and even went back to stock (nand backup from first day). No success, still no sound from the front speaker when calling.
While flashing i tried both with sim card in the phone and without, i always did full wipe and flashed boot.img from fastboot. Still not working. No app that needs this speaker works, i also tried skype and talk. So i am out of options now. Is there anything i can do? Would it help to flash a different kernel?
I guess the hardware got broken somewhere along the line. Would HTC fix it under warrenty? Does anyone have experiences with that?
Thanks again for all your kind help! I know this might be cross posting but im going to try and get my problem solved in other threads as well.
Regards heintosz..
Don't know much about the issue, but if you unlocked bootloader(which you did, otherwise you were not be able to install custom roms) your warranty is void.
Sorry to tell you that.
Inviato dal mio HTC One X con Tapatalk 2
Yeah i thougth so, but still, is all warranty void or just software warranty? Do they make a difference? I guess i'll have to call HTC service and ask them, see if that helps...
As far as I know there is just the hardware warranty...and when you've unlocked bootloader your phone s/n is registered on htc dev so no chance that a new lock and system restore will revert your warranty. Call them and report back any news, who knows

I think this is misleading. Asking for a key and using it are different actions.
However, when you relock, the bootloader says relocked, not locked. So they can tell.
Many people with relocked bootloaders manage to get warranty repairs.
Didn't hear anything around about this...I should tell it to our support here in Italy, a friend of mine had to pay a repair fee for an internal memory fault 3 weeks after unlocking bootloader even after we managed to restore all defaults and re-lock the bootloader

It appears to depend on country, service centre, support guy, whether he's had his coffee or a fight with missus, phase of the moon, etc.
Hey,
Since a few days my Desire started acting weirdly and I sadly suspect it had something to do with be dropping it on the floor at some point. I didn't notice any changes immediately but after a while I noticed the following 3 things:
1) when I plug in my headphones, no icon would appear, they wouldn't be recognized so the sounds will only come through the external speaker.
2) the most upsetting one, when i make/get calls, i hear no sound through the internal speaker, only through the external one if I activate it
3)the camera starts but shows nothing, only the upper corners would be lightly lit and then a fc occurs
I guess something in the 'head'/upper part of the phone might have been affected by that fall, is there anything else I can do by myself to try to make it a decent usable phone again?
I already tried reinstalling the rom, lastest MIUI-XJ by the way, and putting it in the fridge(saved me before with some stuff) with no success.
I've had my Desire for 2 years now, was thinking of replacing it soon, but definitely not this soon... What to do to get my baby back?

Thank you kindly, dear sir. That was indeed my problem and after a few minutes I had it back working.
Figured it'd be something loose, but had no idea what to look for so I'm definitely grateful to you, cheers!
Great!

Hello everybody,
I recently bought a Nexus 7 LTE. I decided to unlock and root it with WugFresh's Toolkit. The process worked out fine and I didn't have any problems.
But one day later I got some trouble with it. Sometimes when I unlocked the device there was a kind of colored pixel noise. The Nexus then didn't react to the touchscreen and I was only able to deactivate the screen with the power button. The pixel noise stayed for around 5 min and then disappeared. This issue happened multiple times, so I sent back the device to the manufacturer and got a new one.
My question is, was the reason for this problem the unlocking and rooting or is it a hardware issue? Could it happen again when I root my new device?
If you need pictures, device or software information, just tell me,
Thanks for any help
Hardware is my guess

My guess is it is hardware. I have seen something like this with a bad video cable connection. Just a guess, though.
Any time you suspect it is a different ROM and you are about to send it back, try to return your Nexus to stock and see if it goes away.

I did that, otherwise they wouldn't have taken it back. Interesting is that the issue occurred on the stock ROM as well after I flashed it.
Hi all,
Just got news of the marshmallow being available to my LG G4 (H815). I was aware of the update having been rolled out to Poland and Korea before so I thought it was a safe bet.
I plugged in my phone, started the LG Bridge software which prompted me with the update. I went on and downloaded it, which happened without any issues.
However, when the process was over and my phone restarted, it went through the usual "app optimization" window and after that started boot-looping. I have the initial audio cue from LG playing every few minutes, with the same "app optimization" for 12 apps (when the first time it was around 90).
I initially left it for a while (5-10min) before i started losing patience. I removed the battery but that didn't change anything.
I initiated the Recovery mode, but it prompted me with a "factory reset" question, which I didn't feel like doing before having tried anything else.
My phone is not rooted and was running Android 5.1, the LG variant. I never fiddled with this phone.
Has anyone else experienced issues updating? Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to recover my data? Because for me, that's mostly what I'm concerned of.
Thanks!
Edit: In addition, I'm facing a new problem... while boot-looping, my phone is actually draining more energy from the battery than my charger can provide (yet, it's a 1,8A @ 5V).
It's now down to 10%, which I've been able to verify by removing the battery thus shutting down the phone, putting the battery back inside, and plugging the phone in while being off. However, this automatically turns on the phone, so it briefly displays the battery charging animation before booting... My phone was at 100% during the Marshmallow update.
Which S/N (serial number on your box) do you have? 505 and 506 are known for this issues..

yes it can be a issue of the 505.. Not to scare you or anybody else (there are people here that are crying and closing threads because i talk things like this.) But 505 is a known issue that some of the motherboards have defects. I hope you can fix it for yourself or call the cheap manufacturer LG..

Are you aware of this being a reason for replacement units to be issued? I didn't buy it through LG directly but through amazon, so I'll get in touch with them, but just wanted to know if you've had any experience or know of anything regarding this. And thanks for letting me know.

Np chief. They will fix your phone, just say it is in a bootloop after LG's official update. Call Amazon or LG itself to fixe this problem. (you mentioned you didnt root anything etc so you are good to go boss).

I figured, they would just try to restore my device and send it back to me, so I tried it and it worked. I'm still disapointed for two reasons:
- I still lost valuable data which I can't retrieve any more
- I'm still stuck with my device which could very well be prone to other issues in the future (any future update ?)
There are issues with this phone because i had 3 Rma's because of motherboard and dead pixels. My wife has also dead pixel and has version 506. Just use your phone, Marshmallow update is out so maybe they changed something in the system to stabilize the motherboard.
