Anyone know of a 1% battery mod for our Note 3's? I have seen them included in some of the ROM that have been released but none as a universal add on. Previously been using this type of mod on my N2 for the longest time and have been missing it. I really do not have the experience to attempt creating one on my own but am willing to try or to help test one out if the community can point me in the right direction.

I have that checked but it shows the percentage next to the battery. I was talking about having the percentage show within the battery icon when themed.
Get root, then use wanam exposed. It will give you a circular battery option...

Best option is to be rooted and flash a rom like jedi, wicked and other roms that have 1% battery percentages. Ofcourse theres also non-root apps that allow this(pretty sure) in app store but as easy as it is to root this phone(especially with root de la vega) and not lose knox warranty even to get what your wanting is soo worth it.

I am rooted and am running the stock odexed ROM just themed. I have downloaded stock deodexed and Jedi as well but have note installed anything yet. I know from experience that JEDI X for GN2 did not have the battery mod, the version for GN3 does now?
My main goal I guess was to see if anyone had the mod available individually (like the GN2 mod) that we could try to flash on any ROM that we happen to be trying.
Thanks for the feedback.

Check in the Themes and Apps section for the AOSP theme, there is a Battery mod listed in that, as long as you are on stock it should work.
I have also used it on "MyRom" without any problems.
Make a backup and then flash it to try it out

THIS MOD IS FOR STOCK ODEXED ROMS ONLY WITH 2.17 BASE
This is a small modification I did to my SystemUI.odex in order to enable the quicksettings tab in the notification area of the status bar.
This mod only enables the settings already made by HTC into the ROM. It only unlocks this functionality, nothing more.
I did this for myself, and I thought I could share to all users with stock rom but rooted.
What this MOD do:
Unlocks QuickSettings tab in notifications area
Shows the settings already built by HTC
What this MOD doesn't do:
It is not an Extended Quicksettings MOD
It doesn't provide any additional setting not made by HTC
It can't enable/disable items or change the order of them
It doesn't come with an additional app to customize the items
REQUIREMENTS:
Rooted stock 2.17 rom
Bootloader unlocked
Custom Recovery
INSTALLATION:
Enter into recovery mode and flash the provided zip.
If you don't have recovery or unlocked bootloader, you can't flash this MOD. If requested, I could provide instructions to manually copy the files needed.

Yes, I could, but there are many deodexed roms with this enabled.
If you don't want to flash any custom rom, but use a deodexed "stock" rom, I could just attach a zip for that. I didn't think this could be usefull for anybody

I don't want to make a tutorial here. If I do, I'll have to support many issues with tools and enviroments.
But, if you are used to edit smali files, its not really difficult.
(Im not at my PC now, and I cant remember well the names)
I edited StatusBarFlags.smali and enabled HTC_QUICKSETTINGS flag.
I edited QuickSettings.smali and enabled all the options in onFinished method (I left disabled volume because it wasn't very usefull)
Then I odexed the classes.dex with dexopt-wrapper. You could see more info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9369187&postcount=4

For people using a stock 2.17 deodexed rom.
I think it will also work with any 2.17 base custom rom, but as I said before, many custom roms have this already enabled.

Well saw this in some other thread. That when you have no notification. And you open the bar, the EQS will be shown automaticaly
For example. And man, dont worry, its just a suggestion.
This is not the default behavior of the status bar on stock rom.
I prefer to leave it default here. Otherwise, I should move the thread to the "developement" section Also, I would have to research how to do that modification. Maybe I will some day, it could be usefull
I installed ODEXED_QS_2.17-V1.zip on by stock ODEXED Rom and it seem's to have completly wiped out my status bar. I did a factory reset and it did not help. What can I do to get everything back to the way it was?

What version your stock ODEXED Rom is? This MOD only works for 2.17.401.2 odexed (or deodexed)
If you have other version, you only neeed to restore your SytemUI.apk back on your rom. To do that just open the zip I did and replace the SystemUI.apk with yours.
If you have 2.17.401.1, please provide logcat message.
I went ahead and installed a custom ROM. I was running latets OTA Orange Poland.

Hi
I am a total noob and this will be my first custom rom flash..lol
Can I use the AROMA installer on a Telus/AT&T phone?
The link was only on the T-moblie so I am guessing not.
If not I just want to make sure I get all files needed from the from the AT&T section like the modem, carrier files ect.
Any info would be great.
Thanks in advance

I use the Jedi 9 rom on my Rogers Note 2 which is the same as the at&t version and it works great. Yes you can use aroma installer as long as you download it from the AT&T note 2 area. I use theerseus kernel overclocked to 1800 and undervolted by 75 at each step and with this rom and that kernel I have gotten up to 1day 19hrs with over 6 hours of screen time. I would post my screen shot but don't have enough posts yet LOL enjoy you will love it! Just read read read before you do it quite easy to do just take your time and follow every step they say

Hmm...I could not find the AROMA installer package for jedi x9 under the AT&T section.
Thanks I will keep looking and reading up on it.Just confused with all the extra files..don't want to mess up my new phone..lol
The Color theme under the apps section for the Jedi rom uses aroma and is built in. It is a very nice theme as well I have been using it with no problems. You do not need aroma to install Jedi though at all. All you need will be carrier files and modem to be up and running then pick anything else you want to add from the goody bag. Flash room then carrier files and modem then you are good to go. Aroma can be nice but definitely not necessary by any means.

Ya just thought for the first time around installing at least I would not miss anything that I would need but now that I know what files I think I will just do it the way you suggest. Before I do the other files after the rom would I do any wipes?. That would be the only other concern I would have.

This has been confirmed to work on the Nexus 4 too but sadly you need a deodexed ROM (preferably AOSP).
They're yet to release it for the Odexed (aka full stock) :/
This is also a way to achieve it (haven't tried it myself) but as he says early in the posts, flashable zip is not the point of that topic
If anyone has a (flashable zip) solution, feel free to share!

Thx mate , but my rom is odexed .
Sadly, mine is too and from what I can make up from the first link I gave there hasn't been a way to tweak it with an Odexed ROM.
Apparantly making it for an odexed rom is too difficult :/
My advice which I'm following too is just follow that first thread and see if someone posts an odexed flashable zip.
Only a few people claimed this one work for the Nexus 4 (somewhere in the latest comments). It didn't work for me as it failed to apply but it didn't mess up anything either so give it a shot.
For the rest, a lot of people are playing the waiting game (or deodex their ROM, which I cba doing myself)
I'm interested in it too.
Maybe an xposed module could work?
Anyway, if I find something I will tell you

Cheers, same for when I find something. But I've been on the lookout since that first topic got created and no one has come forward for an odexed version so I'm not even sure wether it's possible.
About an xposed module, my knowledge about it is far from high enough to go "mess up" the framework
(hoping for more comments here though )

Just had an idea:
1)Deodex the rom via titanium backup (http://androidforums.com/a75-all-things-root/676252-tutorial-how-deodex-rom.html)
2)Apply the quicksettings mod
2)Odex the rom again via Titanium Backup.
I don't know if this could work, and I can't try because I'm not on stock at the moment.
If you're on stock you can try this?
Thanks

But "Odex the rom again", as I've understood deOdexed roms make it easier to work with and most custom roms are deOdexed so might just leave it there if it works via titanium I'll report back when I try it out

Let me know
Since there was not one posted i decided to post a Remove Location Icon flashable zip file for those who just decide to stay stock de-bloated.
The update script is by andybones, and i modified the apk.
This will work with stock, and deodex, roms as long as you have no other modifications are made in the systemUI.apk
I also included the stock file as well.
Flash in recovery and wipe the dalvik-cache, reboot, SUCCESS !
There are Three files. The Remove_Location.zip will work for both odex and deodex roms.
For odex roms it deletes the odex file and replaced it with a deodex version. It will work just fine don't stress out about it....
The other two are stock deodex and stock odex. If you want to go back make sure you use the right one!
UPDATE(12/17/2013): I added the 2.10.605.1 update mod..

I corrected this problem, and the code is now fixed !
Is it still a blank icon that just now AFTER the Beats icon, or is it really space freed up for other notifications?
I don't have that behavior myself on my device after flashing as seen in the posted screenshot. Anyone else ?
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using xda app-developers app
Edit:
Note that even though the modification to the systemUI.apk smali code should set the icon to a with of zero, the actual location of those icons are in the same file
Those were technically removed on my first attempt, which yielded the blank space between the beats icon and 4G symbol or whatever else. That b/c I didn't take into account the smali code in systemUI.apk
Now on my device theI just applied the systemUI.apk modification which just set the width of the ' clear ' location icon to zero which made the space disappear. I have tested this several times by replacing the original systemUI.apk and systemUI.odex files and then re-flashing the modified one and it functions as shown in the OP screenshot.
I also compared the MD5 checksum with the one I flashed vs the one I downloaded from here in case i accidentally messed up and they are identical.

I was going to say, that those status bar mods are not stock
The SystemUI.apk holds some of the icons for the statusbar, and the systemUI.apk hold the codes that control the blank space between the 4G icon and the beats icon that is where the blank space was.
Those are the files that were modified by me, the first being accidental leaving the space between the beats icon and the 4G symbol, and the later resolved the space
Either way, I had the space previously with your first mod and flashed the updated zip and the space is gone. Thanks for the fix!

Okay bro ,Is it Knox-free?
First time i bricked my device after i flashed your zip. Never, ever i had any problems.. Not booting after installation.
Some inquiries
Exactly what I've been looking for! An Odexed & DeBloated ROM. I have 2 questions though that I need to ask before flashing this.
1. I am currently on Wanamlite v3.4 (JellyBean 4.3). I have never flashed a stock 4.4.2 Kitkat, though I have tried other custom roms based on this firmware. In case something happens, would I be able to revert? I don't wanna get the KitKat Bootloader which would prevent me from downgrading my firmware.
2. I confirmed that it doesn't contain any modem, so I will be able to use my old one. Is it pre-rooted?
Many thanks!

Alarm Clock missing?
Thanks for the ROM. I am currently observing it for battery life. Here somethings I have noticed
1. UI is a bit sluggish, not as bad as OmegaROM, but a bit noticeable. Don't know if this is ROM or Kernel related.
2. I know that this is debloated, but I am not aware that the Clock (Stock Alarm Clock) was included as bloatware, therefor was removed. I would like to have that again, just that system app.
3. When you say No-Wipe, as in No-Wipe at all. I am on the latest PhilzTouch Recovery, and when I did perform a Wipe before flashing, after reboot, I got bricked. I think I am the second person who reported this. Either the ROM or the Recovery is at fault.
