I own a Asus VivoTab TF600T and have Windows RT 8.1 Preview installed from a few months back.
Now I try to find a way to get the official 8.1 update but can't really get it to work.
What I did is using the Modern UI to find updates, no luck.
Then I tried the windows classic UI Windows Updates, activating "Search for other product drivers". No luck here aswel.
I also tried to find the update KB 2871389, but doesn't appear in my Installed Updates list, and the device has no more updates to install.
I did the "run/wsreset.exe" and that did not show any results.
I need to have this update in order to get the tablet back in Italian, as I sold it to an Italian friend.

PS: I asked the same question on the Windows Forum, but I really never see any good answers on there, so I ask the awesome XDA members who are WAY better then "wana b MS devs"

Hey,
ASUS has made a full Android 4.2.2 version for the vivo tab rt available. Unfortunately there isn't a way to flash it onto the tablet because of secure boot etc. I've seen someone mentioning that an older uefi version was hackable.
So maybe if you put the old uefi version somehow back on there, you might be able to boot that android version.
I wish people didn't post stuff they can'i back up. If you don't know the answer don't post. Does anyone know if it can be done?

Microsoft Secure Boot Golden Key is online, is this the start of a new life for the VivoTab RT? :
Maybe someone will port it over.
The Android version of the VivoTab RT TF600T is ASUS Transformer Pad TF502T. On the Asus website the Kernel Code for Android 4.2.1 can still be found (http://www.asus.com/support/Download/28/1/0/17/32/).

Has someone found the ASUS Transformer Pad TF502T Android rom? It would be very possible to dual boot Android and Windows with this device.

Can someone asnwer about this topic about the option to unlock the bootloader. Have been dealing with the tab for more than 6 years already. Hate the windows rt.
I've restored the original windows 8 RT image on this tablet but is unuseless, I can't navigate, I can't use the store, I can't update, it returns always errors...must we trah it?
Have anyone RT 8.1, RT 8.1 still works with internet?

Hi i`ve just recently bought a Nokia Lumia 1020 from china..
And joined windows 10 insider fast ring, i`ve had no problems upadating this phone from windows 8.1 to the latest
offering from microsoft, but for the life of me i cannot downgrade back to win 8.1
I`ve read all the tutorials i`ve done numerous soft & hard resets tryed different usb cables tryed different ports unistalled and reinstalled
WRT..
Now here is the thing that i don`t get,
When i connect my phone to my PC running win 7 WRT recognises my phone and then proceeds to tell me that there isn't
anything available on the server..
So i have held the volume button down & power pressed in, and restarted WRT to find my phone which it does and then proceeds to download a new rom.
But the new rom is for a different phone.. this is the rom downloaded by WRT

yes of course 1020 has great camera
but im not sure every people with 1020 who upgrade to W10M have this problem...

Still does not answer the question why i`m struggling to down grade back to win8.1 though & why the server is downloading a different
file i.e mines 875 and yet the downloaded file is 877, or is it compatable, and why does my phone reject the install?

lumia denim is an old firmware update on windows phone 8.1 i think...
but i dont know if u need it if u are on w10m...
and for your downgrade...i dont know why u have problem...
maybe try to post on Windows phone 8 section...

Just upgraded to windows 10 on my 640. Now the version in the insider program is 10.0.10586.63. Looking the net. Found out the MS remove Astoria on the latest version. Does anyone know how to revert to the previous version of windows 10 where the Astoria was still there?
Another also is that, Most tutorial on the net about installing appxbunlde on windows 10 doesn't work especially for the paid apps. Is there a latest tutorial on how to do install one? I always have this error when using APPdeployCMD "

astoria wasn't available on the 640 anyway
i have an lumia 925 that i dont use anymore...and handed it over to my kid..but now he wants an android instead...(app gap!!) before i tried to install the testbulids of win 10 that was available to the phone...but it was to may things that did'nt not work. I wish that it was possible to install android on it
is there any "sharp" windows 10 bulid or anything to install on it nowdays that work all day?
You can use it as a photo camera, should be pretty good for that. But stay away from Windows 10, it's full of bugs and it will force you to use the new crappy Camera app.
Otherwise, sell it and buy an Android phone for your kid.
Hello. I am in the same boat as yours - a Lumia 630 user. I am using the latest 10586 build and it is as good as WP8.1. Just make sure you select Release Preview in windows insiders. Also do a hard reset after getting onto W10 to ensure all bugs and left over files are deleted.

ohhh..i heard today that some "keys" leaked from microsoft that unlocks the bootloader...it says that now you could install any operationsystem on windows devices?? then perhaps we could install android in our 925's? or perhaps have a dualboot anything about this?

Hi to all, i've bought a Surface RT on ebay and once it arrived it was in factory reset. MS Store and Update aren't working because the support for RT 8 was discontinued, and i can't get nor the updates for RT 8 nor the upgrade to RT 8.1. Explorer can't open pages because it's too old and every other preinstalled app can't be updated. I don't know what to do with this tablet. All the guides or Updates i've found searching on the internet all speaks all about RT 8.1. I tried to install those updates but (obviously) aren't working.
Can somebody help me and tell me if there is a way to install the version 8.1 or how to get the best out of this tablet in the current state?
