Hello
I am new to the android world but I have been trying to learn the most of it
but I had a problem with my xperia ion
I have updated recently to Jelly Bean and the device started up correctly but with no wifi access (whenever I try to open wifi via settings, it either stops uexpectedly or no wifi networks appear to exist at all)
after looking for it in google , I found the same problem with Ion users in Sudan and Syria (where I live ) It seems to be a compatibility issue with the sim card , because whenever I remove the sim it works just fine
I was told that I should replace the Wpa_supplicants file so I rooted the device and downloaded root file explorer and tried to replace it , but whenever I try to copy any file or move it the file explorer stops too
Please help me and I will be very greatful

Hey all,
I've been having this problem, whenever i flash any other stock ftf, ics or jb, I see a weir-ed problem, that is whenever i connect my phone to pc and try viewing internal storage, it doesn't show all folders, infact it just shows a 3 or 4 folders and then just sits there, I mean i can copy and paste stuff, but I'm unable to view all folders present on the internal storage, which is driving me crazy as I've literary lost some bits and pieces of data from my phone while thinking that I've copied everything from phone to pc and do a factory data reset and later finding out that it didn't copy everything
But, now when i installed some Chinese firmware on my phone(DE something), the problem just went away, FYI: I bought my phone from some online retailer which was sent from china. As a matter of fact, its reasonably quick while copy files to/from pc.
Please can someone help me out, as I'm trying to root my phone, and for that I'll need to flash .211 following Doomlords method, whereas my phone only has .200 released till yet.
Thanks

Hi, I've been using z1 compact for 1 year & and haven't had suffered any problems. Now i've Lollipop for 3 months, the problem i've is that media files mp3 dissapeared in Walkman/Music App, it says no content available or folder is empty, i can play files only from File commander or Downloads app via Music app but during playing it still says unknown song unknown artist, which have never been before, does anybody sufferef this kind problem on your devices? I tried to clear cach and app data in settings, restarted the device several times, have tried safe mood boot, but not helped at all, i've reinstalled lollipop software via sony companion, yes it helped but after some time after auto app updates has started and finished the same problem's started again.
Anu suggestions?
Thanks

You have a .nomedia file on your phone. Delete that end will be fine.
My Wifi is for good reasons on channel 13. Which is perfectly legal here. My H815 (root) refuses to connect to it unless it checks my location, based on what country my simcard (sic!) is from! Now my simcard seems to be broken, it won't be recognized by the phone. Or the LG G4 is broken :crying:
As annoying as this is, now I even miss my cell signal AND my wifi signal. You could force Android devices to search on all channels for Wifi. AFAIK this was done editing /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db Maybe this works in 5.1 the same why, which is why I need to edit this settings.db.
I tweaked this db just perfectly on my Nexus 5 with the app SQLite Editor (Go check it out its great).
On my LG G4 when trying to access the settings.db I always get the error: "The database is currently locked by another process. Try again in a moment or two" By the way: Android-System locksettings.db shows the same behavior.
When I copy the settings.db to /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/ I will get the same error for the COPY of a database!
I need to copy it to my external SD Card and THEN I can access the database. A directory I created on my internal storage /sdcard/Internal is fine to. Now I can open that database. But I do not see the live information + the access rights of that copied settings.db look strange. No owner anymore. ( I use ES File Explorer) I am afraid to edit it and copy it back to:
/data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db
Any idea why I can not access my /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db ?
Hi,
I had the WiFi Problem when I bought the LG G4 but didn't insert a SIM card.
My WiFi is on channel 13 but it didn't show up on the smartphone.
I contacted the LG support chat. They said I have to insert a SIM card.
When I inserted my German SIM card everything worked fine.
But then I switched on airplane mode and got the message again that not all WiFi network will be shown due to the unkown location.
I see that you are also German.
You can find my (German) solution on android-hilfe.de
Title: "LG G4 WLAN Fix - immer alle Kanäle"
Or here in english:
WiFi Fix - always all channels on 2.4 GHz

Did it work?
Just saw your post. It reads like a perfect solution! I will try. Dankeschön! [emoji106]

Please confirm if it's working.
I testet it on V10c.
