It is just fascinating to try out arco's new CM9 rom.
However, as the camera is still non-functional, I am aching whether to choose between blacknote or CM9...
But can I take both? Like what they do with boot manager...
Interesting.. it can be done but I wonder if there is a Modding for this...

Well...
It is said on the page of Boot Manager Pro that
"BootManager will not work with Samsung devices that are not listed because of the way Samsung handles the boot partition."
Kinda crap -.-
Well, but the interesting thing is...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375550
found this when googling samsung dual boot
Can we just do the same thingy here?
that would be somethin if we manage to get our SGW to dual boot
like my acer aspire 1 netbook
I would be glad if I can test camera in CM9 while using ordinary camera in Gingerbread for daily operation.
Possible?
Any updates on this?

I think this is a good suggestion
I think its related to the kernel, like siyah kernel on sgs2 or sgs3 it can perform dualbooting

For this time, nope. Maybe in future someone good at linux or kernel imaging deciding to using our phone and build a kernel hehe.
As far I can see now, there is not much kernel for us. In gb is cowithgun kernel based on arco work, and stock kernel. In cm7, oisis try to gave a hand. But in ics therevis only one kernel brought by arco

you're right I think, dual boot will make our phone slowly, cause it has a little internal memory.. it's what I think cmiiw

it wont make the phone slow..actually we can boot it smoothly from externalsd if we've faster one, class 10 is excellent..advantage is we can use a stable rom for normal use and at the same time we can taste the latest jelly bean...its explained in our little bro galaxy s plus forum..there is some method of partitioning and only we need is a kernel supporting it..

I've ever ask a question like this and directly answered by hadid japri..,
"galaxy W kernel devs. Ever try to develop multiboot kernel but it's problem on internal storage and our RAM not support for it"
I forget why our RAM not support for it..
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
We should make a modded RAMdisk to enable multiboot in the principal kernel, and place the other rom in a ext3-4 sd partition.
Our RAM is as same as I9001 so I don't see why we can't do it.

Hi, I saw a portal topic earlier about the S4 being dual bootable so is it possible for our hovs?
It is possible. But someone would have to develop it.

dual boot
Yes it is quite possible. The app is called boot manager and there is a tutorial on Youtube on how to find out the variables it will ask for. This will install a ROM onto your sd card and allow a dual boot. You will have to be rooted and have CWM recovery. It's a pretty awesome app.
umm u need the kernel to support dual boot
just an app wont do it ya know
only good for bricking
I have a rooted Sprint GS3, I wanna know if I could dual boot with CleanBean and the new preview of MOAR v6? I got STweaks and it says my Kernel is not supported. I'm wondering what would be the correct kernel to allow both to work? Any information would help. Thank you.

I don't know how you could dual boot, but have you considered just keeping around an uncompressed nandroid backup for both? Not a very elegant solution, no, but I figure it gets the job done.
