I just got a used S4 from eBay for my wife and it's lighter than mine that I got at launch.
Both have T-Mobile on the back and they seem pretty much identical but after the serial number mine says 13.04 and the newer one says 13.05. Additionally, the eBay listing says it is blue but it doesn't look it. My wife says it is "gunmetal gray" but I'd say it's nearly black. I haven't seen the black version to compare it to but T-Mobile only lists white and black so that also seems weird.
Google doesn't have anything to suggest and searching the forums didn't produce anything. Has anybody heard of anything like this? Is my new S4 counterfeit or something?
Conterfits does not run on 4g lte. See if it connects to lte. And you can also verifi imei to what phone that is

Also check to see if it's the same batteries. Some of the fake batteries are lighter than the original.
Nexus ONE
most of the weight of a phone is due to the battery. hold both in your hands and I bet u will find the missing weight.
Are you sure its tmobile? Just because it have a tmobile back doesnt mean it is.. It may be the fake S4 that is goin around online and put in a Back s4 and good to sale. Make sure what is the build number.

Yeah i know what you guys are thinking. Verizon will never get the phone blah blah blah but when the day it does come, I want it to be protected and babied. So with that said, where do I find cases for the Verizon variant? So far, it looks like the cases are made for the GSM verison only. When typing in sch515 on ebay, nothing comes up and general searches only come up with the i9250's version. A little help here guys? Or will the cases fit both versions?

They are all the same, just the screen though not the body frame. The processor placement is different on international version.

well...
I think you have to get the screen and the body housing together, same thing happened to me but on my international version.I tried to just get the screen and bezel, but I was told I had to get the housing as well. I ended up just getting it repaired somewhere for like $230.00 still cheaper than buying from amazon. Good luck!
You had a cover on it just for reference

trying to buy a sprint galaxy note 2 on craigslist .. I know its safer to buy from a retail store but going to buy it and then have it flashed to a prepaid carrier. I dont want to pay full retail price for the phone.. but have been noticing theres a lot of fake/Clone phones out there for sale
so was wondering if without having to spend the time to go see the seller if maybe i could request a certain picture of the phone showing specific information
i know that the fake note 2's only have 512mb ram, less mega pixels on the camera, the Name Samsung is spelled Sansung, Samnsung etc.. also theres some that dont have a branding on it but am i missing something that i could request to be shown in a picture to tell if the phone is real or not..
Obviously when i get the phone in my hand i will be able to tell but dont want to spend the time going to meet up with the seller and finding out its a fake and have wasted all that time...
any ideas, suggestions, oh and how do i tell on the phone how much ram the phone has so i can tell the seller to send me a pix of that?
TIA

First thing is, ask for meid before you meet. This way you can call Sprint or verizon or whatever the company is. And this way verify if esn is clean and that the number matches the phone. I do it with all phones I get on craigslist. If they don't want to do that then back out. Another thing I do is meet them at the phone store so someone there can confirm phone works. If again they don't want to do that then definitely don't buy it. Also have them send you pictures of the front back and inside of phone.

He said he was gonna have it flashed to a prepaid carrier so clean ESN doesn't matter to him. He's asking how to tell if it's a fake Note 2, not blacklisted.
OP- as far as I know the Note 2 clones are all GSM and not CDMA so you shouldn't have to worry about them if you're looking for a sprint/vzw model. For vzw model look for the Verizon branding on the home key and battery cover, that's the easiest thing to spot, especially the home key as it's not easy to remove, but it is easy to cover. Sprint phones don't have any Carrier branding on them so it would be a little more difficult to tell from a photo. Just know as long as its a CDMA carrier's phone there's a much lower chance of it being a fake than if it's GSM.

Got it. That's out of my realm of knowledge. One of the ways I can tell a fake phone is by it having a valid meid. In this case with the flashing and not caring that it's good or not I have no idea. It all falls back on learning the details on the original real note 2 and comparing it. Good luck

True that the majority are GSM but ive called on some and i have asked (since it didnt mention in the ad) is your note a sprint or a verizon one.. some have answered : well it works with both, it will work with any CDMA carrier,
I ask again : "ok but is it Sprint or Verizon or even US cellular"
they say: its actually neither one"
my response is " HA? ok never mind thanks...
googled this and brought up alot of clone GN2's so made my concern... but the majority of the complains of people being dubbed have been on GSM notes...
again thanks to both of you .. gonna go buy later on today hopefully..
So i decided to trade in my Nexus 7 for Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 since it was on sale and the fact it could be used as my main device for calling people instead of using my galaxy note 2. I even watched some reviews for it and saw the Tab with a Phone and Messaging app. But me being me after buying the Tab 3 and looking like a fool in a AT&T store, I realized that the one i bought was the AT&T model instead of the international one. I like the Tab 3 now and was wondering is it possible to get the Phone and Messaging app from the international one and port it to the AT&T one?

I do not believe that it has the necessary hardware built into it so that it can get a phone and mms apk working.
Id say.. return it to att and get your dough$$ back..
Then get the T-211 from Amazon or Negri or Ebay.. or go one bigger and get the 8 incher.... and just swap your sim card from your Note 2 into your new tab and BAM!! A 7 inch phone.... BUT.. NO LTE though.... still H+ is damm good speed in STL where I am...7-9 MPS d/l's...
good luck

check them out for yourself.....
for a few bucks more... go for a larger screen with an 8"incher... it has thin bezels, so the overall dimensions arent that much if any from the 7 inch.
I had a note...with ATT GO phone sim..... pull the sim out and put it in my Galaxy mega...
Bam...6.3 inch phone....
Pull the sim out of the mega.... jam it in my T315 8".. and guess what??
BAM!! an 8 inch phone..works just like your phone... make and receive calls, mms, data,cams.. everything.. at the same time even..
Look at the pictures of the devices..
See the green phone ICON on the home screens??
just like your phone has now!!
good luck
So this is my second 10 this month. Had to send the last one back as it was being sold as new but it was clearly used.
Anyway so I bought this hoping it was the 6500 us unlocked version. The back casing has the 6500 lettering and nothing else. All was good till i put my tmobile sim card in and can only get EDGE networks. Fiddled with apn settings but nada. Booted into download mode and behold this thing has a 6500 mid. Now Im not even sure this is new phone either. It is clean and in mint condition but the box it came in could fool anyone. The charger was all etched with crooked lettering and the box had a glued piece of textured paper for the top to miminc an oem box, unless htc also did this.
Anyways before i send this back is there anyway to check if this phone is an original 6500 that was simply flashed with 6200 mid/rom? Software number has a 401 regional code, china is 400 so it may be a modified chinese phone? Do you guys need any specific info?
If i were to keep it, will flashing a radio make it possible to get the missing lte bands people dont get when simply ruuing/ flashing a rom? Or will it always not recognize certain lte bands?
Also where can i buy a new 6500 us unlocked phone? Everyone seems to only sell international versions.
Any help would be appreciated
