Why is Tonyskyfall's Ignorance Thread Closed ?
was it closed by Tonyskyfall ?
Instead of asking this silly question in public, why don't you send a private message to Tony Skyfall? Or, how about a moderator? I don't know how you expect any of us

instead of tony getting this silly question 1000 times (he had over 1000 downloads) in his PM box. why not answer here. i am curious why the thread got locked too.
give it time and a mod or tony himself will answer, the question was not directed to you
Sorry if you thought I took it personally. I don't take anything on this site personally. I'm only here to ask questions, bug report, and help people when I can. If you read the thread, it would be pretty obvious. Instead of the thread accumulating 50 pages of whining about battery life or something off topic, he probably locked the thread, as he mentioned a few times that he was really busy and wouldn't be updating for several weeks. Do we really want the thread to be like the shpongle thread where everything had been said but nobody can find it through the last 50 pages of off topic?

The Thread is Closed Cuz the Developer Was Tired of Silly Posts About Battery Drain(I was also the One to post though )

Hey Guys,
Because the people that have experience with what im looking for, are here. Im posting this here. Excuse me if this is not the appropriate place.
It's probably a small thing. But I've googled and googled.. but nobody seems to have posted this.
One of the customizable buttons in Virtuous Unity 2.37 is not working.
[:.1] works just fine, [:.2] forgets its function after some tasks, but its sertain the setting is gone after a reboot. It does ask for a program to bind to the key.. but the setting does not 'stick'. Anyhow, this shows the Keymap is working. I dont know how HTC saves it after that.. or where!
I am looking for a solution, does anyone know how to make it so that this buttons is usable again? I recon its like addon 1 line to a file.. since [:.1] works fine:/
ty for your time.

Virtuous also have a bug tracker, don't have the address with me at the moment though.
Should probably check that, no doubt it will have been posted a couple of times.
You could even go visit their irc channel, #virtuousrom on freenode.

Seriously? We are not just moving threads. It is this attitude that has moved us to resort to issuing infractions for wrongly posting in Development forums....which is what you just earned yourself.
Are you leaving the One X forums ? Post your farewell messages here. Again this is to avoid the opening of more farewell threads by individual members. Post your final words here, your wishes, regrets, good times and bad times while you were here...thank anyone in particular and perhaps share some information about your future plans or devices . Credits go to Recognized Contributer deedii from the X8 Forums for inspiring me to open this thread . Again, farewell and take care ...

My guess is, this is a necessary evil. People just don't give a damn about forum rules. Things are slowly getting out of hand
A bit late for this but here it goes...
I was the author of the mod "One eXtreme Sound Enhancer" (Now Deprecated)
Thanks for everyone who have supported me over this year, you guys have really been a great help. I didn't want it to end like this but I force myself to because of some individuals had been trolling/being disrespectful to my work (*ahem* sammy users...)
I have been thinking countless times on coming back to this forum but haven't made a decision yet...
I really do regret moving to somewhere else but I had to get away from all of this kanging (This guy in the Xperia S Forum...), the XDA community wasn't as good as it was a year ago
Again, Thanks to EVERYONE in the ONE X Forum for supporting me along the way and also helping me when i got stuck, I really did appreciated it
Anyways, if you must find me, you can always PM me for my whereabouts

Sorry deleted, mod please delete this post?
Thanks.

We have a off topic thread for these sort of posts, these sort of threads just clutter our great forum.
To all xda-ers
Read read read and read again.....then search....and read some more holy crap people the CALL ECHO ON JELLYBEAN ROMS WILL BE PRESENT UNTIL WE GET AN OFFICIAL ROM FROM TMOBILE OR UNTIL SOMEONE FINDS A PERMNANET FIX FOR IT UNTIL THEN STOP ASKING ABOUT IT JEEZE... I don't know how many times I've seen this question but I've seen it one too many.
Theirs small things like make sure noise suppression is checked in your call settings or someone else stated that turning the volume down a bit fixes it. And or flashing another radio could cause a temp fix for it...but please read and or search before asking questions......
Number one rule here guys search before asking questions as your question may have been answered already and 95% of the time IT HAS!!!
Im done ranting now thanks for READING! And have a wonderful afternoon

I've never had a call echo complaint on AOKP JB, and have been running it for months.
I hope you feel really good about yourself, starting this thread all over such a small issue.
The irony of this post is that now when people search up "call echo" on the search bar now, this is the first thread out of several dozens of other threads that shows up and mentions this issue.
What's worst is that the post doesn't solve anything at all, lol. If it really bothered you, you could have simply provided links in your post to the particular threads where those who are actually looking will know where to search for prior answers.
In that way it will save you time and others... additionally, your rant wouldn't be another waste of space in these forums and instead actual be of some use to people... just a thought.
In the second paragraph I clearly stated the little things that people have found to temporarily fix the issue

And its a small issue that every one keeps asking about Instead of searching or reading thru the forums I've seen it asked at least 10 times or more in multiple threads I myself don't have the issue and why even post in here saying This is a waste of space when your reply was also a waste considereing none of you posted anything to help with the issue either but clearly just posted to flame

What kind of responses were you expecting from your post? Obviously since you emphasized greatly that people need to use the search bar more there is no need for us to add more to the minor information you already posted other than proper links... which then again contradicts using the search bar. As much as it is a nuisance, there are always going to be people on these forums who will ask old questions... don't let it be your problem, you're not obliged to answer the questions all the time. There are actually some bright people on the forums that enjoy the idea of helping someone (even if it's a common question), cheers!

Kind of like how Mohan asked people not to post in his Dev thread unless they have logs. And to use the embryo general thread instead yet people still fill his thread with the same few questions... It's crazy..

I understand your wanting to rant and I feel your frustration (Believe me when I say this. You should see some of the stuff that comes our way). Like FT said above, there is always going to be someone that asks the same question over and over and over, sometimes the same question in multiple threads. These people will never learn. But they are becoming more and more predominate in the forums lately.
We have 4.8m users and anywhere from 36-50k users online at a time. That type of userbase is fantastically hard to comprehend when it comes to things like this. Few want to learn anymore and many just come here to make their phone/tablet cool looking and could care less about smali hacks, de/compiling apks (what apk means for that matter), Android.policy.jars,...
Best answer I could give you now is to simply ignore those posts and move on to the next relevant post. If you want to answer, then by all means. Users should help each other when possible. But that doesn't mean spoonfeeding either.
**************
I'll leave this thread open until 11am est if anyone else want to respond but after that it is getting Closed Closed Closed Closed Closed
He's absolutely right about the post but unfortunately it was a waste of time and effort because most of the people that ask the same questions over and over are never gonna take the time to read this

my grievance is if i only care about a certain thing.. this case asking about bugs in certain rom thread.. to the developer.. i have to post 10 stupid times in other threads i care nothing about.. i guess 9 more than this.. and it irritates me.. to be able to engage in the only thing i care about's convo. other than that.. this site rocks. my first time flashing my own phone and it has been a big help using this site. if i wasnt such a motorhead i would get into development myself.. if i knew where to start.. im sure thats on this site too.. but thats it. thanks xda for being awesome.. but stupid at the same time.
Create a thread in your device's Q&A. Or post in that rom's discussion thread if one exists.
You know what I find frustrating? People who are too lazy to SEARCH and find the other 500 posts whining about the 10 post rule and instead start a new one to add to the pile.

Take a look at my Icon Pack. Click here!
Rules are rules. And if you've been around XDA for as long as you say you'd also know that this topic has been beat to death. @edisile is quite correct! :fingers-crossed:
