Hi,
I moved on to Windows 8.1 and upgraded my Nvidia drivers days ago. I don't know which is wrong, but I cannot open my LG pc Suite anymore. I gett an error saying something like "wrong parallell config". Any ideas on this? I tried reinstalling the Suite like 3 times with no results.

Couple days ago i installed a Windows 8 RTM and tried plugging in my gnex in USB.
Nothing happened, it wasn't recognized and shown in Explorer.
I saw that WindowsUpdate offered Samsung Mobile MTP device driver but it fails to install.
Can anyone confirm this andor offer a workaround or help?
Thanks
solved problem.
I had issue with Windows 8 Enterprise N build, when i installed non-N build phone got recognized regularly.
Seems that absence of WindowsMediaPlayer causes issues with MTP device.
I still have issue with windows media player installed. It always locks up when I try and copy my pictures off

Im having the same problem. My pc doesnt recognize the phone(with kies installed and the latest updates from microsoft and samsung)(with drivers ofc). I have contacted with samsung support center and they say that so far they cant guarantee that kies will work fine for all the devices in windows 8. I ve never had windows 7 so i dont know about a problem there. I ve upgraded from Windows XP(which Kies was working exellent) to Windows 8 and now im facing these problems. Hope to fix soon
Samsung galaxy ace, gt-s5830, 2.3.6
Windows 8 Pro 32-bit
Win7 drivers "SHOULD" work with Win8... but anyways, did you try uninstalling ALL drivers of your phone and removing cached drivers from your system? Then do a fresh install of drivers try offline first. It doesn't work, remove everything and try if windows itself can find the driver for you. But usuallly the phone itself would make the PC install the drivers the phone needs.

Hi, i have problems with the pc suite on windows 8. I have installed the usb drivers and can access LG mobile support tool, and it recognices my phone, but the Pc suite wont. The Pc suite also "claims" that there is a updated Pc suite that i should install, but when i press the install button i get this message: Could not confirm update with updateserver". Am i retarded or what gives?
(reason for wanting to use the Pc suite is for loading pictures to my pc. I know there are other options, but just want to give it a try. Does anyone else got this problem?
I have reinstalled usb drivers, and reinstalled the PC suite but with no sucsess. Also when i connect the usb cable is is in (MPT) mode, and have tried the (PTP) mode as well.
Thanks for your imput :good:

Yeah it is anoying as hell! for me! I will try to delete the PC suite and USB drivers and try to install it all over again. Will post back if i can fix it.
Okay i got it fixed. I unistalled Lg Suite, LG mobile support tool and usb drivers. I then connected the phone to my pc via USB so that the drivers would install. After that i went to my computer and found an Icon for the LG (not a musicplayer or a harddrive, but a Mobile phone Icon) pressed it and followed the instructions. Looks like a got a newer verson of the LG suite than the one on their official webpage. File was bigger (229MB, and the old file was 206MB) After installing this everything worked.
ps Sorry for the language :silly:
Nice to see u managed to fix it. I'm gonna try that also. Gonna report back.
It still amazes me that LG have not added anything for Mac users. If you have a Mac product and an LG device, well forget it!
The version of PC suite from the website is fine, you just need to allow it to update itself, if you have done the old flashtool hacks in the past your hosts file is likely blocking the pc suite from running the update which is why you are having problems.
Lennyuk, my hosts file is good, I removed everything related to LG including all usb drivers, connected phone to pc let it install new drivers and voila, LG suite works. ? Seems like foxtrott2's solution works ?
Anyone else experiencing this? I just got the latest Windows 10 update, the fairly large one, and all of a sudden now the phone won't connect to LG Bridge. It connects to the PC just fine and charges but it will have nothing to do with the app. I even revoked USB permissions, switched to PTP, reinstalled LG Bridge, etc... no help.
Anyone else seeing this or know how to fix it?
EDIT: Well, to make matters worse I tried the "install pc drivers" thing and now the G4 won't even enter MTP mode. It doesn't recognize the USB connection at all.
Second EDIT: Got it fixed. Purged all drivers from my computer and reinstalled them. All good. ignore this thread.
what you mean by purge all drivers? what drivers, where? I'm having the same issue with bridge and windoze 10
Windows 10 here also and cannot get LG Bridge to see my VS986 either - it tries to connect when I switch to MTP mode, but then gives up.
ADB and Verizon Software User Assistant both work fine ......... not sure how to debug this issue.
Hello,
I just got myself a brand new LG G4 H815 and it is running Marshmallow. I want to upgrade to Nougat so I installed LG Bridge on my windows 10 PC, connected my phone with original USB cable but I get message "no mobile device connected". PC recognizes my phone and I can transfer files from and to the PC. I have LG universal mobile drivers installed and the phone is in MTP mode. Weirdly, once I switch it into charging mode, LG Bridge recognizes it but won't allow me to upgrade it since it must be in MTP mode. Can someone tell me a solution to this problem or tell me if I can update my phone in some other way? LG PC suite tells me that there's some sort of Verizon app built into my phone which will do it, but I cant find it anywhere.
This is a common problem. It is some sort if glitch with windows 10
In hardware devices window are u sure the driver doesn't appear as question mark after u connect?
Remove to device driver and let windows reinstall it automaticly when you restart windows
Try again

Yes, I've done it, since I had some issues with other device's drivers on win 10. It didn't help. I'll try on Win 7.
