Just got my phone back from sonic and had him put it back to stock... software number 1.10.605.8... Which root, unlock, s off method do I need to use?! Htcdev or rumrunner?! Thanks in advance

If Sonic did his java card magic, you are s-off. Search this forum using the exact words from your question and those exact threads regarding root, OTA updates and how to unlock without HTCdev. Great threads and easy!

I started with a 100% stock phone direct from Verizon. It had the 1.10.605.8 on it. Before I planed to use rumrunner I let it do the system update to 1.10.605.10 and so that is the version of rumrunner I downloaded and used. The post above mine has the links that I used.

I searching for the best root method, for an ATT Galaxy S3. The toolkit does not work on the latest update. And who wants to screw around with ADB. Is there another method similar to SuperOneClick that will root and install CWM and superuser at the same time.
CRzy
Toolkit is the easiest way. If not working try Odin. And if you search a little there is plenty of thread about this subject...

Ok
I tried the toolkit, but apparently it doesn't work with the latest update. I have also tried to download a root injected rom. That didnt work either.

Thank You
I am giving it up, and taking it to ATT. Worst case scenario, is I will just have to get a new phone. Could be worse, at least I am eleigible for an upgrade. Thanks everyone for your help
How getting a new phone will help you? You just need to go back before the last update

So i just bought a refurbished Sony Xperia Ion from eBay. The seller said it was unlocked, but i haven't tested yet since Its at&t and so is my provider. Anywhoo, I would like to Flash CM10 to it but, I can't find any somewhat simple instructions on how to root it first. The boot loader is also locked. Also I'm somewhat new to rooting, I was a previous jailbreaker before i switched to android (I still love both operating systems). I guess you could say had some practice when i had my Galaxy s4. Any links or just a written instructions would be a great help. Thanks!

And I would also suggest you to deodex your rom after rooting and installing cwm. Only then you can apply all themes to your ion

Enable usb debugging in developer options in settings. Install proper adb drivers. Download the zip. Extract it to a folder and then run that batch file from there. You will be asked to press enter to proceed. Make sure you have unknown sources enabled in your settings. If you follow all the steps it will definitely work. Drivers are generally headache. Generally the install automatically by pc companion and software update service app by Sony or you can download from the site of adb drivers.

I had doubts too. Just figured id ask! If you find out different lemme know! Thanks guys :]
The model "trltevzw" is for the developer edition. Just to clarify it. I would NOT run this in Odin if you are on a retail device!
Nice find tho! I read the article and i was instantly like WTF! Went to the link to Chainfires site and yea its for the DE. LOL
Good looking out tho sir!
