This is the Sprint OTA (JWR67B) announced on 10/31 packaged in to a ROM, this is meant for anyone who is not on stock or doesn't want to go through the hassle of flashing a 4.2.1 stock ROM and flashing the OTA zip.
Click to collapse
If you're using a stock 4.2.1 ROM and you want to update to 4.3, do not use flash this, you will lose your data, flash this if you're on a stock 4.2.1 ROM and want to update to 4.3.
Given this a Stock ROM, gapps do NOT need to be flashed after installation, they are included.
If you are looking for the GJ04 CDMA/LTE radios that came with the 4.3 Sprint OTA, you can find them here.
Root is not included in this ROM, if you want root, be sure to flash a superuser zip following installation, such as SuperSU v1.65
Busybox v1.21.1 is included in this ROM.

Not that it much matters, but script output when flashing in recovery identifies it as rooted and I believe deodexed (even though it's neither)

When you say "you will lose your data", do you mean it will wipe the SD card? In other words, will I be ok backing up with Titanium? Thanks and I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Just as the voice of other, you can flash on a rooted device, the procedure would be:
flash stock recovery > apply ota > flash recovery via odin > flash latest root from recovery in recovery.
Can you actually flash it on the rooted phone? And what is the change log?

Thanks for this!
Watch this video if you're rooted and want to update:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KeZx65twLk
It will get you stock recovery back and you can manually install the update. Then just watch my how to root video after to get root back
Also, here is a mirror for the file:

LG8? The one on Sprint's site says LG4, as of 7/25.

Yup, because you have to flash the stock recovery via Odin to accept the OTA. Then you have to re-root by flashing back to CWM recovery and the teamwin root zip. Follow the QBKing77 video above to guide you through it

I have no Idea why Samsung and/or Sprint chose to do this, but with the LG8 and LI3 updates, we've lost the ability to select the WiFi frequency band (2.4/5GHz). Maybe the WiFi chip isn't stable enough with that option but F that. I've decided to add it right back.
Grab it here: LI3 ROMs:

Grab it here: LG8 ROMs:

You will only need to flash this if your current ROM is based on the LG8/LI3 update.

You have to be rooted with a custom recovery installed to flash the file in the op. Also, the file is only currently for deodexed roms. I am stock rooted and waiting on the odex zip fix.

I just upgraded from a samsung captivate to to the i747. I am familiar with the rooting process and flashing roms. However with this device I noticed I have CLI5 installed on it. Someone posted that it fixes an overheating issue on the MA6 firmware and baseband. So edit your build.prop and change all MA6 occurrences with MB1 save, exit, reboot (that will stop the update nag) then wait for a firmware and baseband flashable to show up.

If you *need* the update now and have CWM/TWRP, flash stock recovery zip from freeza, reboot and take update, then re-root via team epic method or cf-auto-root. Took about 3 minutes total for me.
Or wait until someone with more skillz than me uploads a CWM/TWRP flashable zip.
