I've heard that upgrading from stable to nightlies cannot be done or causes problems. Will I run into trouble if I upgrade to The snapshot 10.2?
I have a t999v but I'm running the d2tmo version
Thanks

Normally there would be no issues, but going from 10.1.3 to 10.2 will cause problems. Wipe it.
I tried it yesterday. Don't do it. Things just won't crashing and I had to wipe and reflash.

Does that mean I'll have to wipe my device for the 10.2 stable version once it comes out?
Thanks

So I was having problems with CM6 rc2 screwing up my home and search buttons and they wouldnt work.
So from reccomendation I flashed to the latest nightly. Well now I'm on the latest nightly I rebooted my phone to fix a sms problem and now the buttons aren't working again.
What do I do?
Is there a better rom then cm6? or is there a more stable nightly that's better then RC-2?
Rc 2 is the most stable. U have to wipe cache and the drive.. Nightlies are not for users who need a stable rom

See and everyone told me the issue I'm having is standard with the RC-2 so that's why I flashed it.
Does anyone know what could be causing this problem I'm having?
Did you file a bug report on the issue tracker? Might want to start there. Or hop on #CyanogenMod on Freenode.

Hello,
I am using Cynogenmod 10 and I recently downloaded the newest Gapps to update my existing ones. My question is:
Can I just flash the newest Gapps? If not, what would the process be?
Thank you very much!

I believe you just have to delete cache and wipe dalvik and install the new gapps.
Make sure Gapps is for JB 4.1.2 and not 4.2.1. CM10 is still on 4.1.2. unless you are running the unofficial 10.1 rom.
Edit** 10.1 Nightlies are now rolling out. So flash 4.2 Gapps if you are planning on running it
Hello everyone. The other day I wanted to change ROMs. From AOKP to Cm 10.1. Everything was fine until my data wouldn't connect on Cm 10.1 so I went back to AOKP but I'm still having the same problem! I had a back up from November 2012 AOKP 4.1.2 everything works on the this backup. I thought maybe it was just those two ROMs or something so I flashed Slim bean and everything went fine but I was still experiencing the same problem. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Did you flash the newest radio? The newer CM10.1 builds require it. That is where you should start. It is called uvmc6 and can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895400
No I haven't. I figured that since I'm running an older version of AOKP I didn't haven't to. I tried the newer versions of AOKP and the older versions of AOKP. I get the same results. So now I'm going to flash CM 10.1 and then flash the radio and see if it'll work.

The uvmc6 is for 4.1.2 and the cm 10.1 is 4.2.2.

The radios in that thread should work with any T989 ROM.
Alright. Thanks for the help. I'll flash the cm10.1 and the radio and see if it fixes my problem and I'll get back to you. Thanks again.

Hi,
I currently have an S3 running CM10.1.0-RC2-d2att
Apparently there is a known issue with battery draining fairly quickly on this release. Is there anything I can do to fix this other than flashing a nightly (as I don't really know how stable those releases are)? Any tips is greatly appreciated!
Also - if I do have to flash a nightly, can I simply update it from the settings menu, or will I lose ALL MY DATA and flash it the manual way?

If you don't factory reset, you won't lose your data. That's what we call a dirty flash, you'll have to clear cache/dalvik and system though.
And until updated, not much you can do to fix the battery drain. Other than use another ROM or try nightlys until it is fixed.
You can simply clear cache and davlik cache before flashing. You can try the 524 nightly release. I had the best battery life on that nightly and there were no bugs at all.
Rc2 was extremely buggy. The few nightlies after that are even more refined.

Thanks for the reply!
So can I just update it through the rom? (System Settings -> About Phone -> CyanogenMod Updates -> cm-10.1-20130525-NIGHTLY)
524. I'm not too sure about 525. I think that's just a method of downloading the rom, not flashing it. Simply flash it via cwm

EDIT: Just flashed the 29th nightly. Hope it all works...!
I'll upload it and link it to you when I get wifi. Maybe in an hour or so.

Hello, I am running on CM 10.1 R4 on my i747.
Before I tried installing a kernel for the international version on my i747 and it hard bricked. I got it fixed by JTAG repair.
Now I have installed CM 10.1 R4 like I mentioned before and want to install this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
Are there any variables that can go wrong? i don't want to spend another 40$.

Just flash the aosp version and you'll be fine.
Wipe cache and dalvik before hand and enjoy.
