Hi there,
I am from Singapore and has bought 7100 and 7105 today. I had root the phone using Odin. But when I tried installing omega Rom, it prompts me
E: signature authentication failed.
Can anyone help? Did I miss out anything?

Probably a bad flash, redownload the rom and try again. Also enable usb debugging in settings, development options.
Hi, thanks for the advice. I will try the downloading again.

Did u root only? Or u inject CWM as well?
My understanding u will need cwm recovery to flash custom rom.

Nope.
U will loose ur 4g network.
If u r unlucky enough, u will get more problems.
Trust me... Don't. Unless u know how to fix all the problems occur.

Yeah, that's what I expected. Thanks for the confirmation.
I'll just have to wait for more roms to be released for N7105.

I wiped all the partitions in TWRP and flashed the stock rom via odin and now the serial no in settings matches the one written under the battery. Maybe it was Android ID being shown by CM 10.1 and stock rom shows DEVICE SERIAL NO.

I had this exact same issue when running pa on this device. The same also happened when flashing pa onto my transformer tf300.
Anyone know why?

My network works fine, I never had a problem with that. May be if ur signals are gone, its an efs partition issue. Restore ur efs backup and u will be good to go or alternately u can go back to latest firmware and network issues will resolve.

Hey guys
I just recently bought this phone and its really great so i tried to install cwm n root it but its not happening.I previously had a galaxy ace so i am familiar with the process cuz i had done it a zillion times but here the problem is half the time my phone is not recognized by odin n it was recognized a few times n i flashed the cwm file and it all went good but cwm never came but it shows in odin mode that i had flashed it so i dont understand the problem.
And yes i formated and tried again but its still the same thing..i tried different cwms n even the root package but nothing happens..i tried to flash a rom also but that too doesnt happen n i tried to update my phone by kies but it shows a problem in that too
Please help me out here..im running official 4.1.2 indian version..It had come with official ics but i did the ota updates

During the installation of cmw untick the auto reboot option and leave the rest as it is!
When done flashing remove battery and restart in cmw.

As the fellow members said this is usual. That red message shows the eMMC firmware version. Nothing great. And using a PIT file never changes that. A pit file is Partition Identification Table in which a code is written directing the Odin to flash files to different directories. Never use a pit file unless or until necessary. Flashing with a pit file may not be a walk in the park all time. Pit should be used only if Odin says There is no PIT partition. So never advice anyone in that way to use PIT.
