Android Bugs In Galaxy Y DDMD1
Firmware
1.Camera Bug : While recording videos
on galaxy y no sound is recorded. The
videos are recorded without any sound
and this is very irritating as you find
there is no sound in your favorite
recorded videos. This problem goes
after clearing the camera app cache
but comes back again after sometime.
2.Performance Bug : After installing
the android 2.3.6 DDMD1 firmware
the phone became slow as compared to
its previous firmwares. Apps
sometimes crash due to very slow
performance of android system.
3.WiFi Hotspot Bug : When we use
galaxy y in wifi hotspot mode then the
data network automatically
disconnects then reconnects after
few seconds. This wifi hotspot bug in
galaxy y wastes more data if you are
sharing it with your laptop or tablet,
because the downloads will break in
between due to data network
disconnection and you have to re-
download them, therefore much data
is wasted.
4.Network Signal Bug : The network
signal strength on galaxy y is
sometimes very poor inside buildings.
The signals are between 1 and 3
signals when inside a building and
sometimes the network signal
strength is almost zero. Also the
voice of calling person is sometimes
not much clear and audible in galaxy y
earpiece. You need to move out of
house for good network reception.
5.Surround Sound Effect Bug In Voice
Calls : Sometimes I hear surround
sound effect during making or
receiving voice calls which is very
irritating as we can’t hear the voice
correctly in earpiece. This problem
arises when the network signal
reception is low.
The above mentioned bugs are
currently can be found in galaxy y ddmd1
and
to cope with these bugs you have to
downgrade your galaxy y to android
2.3.6 DDLK2 which is the stable
android firmware for galaxy y.

So i tried to make a several calls from my skype when I was connected to the cellular internet and the quality was very poor
I wanted to know is it my provider disease or it is something global?
I think it is your provider.
Personally I use skype only when I'm connected to Wifi and the quality is very good.
On my 3G data connection, VOIP is not allowed.
@++
On WiFi i have a grate quality but the problem is with the 3G i have a delay and sometimes the other side cant hear me
Depends what speed you are on.
You need at least 3.5g for it to work well.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
You should have least 5 MB synchronous for it to work good..
IP telephone need a lot of bandwidth in both directions
My provider is horrible, so its not very good, however, for some reason viper works better for me
Hi,
My signal reception is not always great. Sometimes i also have the issue of having no reception untill i unlock my screen, but thats not always the case, sometimes i have to reboot the phone to get my signal back but this not always work. The signal loss occurs even when i'm asleep and the phone is on my nightstand.(i've seen this in the battery history). Battery drainage is not greater when there's no signal. Also when i make calls i and sometimes the other person hear loud noises(peeping). Also my signal bar show full bars and when i try to make a call this doesn't work because when after a while trying to make the call, the bars drop to maybe 1 or even no bars.
The problem with high pitched noises while making calls i've had from the beginning, in GB. Losing signal reception i've had since i 've rooted ICS 4.0.3(one-click doomlord). under 4.0.3 i've flashed the .72 baseband but that didn't helped. Now recently i've did a factory reset + flashed a generic 4.0.4 and rooted it, because 4.0.4 isn't yet released in Belgium. under root I removed bloatware, but didn't remove critical apk's.
In the menu with available network providers my operator/provider has only 2G, i've choosen the automatic connection instead of manual, only in big cities 3G appears in the menu, dunno if this is relevant.
My Sim is maybe 3 years old.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I do recommend buying a very cheap signal booster.
It's like a bumper sticker and placed where the antenna.
The signal problems rarely belong to the cell, in most cases within a few base stations belonging to the company in relation to users.
I hope I have helped.
best regards
Hello All,
I have been experiencing dropped calls on my new s3 when I'm calling and texting at the same time. Also, sometimes my contact would not respond. I'm just wondering if they are common problems among the s3 or I just received a defect? Thanks all!
I didn't even know we could do both at the same time, how exciting. I'll have to try it out and see what happens.
I'm at home where I can only make calls via wifi but everything worked fine. Maybe you're in an area with poor service? Can you test it where you have full signal, 2 bars, 1 bar? I'd be interested in learning more about the problem you're experiencing.

I'm in my apartment, where it usually gets full bar. (but sometimes it also gets 1 or 2 bars for a little bit, then it bounces back to full bars) In addition to the initial calling and texting problem, I also started to get dropped calls and it lags, especially during texting (both while in call and standalone) I wonder if my unit is defective . . .
Call tmo and get a free signal booster.
just use wifi calling when you're at home.
Hello community,
1. I have a low wifi signal - about 10-12 dbm less then my old lg g3 or lg g5 or galaxy j7 pro - seams it is just an integrated wifi antenna issue and there is no way to fix it
2. When scanning wifi networks I have a very not stable results: even when the signal is excellent about 55-60dbm the ssid is appear and goes all the time occasionally - seams it is a wifi driver bug
Especially I see it when using WIFI analyzer.
Couple of days before I opened thread with Sony support and don't have answer.
I must have the WI-FI card working well !
Someone have the same issues?
Someone have any ideas about fixing the low wifi signal ?
Thanks,
p.s the wifi connection is stable with day by day standard usage.

hi
I CANT EVEN USE WIFI
like u said,i found my signals are very weak at the first.
i think its just a bug and didnt care about it
however 1 week later my phone suddenly cannot connect to any wifi.all the wifi spots are shown as almost no signal and it will repeat"connecting, saved"'
and i found this is a serious problem, used Xperia companion to fix that
But it didnt work and i couldnt turn on the wifi option now.
it will reboot when im trying to turn on the wifi option.
i think its likely to be a hardware issue, but my LTE worked very well without problem.
im very Confusing now
Has anyone else found that when they are making a call they lose most of their data throughput with Android P? I used to be able to multitask during a call and open web pages or other apps but now if I am on a call I get incredibly reduced data speeds until I hand up the call. I tried turning off the Advanced calling setting but then I lose data capability completely
Nope, mine works fine.
Is your phone dropping from 4g,LTE or whatever name it gets in your country to 3g? While on a call, my old phone did this, but the pixel 2 should be supporting VOLTE, or whatever they call it.
Sounds to me it is dropping to 3g while on a call tho.
