Does One X record 1080p with 30 fps, or with 24 fps like on ics, i asked this because of updates.....and because one x+ have the same camera and record 1080 with 30 fps and 720 with 60 fps. If not on stock is this posible with some mod or something ?
It gets up to 30 fps in sinnt conditions but frame dropping and lack of image stabalisation makes videos look horrible.

My ex phone (HTC Sensation) recorded 30 fps in no matter condition, so it's weird that next flagship has fps drop while recording :S

I'm using Badaboom H264 Nvidia encoder and for Galaxy Nexus (also 720p screen) they recommend the ZuneHD profile.
..
How are you even able to shoot in SlowMotion after the Sense 5 update? I cant even do that
Removing the slowmotion on Sense 5 for the HOX was the worst thing to do

I don't know if this is the right place for this but ever since the update to sense 5 I've been getting very dark video when trying to do slowmotion I'm positive it wasn't this dark on sense 4, is everyone else getting this?

thats just what happens with slo-mo i would go all scientific but that will takee too long... if you record at a lower resolution it should make it brighter

is the hox actually increasing the shutter speed for the increased fps or is it software based that plays back the video at a lower fps?
Never been a fan of the slow motion feature on phones, no where near the fps you need for real smooth videos.

It's normal that on slow motion you have darker video than normal, i can't explain but that's it. Try with google
I was messing around with the slow motion camera on the htc one and it its a pretty cool feature. But how does it compare to the iphone 5s? obviously its going to be different because the iphone 5s has a 12Mp camera (I think at least) but how many frames a second does the htc one shoot when its in slow motion mode. you can set the speed to 1/4 normal speed so I would think that would make it 120 frames a second or does it only shoot at 60 frames a second and then just slow it down more to appear 1/4 the speed in real life?

I think they both shoot 120fps slow motion
They both shoot at 120fps, but the iPhone 5s does it at 1080p while the HTC one brings down the resolution to 768 by 432

Click the menu in the camera app and go to video capture mode or whatever and there's a couple of options. Btw I'm loving that splash screen you had done.
Me to ! Fader is awesome !
I had no idea our phone could do this. Guess I should start reading manuals

i am not an iphone person but i have to say the 5s slow motion is bad ass . you take a video and then you can edit it in such a way that just a portion of the video is slow motion (or the whole thing). my buddy took a video of his friend playing golf . and then made it so the swing was slow motion . holy s&^%. the sound was awesome in slow motion and the video was awesome quality . got to give props where props are do . good job on this one apple .
Any way to bump up slow motion to at least 720p?

I totally agree. Slow motion video on the 5s is amazing. I can live with the lack of sound on the One's slo—mo, but the quality is not that great. It would be great to see the resolution bumped up to 720p.

Click a slowmo video in the gallery, then click menu->edit.
The HTC One X had a pretty good camera for the time, but there was a mod to the camera app which was the HQ Camera Mod for HTC One X by NODO-GT. It enhanced the image and video quality quite a bit by reducing compression and size limitations etc. Maybe a mod like that is possible on the HTC One, just to unlock the potential of the camera. Also, the camera tends to overexpose in the stock app, not much in other apps though, so maybe that could be fixed with software too. Just a thought but would it be possible?

We don't really need a MOD since we have manual control. If something is too exposed... Turn exposure down.

Dont know if we dont need One... The good thing about that mod was the reduced compression and upped bitrate. lets see what someone with knowledge says about m8 compression.

I agree. Being able to manually control exposures is nice but it makes a lot more sense to be able to have higher quality images taken without having to do so...

One thing I would like to see that we do not have any control of right now is image sharpening control, especially on the video camera function. Image sharpening was really out of control on the M7 and they have certainly improved it on the M8, but I still don't like how high the sharpening level is.
I would love it if somehow someone could make an Xposed module that lets us adjust the sharpening levels on the native HTC camera app.
Agreed something like that would be awesome.....

There's sharpening in the settings..unless you're talking about some other form of sharpening that I'm unaware of...not sure why my screenshot ended up sideways...
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using xda app-developers app
The reason for the one x camera mod was because the one x compressed its images and videos horribly. The m8 record at 20mbps so the video quality is pretty much maxed for 1080p, images are about 3mb for 4mp which would be almost if not completely uncompressed.

As the title suggest. Is there any differences between Slow Motion Recording via Time Shift mod and Slow Motion video edited using the Movie Creator app? Can someone make and upload the comparison? Thanks.

The Timeshift mod is probably recording at a higher frame rate so you get smooth slow-mo, the app would be slowing the video down, so will probably look jerky (never used it though)

Yeah it does look kinda blurry. I really don't feel like modding my Z1C... ? I'll try looking more into this, thanks dude.

Hi,
Slowmotion edition will never be as good as slowmotion recording.
Guess you're talking about the 120fps timeshift mod.
With this mod, you'll take 4 times more frames/sec than usually. So when you'll bring it back to 30fps, all your 30 frames will be different, resulting in a very smooth slowmotion video.
In the other hand, if you're editing a "normal" video (30fps) to 4 time slower, you will just duplicate each frame 4 times. You'll just have an illusion of slowmotion. But your video will only be 7-8 fps.
I mod my Z1c a week after I bought it... I have no regret.

Yeah, at first I didn't want to install the mod cuz you had to have custom recovery. Turns out you only need Xposed. Now I'm loving this Timeshift Video thing ?
