USB Malfunctioning

Hi,I have a problem with my Galaxy W USB.The phone usb stops responding and i am not be able to CHARGE it even connect it to my pc.I notice that when i reboot via recovery mode and i check the error log,Some files in /sys/class/android_usb are completely missing.Is there any other way that i can fix this problem?Please advice and help.

[Q] USB Problems

Hey guys,
Now, my Galaxy Note 2 was rooted. When I connected it with the USB cable to my PC the PC didn't recognize it (it used too, but then suddenly it stopped connecting). It still charges but no new device is detected. No Kies, no MTP, no Odin.
I didn't worry too much, because being rooted I could still do everything using the external sd card.
However then the ROM for Android 4.3 was leaked I stupidly installed the stock version. So, no root, and no capability to mess around with the phone.. I also have no viewable option in Settings to set the device connection to MTP, or PTP mode as usual, but maybe that's because of Android 4.3
I have bought a new USB flex part, opened it and replaced it but it still didn't work.
I download a version of phoneutils.apk and installed (because the one on Android 4.3 didn't have Qualcomm USB settings option) and choose the correct options, but still nothing.
Do you have any idea what may have gone wrong? Or what I can try to do?
I desperately want to root the thing.

This might sound stupid but... have you tried a different USB cable? Or USB port? Sometimes this can solve these kind of issues. Take a look in your computer's Device Manager and see if you have any problems with the USB hub driver. Also try to connect using a different PC and see if that works.
You can try and boot in Download mode (Vol down + Home + Power) and see if ODIN sees the phone. If so, you can flash another stock firmware and see if your USB works then.

Phone goes into download mode but Odin does not recognize it..

[Q] Galaxy Nexus WONT being recognized at PC !!!

My symptoms are here :
1) wont charge on AC or USB when power on ( no charging animation) !!!! ***But it charges when power completely off*** (got icon charging at centre of the screen)
2) wont being recognised by PC at all (cant access) shows unrecognized device at all time
**weird thing is when i plug to my laptop USB2.0 port it shows nothing (like nothing connected) , only shows device not recognized when i put it in USB3.0 port **
I ve done many researched and did following steps with unsuccessful result :
1) Factory reset for multiple times .
2) Already did force driver install but wont install at all **Naked driver, google driver, samsung driver, PDAnet driver.... (already disable force driver signature in windows 8)
I have no idea at all now someone plz help me ??? appreciate it , thanks in advance ...
Note :
This nexus running stock 4.3 (never rooted) .
It was fully working with connect to PC (MTP) and can show USB connected and Debugging on when pull down the notification bar , few minutes ago TT

Its not charging even though when power off , its just showing charging icon but not charge .
(i power off when 80% , after an hour i power on back , its still 80%)

It definitely sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried connecting it to another PC?
If it works on another PC then you should be able to determine that your laptop is the issue.
Have you tried uninstalling whatever driver it's using from device manager?
edit: Didn't see your edit. Could also be the cable.

[Q] Unable to use USB as data connection

Hi,
I have an Xperia Arc with PolygonKK 1.4 custom ROM.
I had a problem similar to what has been reported many times of Xperia S where the phone becomes soft brick if the battery was completely drained, and the phone was not starting or allowing me to recharge the battery. This problem was fixed by charging the battery outside the phone and then plugging it in and starting the phone.
The problem now is that neither my phone or my PC can detect that they are connected via a data cable.
I checked the cable with another phone, it works fine, and I am using the same PC that I have always used to handle my phone (on windows and linux).
When I try to access fastboot mode I see the blue LED but the PC detects nothing
Flash tool does not detect any mode connected (fastboot, ADB, Flash)
I tried cleaning the USB port with no result.
I think now that the port is damaged, but I still have a little hope that this is a software issue, is there a way to know what has happened to the phone?

S4 mini duos not detected by pc via usb cable

I bought in January s4 mini duos
At the beginning i was well without problem I plug it into my pc it is detected without problem I did all my transfer data without problem
I put a day the system to an official 4.4.2 via Odin and all is well detected without the problem
But last week it is no longer detected on pc via usb cable when I plug it will start charging but without any sign of detection of equipment or on phone or pc .
I test other cables , other pc and nothing changes and the problem persists.
Help me please

Does it connect in download mode? (maybe also try change MTP etc) Different mode uses different USB drivers etc. Have read sometimes a USB port seems to become disabled in one mode but will work in other.
Make sure your USB driver is good. Are you using the same drivers from some "dodgy" website if so uninstall and just allow Windows to find drivers or get from samsung.
You may be able to enter the USB service menu and change settings by entering *#0808# in dialer then select MTP (or maybe *#7284# & set to PDA)
But connector/power board may have a problem

same problem in download mode is not detected.

when I 'll branch pc displays a notification at the bottom next to the date indicates an unrecognized USB device.

Turn phone off. Remove battery & SIM (though I think it's probably the battery that does the trick). Reassemble & your USB may be back if it's none of the other things and it's not hardware .......:fingers-crossed:
(If it doesn't work 1st time do it again but only reassemble after a minute or two to be certain all power is drained from caps etc.)
