[THEME] Clean TW Lockscreen Mod

Hi everyone!
I didn't like the animated arrows on Samsung's lockscreen, but couldn't find a mod for it here.
So I tweaked it a bit to remove the text and the arrows Here's a preview:

How-to:
1. Decompile framework-res.apk, navigate to \res\values\
2. do a search for strings.xml files in explorer
3. Drag and drop all the files from the search results into Notepad++
4. Find using REG expressions:
zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2.*
replace with:
zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2"> </string>
(Tip: use the "replace in all open documents" button)
5. Save all files
6. Compile apk as usual

Edit: Noticed that I still have the text for swiping the screen. Did you remove only english text because mine is in finnish?

For English, it's under res\values\strings.xml
Do a search in the file for zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2
You can also find other strings.xml files for various languages in other values folders (e.g. values-es)

As JPO and JPA seem to be mostly different in localization I would take a wild guess and say yes.
You better prepare an update.zip with your vanilla framework though better safe than sorry.

Not at the moment, I'm waiting for the official Froyo builds to be released before making mods for them. Right now seems many are suffering from ORD (me included )
Also looking into how the pngs can be added to apks to save some work

This is exactlly what i was looking for...but now ive had it for a few days and reading other mods is there any chance you could make the extended power menu for this aswell? then it will truely be perfection...

I agree.. i love the look of this theme..
If it included the ext. power menu.. I would use it forever.. lol
Maybe this is something that can be done by me if someone tells me how?
Also i am a noob with this stuff.. i have no idea how to install this even with instructions in thread.. So i would like to make this into a cwm flashable zip.. with the power menu added. If it's easy maybe someone could tell me how or just cook it up for me?

[THEME] Gingerbread with Keyboard /new 2.2.6 Market for CM 6.1.1 Stable

Here my new Theme for CyanogenMod 6.1.1 Stable!
Many users like the new Gingerbread style so I created
this little Theme.
For notification color,clock color etc.use attached "xml.file".
Extract from zip file and copy to /sdcard/CMTheme) then sellect in CMSettings.
If "CMTheme" folder not exist,make a folder on your sdcard called CMTheme
put the "xml file" it in there.
GO to setting>CMSetting>User Interface>Tweak extras>Select a Theme.
Version 1.0
- Initial Release
Version v2.0
- Added 2 new Nexus S LiveWallpapers,but Microbes have little bugs
- Launcher support only Portrait mode
- Many backgrounds added
- Modified some images
Version v2.1
- Music apk themed
- Now with themed ADW Launcher and landscape support
- New Android market 2.2.6 (not 2.2.7) but better then nothing
I have no problems at the moment.

yes, but this is first time I am trying to use a theme so I probably FU somewhere

Sorry,not at the moment.Because using CM as my daily ROM.
To port to other ROMs I have to flash this ROMs to my phone for
testing it out!

Almost.. any idea why, on Gingerbread keyboard, I see only numbers 1,2,4,5,0 above letters and not the others?

Hm,don`t have this problem,maybe clear the cache (Settings>Application>Manage Applications>All>Android Keyboard >Clear Cache).
Or do cache and dalvik-cache wipe and flash again!
Don`t know if this helps.

It didn't help, but I found the reason.. I chose Croatian as input language, now when I choose English US it shows..

Don`t extract the Gingerbread CM 6.1.1 zip!

You might wanna try the latest CM 6.1.1! I had been using stock deodexed forever but CM finally is stable so... why stay wth stock?

Thanks for the quick work! I have one more request. I think you also a interessno. You made the icon for "sms" in blue, but the application itself has not changed (such as white and blue). So. "Settings Widget" no transparent!? Why?

the weather is bad

Power saving widget isn't working for me too, I mean it isn't transparent. It shouldn't be 100% transparent in my opinion.

I put system UI in /system/app and it kept force closing had to hard reboot and reflash, was using cm9 for galaxy s2, any ideas?

Install recovery after wipe cache and dalvik-cache, no copy root explorer.

I tried to install the mod again, according to the instructions, but to no avail. Receive eternal boot animation ... I had to do nandroid restore . By the way, have you tried the black sms?

[5.0.2][DIALER]For XT1033/32 with Lollipop

Hi,
This my first time on themes/apps section.
I'm posting the Dialer.apk file for Lollipop soak test moto g's. Tested on xt1033(My own).
What I've done - just changed the icons of the dialer.apk of stock Motorola soak test to stock Google's GPE ROM's dialer's icons.
Tested on xt1033. You tell me xt1032 users. Does it work good?
Also, it only works on 5.0.x

Procedure -(Root required)
1) Download any root browser
2) go to /system/priv-app/dialer/dialer.apk
3) replace the new dialer.apk with the above one
4) set permissions [all ticked]
5) reboot.

Shouldn't be that way! This was apk for soak test. The stock firmware 5.0.2 and not the soak test might have problems as I've opened up the dialer.apk of the new 5.0.2 which is almost the same except a few tweaks.
It's running well on many of my friend's moto g.
Anyways, let me tell you what you should do-
1) Download 5.0.1 update of GPE ROM for moto g - http://android.clients.google.com/p...ncremental-KTU84P.M003_18-LRX21Z.M002_15.zip4
(THANKS TO @pfufle)
2) Open the update zip and navigate to system/app(or)priv-app/Googledialer.apk
3) Extract the file to Desktop.
4) Go to system of moto g(if rooted) and navigate to the dialer.apk
5) Extract it to the desktop
6) Now convert both the apks - i.e. googledialer.apk and dialer.apk into .zip
7)extract the icon files from all the folders of googledialer.zip - hdpi, dpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi etc. and replace with the files on the dialer.zip
8) rename the dialer.zip into dialer.apk
9) copy it to moto g's system and set permissions
10) reboot
11)You'll find that the icon has changed if the icons are copied correctly with all permissions ticked.

Just an icon change. Stock kitkat dialer icon replaced with google dialer's material themed dialer icon.

Sorry for late reply.I had no internet access for some period.
I don't think that the reason for stopping is launcher.Look for another reason like some tweaks for SystemUI.

The only man who can answer your question is You.
Unfortunatelly I don't have 810 on hands and cann't test it.
Just make full back up with TWRP and flash required zip. You will see the result and then make a post in this thread so I will add 810 to topic.

Since you already figured out how to change the cot on this version of systemui, care to give me a little help on which values to modify on my t715? I spent all night yesterday on trying to get this to work but I apparently did something wrong.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right? Other versions of touch wiz seem to use the drawable-xxhdpi folder, but I can only find that in /vendor/.
I'd just use your apk but I can't afford a broken system today because I have finals in a couple days and I shouldn't even be making this post actually.

First of all you should make your system deodexed.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right?
That is correct. But you need to decompile this file to make changes like it was made in my modds.
Unfortunatelly I cannot write complete how-to because of lack of time. But you can find these how-to's on xda-forum.Just use search. Find any how-to concerning tweaks or color changes of systemui.apk for any popular Samsung model(I was using how-to from S5,S6 and Note 4).

3rd option gave error: systemui stopped working. No mods installed, only deodexed.

I have just dowloaded 3rd option from MEGA and flashed on my Tab. Everything working well. Youn should check any other tweaks to systemui. Mods should be installed to clean deodexed OJ4 system.
There is another screenshot taken just few minutes ago.
