Hi XDA,
I have a galaxy nexus on stock ROM, and Fancy kernel and the other day, i was trying to send a text message to my sister and it was stuck at saying sending. It started on that day and it was doing that for all of my contacts. I reset my APN settings back to default, i cleared all data for stock messaging app, power off, power on and a factory reset but I still cannot send text messages. Can anyone help? I purchased the galaxy nexus from google play and im using tmobile HSDPA on it.

Hi guys,
Had this problem of sending out SMSes from the stock messaging app for a couple of weeks now and even got a new SIM card in the process.
Went through the whole ordeal of entering SMSC numbers under the '*#*#4636#*#*' menu, using both numeric and PDU codes, but the problem still persists.
Some users recommended GO SMS Pro as it allows the user to enter a customised SMSC number...but I could send SMSes even without changing any of the settings.
Ironically, those SMS which were not sent or 'stuck' in the stock messaging app gets 'flushed' out when I send an SMS using GO SMS Pro.
I've seen this problem surfacing here and there but have yet to find a conclusive solution.
Would really appreciate any help I can get on this nagging problem
Using Galaxy Nexus GSM, running on AOKP M5 with franco's kernel.
SMS works fine on my Nexus One.
Hey my question is seems like after installing the new aokp my texts are being delayed when I'm tying to send a text. When I send many at a time it fails to send. I went into app setting and forced stop and deleted the cache, restarted my phone any suggestions? I'm on Rogers btw
Hi I recently changed my service provider from Mobilicity to Wind Mobile and now I cannot send any text messages.
Every texts I send out results in "Message Not Sent" right after I send out a message..
I did some research and it seems like I need to update my SMSC settings.. However I cannot access my SMSC setting on my S2X by entering *#*#4636#*#* into the dialpad as it disappears every time when I enter it completely..
Does anyone know how I could possibly go about to fix this?
(FYI I'm running Jedi Mind Trick X3)
You have to change your APN settings. These tell the phone what servers and such to send sms through. Hopefully your new carrier's website will have the proper settings on it somewhere. If not, call them.
Sent from my beastly Galaxy S 2.
I've fixed it after alot of trial and error.
Apparently you need to delete all the past SMS from your previous provider before you are able to send any new messages using your new provdier.. on the default SMS app anyway. Handcent and other sms apps works regardless

I was running a custom rom for a bit and just popped onto the pc and flashed a new rom, after that it is no longer letting me send text messages or call anyone...
I have Data and Mobile Networking, I can receive texts and I can browse the web and download apps.
I can't even see my APN settings without Tweaker and when I tried to set the APN settings it still didn't work. It is the same settings already there too.
can anyone help me fix this... I'd be really glad I can't stand this.
What ROM? And have you updated your baseband?
I searched for my topic and see other text messaging threads but the latest being 2008 and not for the Note 2...
I have the l900 Sprint Galaxy Note 2 and my problem is that I don't receive any text messages from anyone for the last 2 weeks. It seems to have started after a weekend of trying s few different LP ROM's, but this has never happened before in the last 4 years of flashing. I have factory reset the l900 3 times this weekend and took it back to unrooted stock with the same result. I odin'ed the NE2 Stock Restore tarball (NE2-Modem/Kernel/ROM - Stock) and set the l900 up several times without any change in the messaging status. I have tried to go in and create an APN based on the default Sprint-LTE settings in my Sprint Galaxy S5 APN's, which are the same as in the Note 2. I can send to the S5 but cannot receive from there or anyone else. Any help would be appreciated!
Solved: Thank you @The_mamba :highfive:

Dray,
I did eventually solve it, though the problem persisted even after RUU. It turns out that the issue was with Google Voice. I don't use Google Voice, but I flashed a ROM that had SMS turned on in Google Voice by default. When I flashed a new ROM, sms was still being handled by Google Voice despite neither Voice nor Hangouts being installed on my phone. You should go into settings in Google Voice and make sure sms is turned off. If the app is not installed on your phone, download it and make sure it is turned off anyway, because as aforementioned it was affecting my sms even though Google Voice wasn't even installed. This should solve it.
