I'm trying to import scanned image (jpg) into s note.
I'm a veterinarian that is trying to import documents in a jpg format. (need to be as image jpg which is the only format that I can export into my veterinary medical record software)
Basically I'm trying to make templates that I can use as medical record when I'm examining patient. Have different templates, for general exam, ocular exam, skin exam etc. Patient come into room, write findings in the the template, save it as jpg file and then export it to my vet software.
My problem is that when I scan my original paper form to make it a template, my scan setting is for letter size, when exported into s note as image, stupid s note does not keep letter size aspect ratio., it shrinks to a 1/3 of original size. If I print the scanned image from my pc it prints at full letter size.
I tried to modify in s-notes the document aspect ratio and still didn't work.
Please Help? How do you make s note keep original letter format when importing jpg?

As some of you may have noticed, attaching large images breaks the phpBB layout.
[DSC00580.JPG left]There is a way to make the "phpBB attachment MOD" do thumbnails, but I didn't like the way attachments get all their meta-info displayed. Nice for zip files and the like, not for images. They should be a natural part of the layout.
Luckily I had some code lying around I wrote for the school website I built a while ago. At that site we use phpBB as a sort of content management system, and the code allows for some flexibility when attaching images.
From now on, if you attach an image, you can give it a place in your message by enclosing the name in square brackets anywhere. So if you attach an image called 'DSC000237.jpg' then if you put '[dsc000237.jpg]' in the text, this gets replaced with the image. (The name is not case sensitive). The image will be resized if it is wider than 500 pixels, clickable for those that want to see the original image. Unless you put 'noframe' after it (i.e. '[dsc000237.jpg noframe]' ), the image will be placed inside a narrow white frame that also holds the attachment description.
[DSC00579.JPG]
If you say '[dsc000237.jpg left]' or '[dsc000237.jpg right]', the image will be inserted to the left or the right of the text flow, and resized to be 200 pixels wide. Again, you can add 'noframe' after the left or right to make the frame disappear.
Any images not mentioned in the text get shown at the bottom of the message, two side by side.
I've added a few pictures with this message so you get the idea. For the curious: it's a school in Eastern Germany, redesigned by Friendensreich Hundertwasser.

How many posts do have to have to post an image?
Hi, I'm looking for two days now ( XDA search, Wiki, Google, WM sites, HD sites ...) for the name of some manila graphic files, need them to polish my theme thanks for your help:
_ First the ones that do the background under icon preview when you press slider icons.
_ Second the ones that appear and disappear when you press a thumbnail picture on the people tab.
Thanks to all contributors evevrywhere on XDA.
PS: it's a manila 2.1 cfc compress from Chainfire
1) The icon preview background is "37172f76_manila" (manila path: "\windows\htc\assets\images\common\vga\black.qtc") - it's a small 2x2 pixel image thats stretched to fill the screen.
2) The selection blade has two parts: first "4e6195ba_manila" (\windows\htc\assets\images\people\vga\blade_body.qtc) - 4x128 stretched horisontaly.
Second: "5dfeddf7_manila" (\windows\htc\assets\images\people\vga\blade_endcap.qtc) -4x128 it's the small curve at the end.
Thanks a lot for the quick help, tonight will finish my theme and perhaps release it ( but i'm shy ...). Where do you find info about manila files, the wiki is imcomplete and like i've said upper i haven't find any web ressource to help me.
Really great forum.
You can use 6Fg8's m9editor to take a look into the mode9 files of manila.
The mode9 files describe how the page should look. E.g. to find the the needed qtc files for the people page I opened people.mode9 (6C422AB4_manila) in m9editor.
Co0kieMonster, can you help me one more time, when i put my png into cfcgui the qtc transformation change some colors into artefact/glitches. I've tryed different dpi and also to compress it with manila editor 0.2 but same result. It never happens before for all my pngs, the same error appears with the two peoples blade files. I put in attachement the png before (the one i want to put) and the one saved from the qtc i obtain.
PS: i've tried to change headers in manila editor but no luck.
I seem to remember reading that the qtc format has problems like that sometimes, but I haven't done much with qtc files so I don't know how it can be fixed. Try asking in the cfcgui thread, someone there will probably know.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the settings of the image viewer so that when you edit (and crop) an image, it does not also re-scale the image size.
For instance, I take a picture at 3264x1836.
I then crop (using the default image viewer (gallery)) a section covering approx 80% of the image and the image that gets saved is 702x367.
Unscaled this should have been something like 2800x1400 (or similar).
I want (and need) to be able to control this scaling myself. The reduction in size is so severe in the default editor is pretty much useless for me.
I tried several other photo editors, and they behaved in a similar way. The closest I've got is Resize-Lite - but even that one scales down to 720p settings.
Any ideas?
Just installed MIUI and having the same issue...
never had with cyanogen or sense...
any ideas?
One of the things I say being totted even back with the OG Note was writing notes on the Maps on directions of where to go, parking, etc. etc.
Basically I'm wondering how I would go about doing that form of editing so that if it was a website where I would want to underline/circle something or even just scribbling something.
Much appreciated.
If you click and hold the s-pen down it takes a screen shot, and you can draw and highlight on that immediately.

Here's Samsung's Photo Editor..... not sure why they included Paper artist instead... this seems to be MUCH more helpful in editing (and writing on) photos
1) Unzip and Install APK
2) While in gallery viewing an image, hit the settings button and click paper artist.
3) Choose Photo editor.
4) To write on images, hit decoration then drawing.
I find this to be the most professional way.... the screen shot approach seems very rudimentary.
NOTE: This is only instructional information for those looking to make their own 1920x1920 edited HD wallpapers and are tired of looking for 1920x1920 wallpapers. I didn't see a similar thread on here and thought I would share some tips for those who aren't familiar with making/editing their own wallpapers.
So I got tired of searching for wallpapers and just edited desktop wallpapers for myself. I just searched on Google for cool stuff, like zombies, movies, anime, digital art, robots, etc, and found a bunch of 1920x1080 wallpapers. I would also recommend adding HD or 1080p in your search criteria to ensure the best quality. Obviously they are made for desktops, so I used Gimp 2 to edit them, by doing an Image > Canvas Size, switching the width to 1080 so it's then 1080x1080. Then do an Image > Scale Image and upscale them to 1920x1920. It's difficult to do because you're essentially taking a rectangular image and making it into a square image when it's not really designed for that. But if you can find the right images, it should be pretty easy to decide how to resize them and to know what to cut off. I've attached an example below. Once you've resized the image to 1080x1080, scale it to 1920x1920, and then if it needs a Sharpen filter, go to Filter > Enhance > Sharpen. And I found out the hard way that Gimp is different from photoshop, as you can't save files that easily as .png/.jpg/.gif file types. You can't just select Save As, you have to go to File and then Export to save it that way.
You can use Photoshop to do this as well. I just particularly prefer Gimp, but to each their own And you can get Gimp for free, just search for Gimp on google.com and it should be the first or second link there that you can download and install it for free. If you want to see more of the ones I've made, as I've made a good bit, just PM me and I can email you a zip file with all the ones I've made in it. If enough people ask for them, I may just edit this post and see if I can just upload them all on here. Or some of them anyway

Image 2. Shows how to scale image

If you have any questions, let me know. (Tried to make this as detailed as possible if you aren't familiar with Gimp or photo editing)
